Chapter Three

Today was my 18th birthday. I could legally perform any spells and apparate wherever. I wasn’t supposed to know how to apparate yet but my father taught me and some of my friends.
I ran to my closet and picked out an all black dress. The bustier wasn’t really a corset but it looked like one. It had spaghetti straps and black ribbons everywhere on it. When you looked at the back of the dress, the spaghetti straps went sort of halter-like but continued on to connect to the corset looking part. The straps then connected by a ribbon that crisscrossed over each other and tied in a bow at the end.
I slipped the dress on and picked out some plain, black, pump heels. Walking into my bathroom, I opened my make up drawer and found some lip gloss that was blood red and had black lines in it. I pulled out some red eyeliner, black eyeliner, black eyelash stuff, and some black and gray eye shadow. After applying all my makeup, I put on a simple necklace that had a black bat on it.
Not knowing what to do with my hair, I just brushed it flat and let it hang. I took a step back and admired my work. That’s when I noticed that I had made a mess on the counter. Sighing, I knelt down to get the cleaner but then paused. I could do magic now!
I ran into my bedroom and grabbed my purse. I retrieved my new wand. I pointed it at the counter.
“Scourgify!” I said. The mess began to disappear and everything went back into its place. I waited for someone to come running up to my room, smack my hand, and wag their finger at me. No one did.
Smiling, I exited my room and walked downstairs. It was apparently eleven in the morning.
“Morning!” It was my cousin, Willow.
“Willow!” I squeaked. “Oh my god, I haven’t seen you in forever!” We ran to each other and hugged.
“I know! I’ve missed you so much!” She said, into my shoulder.
“I see you two have found each other.” My father said from behind me. Willow let go and I ran to my dad.
“Good morning, father.” I said, giving him a hug.
“Happy birthday, my daughter.” He gave me a kiss on my forehead.
“Is this what happens every morning?” Lucius Malfoy remarked. He and Draco were standing behind my father. They both had smirks plastered on their face.
“Good morning, Mr. Malfoy.” I smirked in return. “And good morning, Draco.”
Draco raised an eyebrow and his father looked at him suspiciously.
Willow’s hand went to my shoulder.
“Come on,” She said, and motioned upstairs. “I want to hear about everything since I’ve been gone.”
I smiled and we both walked upstairs.
As we reached my room, Draco ran up the stairs and pushed open the door just before I could shut it.
“Move,” He said, shoving me aside and shutting and locking the door. “Sit on the bed.”
Willow and I were both shocked and confused, so we did as we were told.
Draco paced in front of us. He would occasionally stop and look at me, then shake his head and continue to pace.
“What is it, Draco?” I asked, sheepishly. He stopped pacing and knelt down in front of me, taking my hands. I pulled back a little, but his hold was firm. I glanced at Willow, who shrugged.
“I need a favor from you, Analyn.” He stammered.
“Uh, okay…” I answered. I wondered what he wanted.
“I know you’re going to tell her what we did, but please,” He swallowed. “Don’t tell anyone else.”
I raised an eyebrow. Willow was at full attention, her eyes wide.
“Why not?” I asked him.
“Just because, if it gets back to my father you have no idea what he’ll do.” He squeezed my hands, pleading.
“What about Abigail and Ava Lee?” I asked. “They’re my best friends. How do I keep a secret like that away from them?”
Draco rolled his eyes. “Women,” He muttered. “Fine, just make sure they don’t tell anyone else.”
“Why is this so important, Draco. What could your father possibly do?” I smiled.
“Just don’t worry about it, ok?” He ordered. I nodded and he let go of my hands and walked out of my room.
Willow sat there for a minute and stared at me.
“What?” I asked, and stood up to fix my hair, though it really didn’t need it.
“What the hell?” She blurted, also standing up.
“I don’t really know. I’m almost as confused as you are.”
“Yeah, fix that.” She simply said, stopping me from messing with my hair.
We sat on the bed and just as I was about to begin there was a knock at my door.
I closed my mouth and sighed. Opening the door, I found Ava Lee and Abigail standing there. We all exchanged hugs and said our “hello’s” and told each other what we did over the summer.
