Hermione and Blaise soon found themselves in a comfortable rythym. They would spend their free time together with Rose like a proper little family. Rose loved Blaise but Ron had moved back to England after 18 months and had gotten in touch with Hermione, and had arranged to see Rose. She had agreed, reluctantly but it had been the best decision ever. Ron and Lavander had got married and had a little boy, Hugo, so Rose loved being a big sister. Even though he had caused her a lot of pain Hermione was actually happy for Ron and Lavander, because they had found proper happiness that she knew would never have happened in their relationship. Besides, she and Blaise were perfect for each other. Everyone could see it.
After Hermione and Blaise had been together for 2 years and had lived together in Blaise's mansion in Cornwall, Rose loved being beside the sea, Blaise had come to a decision. He had deliberated with Harry and Rose for several weeks on the best course of action to allow things to go well, he was ready.
Blaise, Hermione and Rose were having dinner one Saturday evening. Blaise had cooked because Hermione had been at work all day. After dinner Rose played for a while until Hermione announced it was time for Rose's bath and bedtime.
"Wait mummy!"
"Why?"
"Blaisey (her name for him) has something to ask you!"
"And what has Blaisey got to ask?"
"I'm not allowed to say. He wants to ask."
Hermione turned to Blaise, "what have you got to ask that has this young lady bouncing up and down like she's about to lay an egg?"
"Well Hermione, we've been together for two years, live together and I love you more than anything."
"Don't forget me!" Shouted Rose.
"Of course, Rosie-Lee, I love you too." She smiled.
"Yes Blaise but what do you want to ask?"
"Hermione, when I'm with you I feel like the happiest, most lucky guy in the entire universe." He got down on one knee and produced a ring box, causing Hermione to gasp, "will you marry me?"
Hermione stood there, shocked, she had not seen this coming. She knew though that she had found her soulmate in Blaise and with tears in her eyes she answered, "yes, of course!"
They embraced and Blaise slid the white-gold engagement ring onto her finger while Rose cheered and jumped on Blaise's back because she didn't want to be left out. "Can we have ice-cream mummy? Blaisey can we?"
"What do you think 'Mione?" Blaise asked this with the biggest beaming smile Hermione had ever seen.
"Well, seeing as it's a special occassion I think we should go out and get some ice-cream but you're not going to be staying up late every night miss Rose."
"YAY! Thanks mummy."

The wedding was a small intimate affair held in Blaise's mansion in Italy where there first date had taken place. All of their family and closest friends were there to celbrate the union of the two people who were so perfect for each other.
It was at the reception Hermione received a huge surprise from Blaise. He got up on the little stage in the main ballroom with the band. "This song is for my beautiful, the wonderful Hermione. I hope she knows just how I feel about her. Love you baby." With that the band started to play and Blaise prepared to sing.

Epilogue
A year after Hermione and Blaise married they welcomed their little baby boy Roger Blaise Zabini to the family. He had of course been named after Hermione's father, as was tradition for the males in the Granger family, and Blaise had been surprised when Hermione had mentioned that she wanted their little boy to be named after him too.
And so together their little mismatched family began their journey, together and Hermione found herself completely content with life, something she had never thought possible while she was with Ron.
