C3: Team meeting
It was a circular room, the wall covered in mirrors and while it was well lit, there were no visible light-sources.
Not that anyone of them cared after all they were wizards or witches, class S members of the Dark Order and magic was a common part of their lives.
The only way to get in was through the portal-mirrors or Phoenix flashing and as Harry explained, even Fawkes would need to have been there once, before the Phoenix could get there on his own.
Additionally they were curious what might be in the mysterious create beside Harry.
But first Hermione reported on what they had liberated during the battle at the Ministry.
Mainly the files they had on every wizard and witch in the country – something that should be a lot harder to access and which had been ridiculously easy to steal.
They had now a complete list of every muggleborn in Britain as well as all registered werewolves, vampires and many more.
The hardest things to steal had been the Secret Library in the Department of Mysteries – which officially didn't exist, so it was very hard for them to do something about it.
Of cause considering the fact that they had only copied the books and left the originals you could argue they didn't really steal it.
If the Unspeakables knew, they didn't mention it.
They had however many things to say about the destruction of the time room.
Fudge had owled Harry about it, who had replied in a letter, that the enchantments reaction with the Faery-powder used to enable them to reverse the flow of time produced demonic energy, witch was proof, they were either the worst sort of Necromantic or maybe even Demonic artefacts, which caused him to destroy the sources of said energy as was every witch and wizard bound to by the law.
He also mentioned, that the three time turner containing Faery-dust instead of powdered Faery corpses had not been damaged at all, nor did they emit such energy.
He also offered his service at searching for and destroying any additional such artefacts which may be at the ministry without them being aware of it.
That shut the DoM up nicely, especially as the DMLE started demanding to review their activities to ensure they weren't breaking any more laws – which could have something to do with the in depth report on demon summoning from the DoM which had somehow found it's way onto Madam Bones desk.
Ron and Draco reported all known about Death Eater movements – especially the fact that the DEs captured in the Ministry Battle had been freed on their way to Azkaban.
The corpses of the Aurors with them had been found at the pier were the boats to the Island Prison departed.
They also reported that they had come to know of and had prevented a muggle hunting party.
All six wizards attempting to capture, rape, torture and kill a muggle family had been caught before any permanent damage happened and the muggles healed and obliviated.
Two of the men were found to be marked DEs and now imprisoned in the cells in Harry's trunk.
The other four were questioned by Harry – none of them knew Occlumency – and found out to be only 'ass-holes, who would never have the balls to do something like that without being helped along', meaning the DEs had used behaviour adjustment charms on them to encourage them to join.
After breaking the charms, some punishment and one hell of a lot behaviour adjustment charms to make it easier for them to obey some basic rules – no muggle hunting or baiting, no murdering or raping – they were let go again, with the warning, that if they were caught at something like this again, they'd regret it.
Neville reported on their resources and finances as well as on the status of their members abilities class A detailed and an general overview on the lower classes.
Ginny reported what her twin brothers new developments.
Luna an overview over any for their cause important news she had heard from her media connections – the eye-rolling at her mentioning Heliopaths at the Ministry stopped abruptly when Hermione mentioned the DoM files reported fire-elemental creatures like Luna had described called Efreeds being used to protect the Ministers office.
After everyone of them had completed their reports, Harry answered their questions.
The first was, what would happen with the captured DEs.
“Giving them to the Ministry would be stupid, they'll just get broken out like the others. So I've been researching options. First, as they are slaves of Voldemort's, and I'm on blood feud with him, it's well within my rights to make them mine, whenever I or my allies catch them. To legally turn a free being permanently into a slave, you need their agreement out off free will, it's completely outlawed for wizards and witches. Doing so is a crime punishable by execution. Temporary slave contracts are fine, although regulated to ensure the witch or wizard temporary enslaved isn't permanently harmed. Now, slave-brands are a form of permanent enslavement. Not that Voldemort would care about laws. Branded slaves are not considered free beings. Temporary ones are. Turning another ones permanent slaves into mine, would be considered stealing of property, if not for the blood feud and the fact that Tom Riddle isn't licensed to own human slaves at all – I am by the way. But as mentioned, the laws give me the right to take his slaves and do whatever I want with them. Including permanently transfiguring them as well as things like complete memory wipe. So far, I've permanently transfigured them into teenage girls, drained all of their memories and replaced them with new ones – a copy of a collection I think will make them agreeable, whether they stay slaves or are set free – something I haven't succeeded with. Neither was I able to permanently turn them into muggles – the magical energy involved in addition to their own turns them back into witches. This has however the side effect that I'm now able to turn muggles into magicals or squibs depending on how strong a magic source their souls are. None of them can be as strong as a muggleborn, as according to my research, true muggleborn must have strong enough sources to turn magical from that alone.”
“True muggleborn?”, Ginny asked.
“There are a lot so called muggleborn, who are in truth the result of 'rape and obliviate', which is a common sport in certain pureblood circles.”, Draco mentioned, “I would probably have a lot of half-sisters and -brothers if my father hadn't been hexed sterile during that fight against Moody's Auror group a month before my birth. There most likely are a couple anyway.”
“Back to topic, I'm currently researching how to make the change irreversible.”, Harry continued. “I think I've found a way, but it would involve impregnating them, which would be fine for slaves only, but I hope to also use the permanent transfiguration for medical purposes and for that I'll need another way.”
There were some complains against the whole slave stuff, but in the end even Hermione agreed, that it was the best possible way to deal with DEs.
It was Ron, who asked, what was in the create.
Harry smiled and with a wave of his hand floated wooden cases out of it.
One ended in front of each of them bearing their names.
Curiously, they all opened them, and found... wands and enchanted Basilisk-skin forearm wand-holsters.
They took the wands up and...
“Bloody Hell!”, Ron exclaimed, “It feels more powerful than my old wand.”
The others agreed, especially Neville, but without any cursing.
“That's because they are more powerful for you.”, Harry explained, “These are triad core wands, blood bonded to each of you. You remember when I asked for a bit of each of your blood last week? The cores are Phoenix-Feather – from my animagus form by the way – ,one of my hairs – yes, wizards hair is core material, too – and Basilisk heart-string – from the Basilisk I slayed in the Chamber of Secrets. They have been merged into a triad core using a mixture of your blood and Phoenix-tears, before being set into the wood. The wood is Ash soaked in Phoenix-tears for several days. There are runic enchantments on the grip preventing you to lose it through summoning or disarming charms. You will be the only one able to summon them. Because they are blood bonded to you, nobody else will be able to use them as long as you're alive – afterwards your blood will work as a forth wand core, making them... temperamental... but for a blood relative they should work. All the Phoenix-tears are to prevent the Basilisk heart-string to poison you and to make your healing magic more effective. Basilisk heart-string makes for strong hexes, Phoenix-feather helps transfigurations as well as fire- and air-elemental charms, Wizards hair should give you an edge in charms and amplify your power a little and Ash wood can channel more raw power than most other woods. You will however neither be able to cast the Killing Curse with these wands, nor Demonic or Holy spells – neither of which you know any of. That's because of my hairs and feathers.”
They all thanked Harry for their new wands – the old ones would be used as secondary from there on – but all were eager to get out and see how much better they were, so the meeting was soon concluded.