“Hey, wait!” Willow interrupted. “What was Draco talking about? I want to know!!” She exclaimed.
Abigail’s attention immediately went to the conversation. Ava Lee kind of shrugged it off and went to messing around with stuff on my dresser, though I could tell that she was still interested.
Sighing, I sat on the bed. Abigail and Ava Lee sat on the couch. Willow sat beside me.
“Alright,” I began. “Listen up because I’m not saying this again. First things first. Draco and I got into it at Diagon Alley the other day. We made out in an alley and got pretty close to having sex right then and there. I wanted it to stop. I didn’t want to do anything, you know?” The girls sat there, focused. They nodded. “Well, I accidentally said that there might be another time. He heard that and bugged me about it for the rest of the day. Then, later that day, I think, we ended up doing it.”
“No way!” Abigail cried, astonished. I nodded, then continued.
“Then, when Draco left, Ian and I hung out. We ended up doing it, too.”
“You little slut!” Ava Lee joked.
“Well, here’s the thing.” I started. “They are apparently both in love with me. They’re also very good at seducing…”
“What are you going to do?” Willow asked. I shrugged.
“I don’t know. Neither know that I had sex with the other, though. So let’s not say anything.” I informed them.
“Didn’t Draco ask you to tell us not to say anything anyway?” Willow pressed. I nodded and Abigail looked disappointed.
“What happens if we do?” Abigail asked, her eyes showing evil.
“Well, Draco is terrified that the information would get back to his father for some reason.” I responded.
Abigail and Ava Lee looked very confused and began to think about it.
“Maybe he’s scared that Lucius would arrange a marriage?” Ava Lee questioned.
I shook my head.
“If he’s in love with me, then why would that matter?” I answered. They all nodded in agreement.
“Perhaps he’s afraid that his father would tell Voldemort?” Abigail said, putting her thoughts in.
I shook my head, again.
“What would Voldemort do? Why would he care?” I replied. They all nodded again.
There was a knock at the door.
“Come in,” I called. Ian opened the door. We must have looked as though something serious was going on because he paused.
“Uh, I can stop by later?” He shyly said.
“No, no,” I waved my hand. “That’s fine. You can come in.” I smiled at him. He gave a smile in return and shut the door.
We all stared awkwardly at him, waiting for him to say something. We obviously couldn’t continue our conversation.
Ian put his hands in his pockets and looked around.
“Oh, happy birthday, Analyn.” He said, walking over and giving me a hug. I hugged him back and thanked him.
All of the girls were smiling at us.
“Is something wrong, Ian?” I asked him.
“Can I talk to you,” He asked, then looked at the three girls. “Alone?” He added. I nodded and Willow, Abigail and Ava Lee all went downstairs.
Ian locked the door. I stared at him as he sat down on the bed next to me.
He sighed and gave me a hug. I hugged him back.
“What’s up, Ian? Is everything alright?” I asked, curious and worried.
He nodded and kissed me. His arms went around my waist and we went down. Ian was on top of me and the kisses were getting hotter. I honestly didn’t want to stop but everyone was downstairs waiting on us. If we took too long, they’d know something was up. Draco would most likely notice.
“Ian,” I interrupted. He stopped and looked at me. “We can’t. Not now.”
“I know, but I needed to feel you.” He whispered, and began kissing me again.
“Ian,” I said, again. He stopped and put his head on my chest. I pet his head. “Come on, we’ve got to go downstairs.” I felt him nod and he slowly got up.
I went to the mirror and fixed my hair.
“You look beautiful, Analyn.” He commented, smiling.
“Thanks, Ian. That means a lot.” I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. He gladly accepted and held me around my waist.
The kisses started to get hot again. We both pulled away suddenly.
“We need to get downstairs.” He said. I nodded and put on some lip gloss. We then went to the door and walked down the staircase together pretending to laugh about something so we weren’t suspicious. Draco was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs.
The two boys nodded a “hello” to each other and then Draco took my hand.
“I want to talk to you.” He guided me to the courtyard. It was a pretty private place. The only way you can see what was going on in it, was to actually be in it. The door to it had no window and there were no windows looking into it. The place itself was pretty ugly. No one liked to take care of it.
“What’s--” I started, but his lips crashed onto mine. Ian may have been better at sex, but I could kiss Draco forever.
We held each other and kissed for what seemed like hours but was really only five or six minutes.
“I’ve missed you,” He breathed.
I smiled. “I’ve missed you, too.”
He let go of me and I walked to a stone bench. Sitting down, I looked at him. Draco began to walk towards me but Lucius entered the courtyard.
“You two,” He started. “Come into the house. We’re about to serve lunch.”
We both looked at each other and then obeyed.
I couldn’t help thinking how lucky we were that Lucius hadn’t walked in a couple seconds earlier. It would have been worse if it were Ian, however.
Pulling up my dress so it wouldn’t rip as I walked, I entered the dining room. Everyone was seated at the table, talking loudly. Food was everywhere. There were meats, vegetables, starches, fruits. Any type of food you can think of was there. I just now realized that I was starving.
Looking around for a seat, I saw that there was one next to Lucius(who just sat down) and one in between Ian and Abigail. I took that one and let Draco sit beside his father.
“What happened out there?” Abigail whispered. I rolled my eyes and helped myself to some food, filling my plate completely.
I didn’t want to say anything to her. Ian could have been listening.
“Is that the Dark Mark on your arm?!?!” Abigail said in alarm. Everyone fell silent.
Leave it to her to create drama.
“Yea,” I nodded. “What of it?” Her eyes showed confusion. I looked at her practically begging her to hush.
“Uh, w-when do I get mine?” She came up with. I shrugged.
“Maybe its not your time yet.” People started to talk again as if nothing happened.
“I didn’t want this right now, I want you to know that.” I whispered. She nodded, looking worried. “Draco and Ian were just inducted, too. It seems as though they knew about it before I did.” I shoved a spoonful of mashed potatoes in my mouth.
“What do you mean? When did you find out you were being---- um..” She seemed nervous to talk about it. She always was on this subject. I think it scared her. I don’t know why it did. Her parents were Death Eaters as well.
“Well, let’s just say, someone showed up in my room and took me to Voldemort.” I went back for seconds as Abigail watched me intently.
“Does this whole thing not bother you at all?” She whispered.
“I mean, I knew it was going to happen one day.” I answered honestly. “I just didn’t know it’d be this soon. I also talked to Voldemort and basically convinced him that I wasn’t ready for this and I’m trying to finish Hogwarts with Outstanding grades.”
“Did he buy it?” She asked.
I looked at her strangely then began eating again.
“What do you mean? I was being serious. Do you know how much pressure my father is putting me under? I have to be the greatest witch of all time.” I cut into my steak. Just before I ate it, I looked around the table. Someone passed me barbeque sauce. We went to America before and I tried their steak with barbeque. It was amazing and now I put that sauce on almost everything. My mother has even promised to send me some while I’m at Hogwarts.
“What’s he going to do if you don’t succeed? Ground you?” She giggled. I gave her a look.
“He is determined to make me the greatest witch. There’s no way I can’t be. I know more spells than anyone already. Now all I have to do is practice and all that.”
I finished eating and was completely stuffed. I sat there being polite. I had to be excused if I wanted to leave the table. I hated that.
I placed my hands in my lap and sat up straight. Normally my mother would excuse me if I was polite.
My mom was a very pretty woman. She was curvy(which is where I get it from). She was a natural redhead but liked to dye her hair blonde. It annoyed me. I thought being a redhead was special. There weren’t many of us around. It was rare and different. I liked to be different. I didn’t want to blend in with the crowd.
“Analyn you didn’t have to get all dressed up.” My mother interrupted my thoughts. “Why don’t you go upstairs and put on something more comfortable.” I nodded and pushed out my chair. I began to walk upstairs.
When I entered my room I immediately took off the dress. I liked dresses, but I hated wearing them for hours. I was in my closet looking around for something suitable to wear. Comfortable, yet still formal. I had plenty of skirts but I didn’t really want to wear one today.
I found a pair of pinstripe pants and a matching jacket. I pulled out a plain, white blouse and brought the whole outfit to my bed. I decided to continue wearing the heels. I practically lived on them anyway.
“How long have you been sitting there?” I asked Draco. He was sitting on my couch in the corner.
“Long enough.” He answered.
“How long is long enough?” I questioned. I slipped on the blouse and left the top three unbuttoned. It gave me a sexy look.
“To see you in your underwear.” He replied simply.
“The people downstairs know I am changing, so you came up here?” I argued.
“What’s wrong with that?” He said, walking over to me. I put on my pants and tucked in the blouse. “We can just say that you were already dressed.”
“In the whole minute it took you to get up here?” I ranted. Draco shrugged.
“I waited outside your door.” He exclaimed.
“What do you want, Draco?” I asked while putting on the jacket, I buttoned it only a little bit so you could still see my cleavage.
“My father wanted me to come up here.” He admitted.
“Why?” I slipped on the heels.
“I don’t know. He and your father left the room as I went up the stairs.” His voice dropped to a serious tone. “You didn’t say anything did you? Did your friends say anything?”
“No, now lets go before something bad happens.” I pushed him out the door and we both ran down the stairs. “Come on,” I started to walk hastily out the back door. I saw my father out near the pool.
Just before Draco and I went through the doors, I stopped. Draco ran into me.
“Harvey, I feel that its for the best!” Lucius said.
“Lucius, its not our decision!” My father replied.
I looked at Draco. It sounded like things were headed for the worst. If they weren’t there, already.
“I know that they’re already in some sort of relationship. What’s wrong with helping them along the path they are already trotting on?”
“You have to let me talk to my daughter first. Like I said, this is not my decision. Its not yours either. Talk to Draco. See what he wants. I’ll go get Analyn.” My father started walking towards the door. I started trying to push Draco aside to run for it but he seemed paralyzed.
“Draco will want this, Harvey.” My dad stopped and turned around.
“Draco, what are they talking about?” I whispered.
“Well, that’s wonderful. What about Analyn?” I’m glad my dad loved me so much.
“Just convince her.” Lucius fussed.
“They’re talking about an arranged marriage.” Draco said under his breath.
I ran. I went to my bedroom and locked the door. I collapsed onto my bed and began to cry. This couldn’t be happening to me. Not on my birthday especially. I couldn’t believe this. I hoped and prayed that my father refused. It couldn’t happen if he refused.
There was a knock at my door. I didn’t bother to answer. I didn’t want to talk to anyone at the moment. I just wanted to go to bed and not wake up. I just couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe it at all.
Whoever was behind my door, kept knocking. They were obviously not going away. I wiped the tears from my face and got up.
Abigail and Ava Lee stood in front of me when I opened the door. They gathered me in their arms and helped me sit down.
“What’s going on?” Ava Lee asked. She was concerned and I could tell that she was angry. Ava Lee was very gorgeous. She had fierce green eyes and beautiful wavy brown hair. She wore little makeup, unlike Abigail and me. She was beautiful naturally. Ava Lee was also very much a tomboy. She hung out with the guys a lot and played punch-you-punch-me with them often. She was strong and everyone knew it. I am pretty sure she’d try to beat the crap out of Lucius if I told her. However, I know they’d get it out of me eventually so why not tell them now?
“Analyn,” Abigail purred. “Please tell us what happened.”
I wiped a couple tears away and opened my mouth to speak, but all that came out was more sobs.
I inhaled multiple times to calm myself down and eventually became able to speak.
“Draco and I overheard my father and Lucius talking.” I managed to get out. The two girls nodded and urged me to continue. “Lucius was trying to convince my father to--to….” I began to sob again.
“Analyn!” Ava Lee cried, grabbing my shoulders and shutting me up. “Tell me what he wanted your father to do. Now.” She was very upset. I was one of her best friends and you don’t mess with her best friends.
“He wants Draco and I to have an arranged marriage!” I blurted and collapsed onto my bed in tears. Seconds later, my door opened then slammed shut. Ava Lee was gone. “Get her back, Abigail! I wasn’t supposed to know this! My father was on my side! Make her come back, Abigail! Make her come back!”
Abigail nodded and ran out the door. I kept crying into my blankets.
“Analyn?” Came a soft voice. It was Ian. He had apparently snuck in while Abigail was leaving. I sat up and looked at him. He brought me into his arms and held me. “What happened?”
I shook my head “no” and snuggled into him. He held me and pet my head, brushing my hair behind my ear.
“Please tell me what happened, honey. I’m here to help.” He pleaded.
“I can’t, Ian. I just can’t. You can’t help me with this. No one can.” I cried into his chest.
My father burst into the room.
“Ian,” He titled his head towards the door.
Ian nodded and let go of me.
“I can’t figure out what’s wrong. She just keeps crying, Mr. Crow.” He whispered to my father. My dad nodded and shut the door as soon as he left.
“Daddy, don’t make me do it. Please, don’t destroy my future!” I cried, grabbing his shirt. He nodded and took my hands.
“I want you to think about this. As I told Mr. Malfoy, this is not only my decision. I won’t do it if you don’t want it.” He wiped away a tear. “I want you to know something else.”
“What?” I sniffled.
“Mr. Sparrow wants you and Ian to have an arranged marriage as well.” He informed me.
My eyes went wide. Was everyone just out to get me all of a sudden?
“But dad--” He held a finger over my mouth.
“Just wait. I’ve got a couple ideas to help you out.” He said in a hushed tone.
Right after he said that, Lucius busted into my room. He had Draco by the arm. Mr. Sparrow and Ian were in the same position right behind him. They all looked angry.
“Harvey Crow. Pick. Now.” Lucius demanded, shoving Draco onto the ground in front of my father and me. Ian was also shoved down. The two boys looked pissed. They had obviously found out about what I did. I was in for a hellish ride.
“Do not say that its not your decision.” Mr. Sparrow spat. “That’s not what an arranged marriage is. Its your choice. Now pick.”
My dad looked at me and sighed. I begged him with my eyes to just say no.
“Analyn,” Lucius hissed. “Leave the room.”
“Its my room.” I roared. “You leave.”
Lucius looked at me like I was a toddler throwing a fit on the floor. His attention then went back to my dad.
“This will not be delayed. By the end of the day, you will have an answer.” Lucius then stormed out of my room. Ian’s father followed close behind.
My dad squeezed my hand and also left. As soon as the door shut, Ian and Draco started fighting.
“Don’t come near her, she’s mine!” Draco hollered.
“Don’t tell me what to do!” Ian retorted. They suddenly started throwing fists.
“STOP!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. Tears streamed down my face. I couldn’t take it anymore.
“You slept with him.” Draco snarled. His eyes were filled with evil.
“I slept with both of you.” I confessed. “You are both in love with me. I thought it would help me choose. I like you both, I really do. I just don’t know how much more I can take. I think that--”
“Who’s better?” Draco hissed.
“W-what?” I stammered.
“Who’s better?” Ian whispered, moving to stand beside Draco.
I knew who was better. Ian was. Draco, however, was the best kisser.
Draco grabbed my shoulders.
“WHO?” He urged me.
“Draco, please,” I was getting scared. He was very angry.
“Get off of her.” Ian growled.
They began fist-fighting again. I couldn’t stop them. So I decided to answer the question.
“Ian.” I simply said. They paused. “Ian was the best. However, Draco is the best kisser.”
“Well, the most important is the one in bed, right?” Draco asked. His face twisting in anger and evil.
“Not necessarily.” I answered. “You can get better at sex and you can get better at kissing. My decision is still undecided.”
“How do you like your sex? I’ll get better.” Draco suddenly pleaded, taking my hands into his.
“Draco,” I started.
“She likes it rough.” Ian smirked. “Oh, and the dick has to be big.”
“Oh really?” Draco started walking towards Ian. They were getting ready to fight again.
“Will you two cut it out?!?!” I squeaked, beginning to cry again. “This wasn’t supposed to happen like this.” I sat down on the bed and cried. They tried to comfort me. “No, I think its best if we just stop seeing each other for awhile.”
The boys eyes went wide. They immediately jumped up and started apologizing and trying to win me over.
“No,” I said, sniffling. “I’m serious. I’ll see you two at Hogwarts. I won’t talk to you if you try talking to me. When I’m ready, I’ll come to you.” The boys dropped their heads.
“Analyn, we’re sorry. It doesn’t have to be this way.” Ian whispered.
“Go. Both of you. Tell everyone that the party is over and they can all go home. I don’t want to talk to anyone. I won’t answer my door if they knock.”
They got up and left my room.
I sat down on my bed and put my head in my hands. Today was horrible. When I woke up, I thought it would be the best day of my life. All of my friends and family were going to be here and I would get presents and cake and everything birthday related. I was wrong.
My mother came in a few seconds later. She was followed by Abigail, Ava Lee, and Willow. They all had gifts in there hands.
“I guess I forgot to lock the door.” I grumbled.
“Look, darling,” My mom cooed. “We know this is hard for you. Just know that whatever your father decides, he decided it to benefit you.”
“Are you saying he’s made a decision?” My eyes went wide as she grabbed my attention.
“I don’t know, Analyn. He refuses to talk to me about the subject.” She sat down on the bed and handed me a random present. It was very small and was most likely jewelry.
I put it in my lap and sighed.
“Who is it from?” I asked, turning the present around.
My mother pointed at the label that was stuck to the paper. It was from Draco.
“But this looks like a jewelry box.” I whispered, more to myself than the audience.
Willow shrugged.
“Open it.” She urged, eager to see what was inside.
I ripped off the wrapping paper. The box had the logo of an expensive jeweler’s store, Zale’s. The muggles had a similar store but most of the jewelry in it was fake. The wizard Zale’s was real stuff.
I hesitated. I didn’t want to open the box. It was most likely a ring. I looked at the stack of presents next to my mother. There was another box sitting on top that was just as small.
“Who’s that one from?” I asked, pointing to the box. Abigail picked it up and looked at me. She bit her lower lip and handed it over. It was, as I assumed, from Ian. They both probably got me a ring.
I opened Draco’s package. It was a ring. A beautiful one at that. White Gold. 18K. The center diamond was in a heart shape. There were two smaller square diamonds on either side of the heart. Engraved on the inside was, “You’re my everything. Love, Draco”.
I sighed heavily and put the ring back in the box. That’s when I noticed a note taped to the top of the box in the inside. I opened it slowly. It read:
Analyn,
You may have noticed that this is an engagement ring. I love you with all of my heart and am asking to take your hand in marriage. If you decline, I understand and will feel no pain if you keep the ring. Take your time. I know this is a serious question.
Love,
Draco
I sighed and put the note back in the box. I set it aside and picked up Ian’s gift. Ripping off the wrapping paper and opening the box, I discovered another beautiful ring. It was another engagement ring.
It was yellow gold and also 18K. The center diamond was round. There were tiny diamonds running halfway down both sides of the ring.
I looked for and found a note:
Analyn,
I know you’re not ready for this, but I can wait until you are. I really love you and wish to spend the rest of my life with you. Get back to me and let me know. I’m willing to talk to you about anything.
Ian
I stopped and wondered if the boys were put up to this. I didn’t know. I glanced at the stack of presents.
“Open mine.” Ava Lee blurted, trying to cheer me up. She handed me a big box. I smiled at her and tore off the paper. It was a huge magical stationary set. She knew I loved to write letters to everyone, whether I was in school or not.
“Thanks, Ava.” I smiled again, and hugged her.
“Me next!” Abigail rushed over, handing me her gift. I received a huge makeup kit. It had every color of everything you apply to your face.
“Thanks,” I hugged her.
Willow handed me her gift. It was a little small but pretty thick. There were two books inside. One was a bestselling book from her favorite author. The other was a journal.
“I know you keep things hidden. I got you a journal so you can let whatever you’re hiding out.” She said as we hugged.
“Thanks, cuz.” I smiled.
“Here, this is from Daegan and Karissa.” My mom said, handing me another present.
Karissa is my sister. She was a pale, freckled, tiny thing. She looked very innocent and she truly was. She had fallen in love a couple years back. The two were engaged until she became pregnant with my nephew, Orville. The guy didn’t want kids and despised them. Karissa loves kids and opted to keep Orville. They split up after that. It was a very depressing time for all of us. Karissa deserved a lot better. She has never done anybody wrong. She’s never even committed a crime! She was a beautiful girl who caught a bad fish.
Orville was born nine months later, very healthy. We help take care of him by letting the two stay here at the mansion with us. He’s very quiet and listens to what any of us tell him to do. Daegan likes to make him play pranks on the house elves. I like to read to him and play games with him. He’s a good kid. Poor thing.
The present was an invisibility cloak. I had wanted one since I’ve heard of them. My mother and father refused to let me have one.
“Oh, God.” My mother rolled her eyes. “Don’t let your father know you have that.” She smiled at me.
I nodded and immediately put it in my trunk for Hogwarts. Good thing I left room for my presents. I, of course, had another empty trunk. I had now had a few more things to pack.
The next present was from my parents. It was a jewelry box filled with new jewelry. I smiled, hugged, and thanked my mom.
My mother patted my knee, smiled, and nodded.
“We’ll leave you alone. I think you need time to cope.” She got up and opened the door. The girls followed my mother.
I sat there alone on my bed. I picked up Draco’s ring. I put it on my finger and held it up. It looked gorgeous. Sighing, I took it off and did the same with Ian’s ring. I put them both back in their boxes and began packing my last trunk. Tomorrow, I would leave for Hogwarts. I couldn’t wait.
Draco’s owl flew into my room and landed swiftly on the post on my bed. There was a letter tied to his leg. Rolling my eyes, I fed my curiosity.
Analyn,
I’m very sorry for the commotion earlier. Please forgive me. I’d like to talk to you.
Draco
I balled up the letter and put it on my back porch. I took out my wand and set the letter on fire. I watched as the ashes flew slowly and silently to the ground. As I stood there, a loud pop came from my room.
“Analyn?” Draco called from my room.
I stayed silent. I refused to talk to him. It angered me that he even thought I’d talk to him.
His arms came around my waist but I walked out of his hold. I finished packing everything away and put them with my other trunk.
“Please talk to me.” Draco pleaded.
I gave no response. I didn’t even shake my head.
When I turned around to go to my closet, Draco was right in front of me. I looked him directly in the eye and then attempted to keep walking to my destination. He picked me up and threw me on the bed.
“You will hear me out.” He said. I sat up and he pushed me back down.
“Fine, Draco. Talk. But keep in mind, I don’t care what you have to say.” I blurted out.
Draco’s face twisted in anger and he came at me. I pushed him off and onto the floor. When he stood up, I already had my wand pointed at him.
“What are you going to do? Curse me?” He asked with a smirk on his face. I nodded. He continued to smirk.
“Go home, Draco. I told you that I don’t care about what you have to say. Why would you waste your precious breath talking?” I hissed.
Draco moved quickly. He disarmed me and threw the wand across the room. His wand was now out and pointed directly at me.
“You wouldn’t do shit to me.” I growled.
“That’s what you think.” He retorted. “Now, lay back.”
I continued to sit erect. He would not control me.
He flicked his wand once and I found myself lying on my back. I tried my hardest to sit up and couldn’t. Cursed.
He mounted me, still holding his wand to my throat.
“Tell me you love me.” He whispered.
“Why would I say something that isn’t true, Draco? You wouldn’t want me to lie to you, would you?” I asked slyly.
“Say it.” He ordered through gritted teeth.
“I love you, Draco.” I was forced to say.
He closed his eyes and smiled.
“Okay, can you get off me now and go home?” I asked, annoyed.
He shot open his eyes and glared at me.
“Say it again.” He pointed his wand at me.
“I love you.” I heard myself say.
“Again!” The mad man called.
“I love you.” I said again.
“Now,” He began. “Kiss me.”
I fought with all of my might. I lost. It was just a little peck but it was too much at the moment.
“Happy?” I asked with a fake smile on my face. He climbed off of me and apparated somewhere. I took the chance and bolted out of my room.
