A/N: We have a winner! Yay! Now I'm simply awaiting their request or question, lol. And now that someone has won, you all get chapter three. This should be at least a slightly longer chapter then the first two, since it's a plot builder, but no promises! I hope you like it! Please rate and review this! I don't yet have confidence in my Snarry shipping abilities...and thank you so much, everyone who has already reviewed, I love reading them! - FallenAngel

Harry nervously took the letter from the somehow-threatening eagle owl sitting on the table before him. He opened it slowly, then took a deep breath and read it. His eyes widened and his face turned bright red. He folded the letter back up angrily.
'Why couldn't he have just made me lose at Quidditch?' He thought to himself. 'Hell, even a stroll through the Great Hall, starkers, during the Halloween Feast, would be better then this!'
"Harry?" Hermione's worried voice snapped him out of his thoughts. "Are you okay?"
Harry nodded. "Yah, Herm, I'm fine." He glanced down at the letter. "Just, um...didn't exactly like the...er...advice someone gave me. That's all."
Ron frowned at Harry. "What are you doing asking Malfoy for advice, anyway, mate? The git can't have anything constructive to say."
"I told you before, Ron." Harry said, smoothly repeating the lie he had fabricated to explain his recent need to talk to Malfoy. "It's something he knows more about then anyone in Gryffindor."
Hermione placed a hand on Harry's arm and nodded in an understanding way. "Just be careful, alright? Are you going to take his advice?"
"I am." Stuffing the letter into his pocket, he stood to leave. "And try not to worry about me, Herm. You either, Ron." He added with a glance at the red-head. "I'll explain it all after the Halloween Feast on Thursday."
With one last smile and a wave to the rest of the Gryffindors still eating breakfast, he headed out of the Great Hall and towards Muggle Studies. 'Damn Draco Malfoy to hell and back!' Harry thought darkly as he approached the blonde. 'And I really hate that smirk!'
"Potter." Draco grinned. "Judging by the look on your face, and the fact that you sought me out, I'd say that Artemis delivered my message."
The Gryffindor nodded sharply. "Yes. And let me just say that if I get more than twenty points deducted, or more than two weeks of detentions for this, I'll explain on the spot that it was just a dare." His vivid eyes narrowed in challenge.
For once, Draco didn't accept. "Of course, Potter. But if you don't get more then two weeks detention, or twenty points taken away, you can't tell anyone it was a dare until you have served all of your detentions." He held out his pale, slender hand for Harry to shake. "Do we have a deal?"
"Deal, Malfoy." Harry's long, tan fingers clasped Draco's hand firmly. "After all, it's not as though things can get any worse then they already are."

'Murphy's Law.' Harry thought darkly that Thursday as he watched his friends enjoy the delicious dinner set before them. 'If something bad can happen, it will. Mental note to self,' His inner-voice added. 'Listen to Hermione more often.'
"It's now or never." The Gryffindor muttered under his breath, gathering his courage as he saw Malfoy nod at him. "All hell is about to break loose."
The dark-haired boy rose and slowly started the seemingly endless walk up to the Head Table. His friends frowned at him and slowly the others, not only at his house table, but at all the tables, stop talking to watch his progress. He stopped in front of Dumbledore, mostly to gather his courage and give himself a mental pep-talk about how he could do it.
"Can I help you with something, Harry?" The Headmaster asked him, his eyes twinkling and his voice insufferably cheerful.
Harry shook his head and said softly. "No, Professor. I just need to speak with one of the teachers."
Saying nothing else, he turned and walked until he was standing across the table from Snape, who growled. "Can this not wait until later, Mr. Potter?"
Now Harry took a deep breath and said, in a voice that carried to everyone in the Great Hall. "I've been trying to wait for the right time to say something to you." He paused, then said to himself, 'In for a dime, in for a dollar...' and continued. "I just can't wait until I graduate to tell you, though. I can't wait for even one more minute."
Now his professor looked more confused then irritated, and he asked sharply. "What are you babbling about now, Mr. Potter?"
Harry smiled weakly, his cheeks burning with utter mortification as he said. "Professor Snape, that is, Severus..." There were several gasps from behind him and even Dumbledore looked at him in disapproval. "I find that I am in a rather upsetting predicament. You see, I have recently realized that what I had thought were just passing feelings are something more."
When Snape opened his mouth to interrupt, Harry said, rather louder then he had intended. "I think I am in love with you."
Snape's mouth fell open and Harry turned even redder. He could feel everyone staring at him and, feeling uncomfortable, continued a bit nervously. "I know I shouldn't have said anything, but I just couldn't help it. I couldn't keep it inside a minute longer. Watching you from my seat...it was just too much. I..."
"Silence!" Harry froze, having never heard his Potion's Master yell before. "I don't know why on Earth you thought this might be funny, but..."
Harry glared and broke in, managing to sound both angry and hurt. "Funny? Funny I come up here to tell you how I feel, I pour my heart out...and you tell me I find it funny? In case you hadn't noticed, I'm not exactly laughing! I'm confessing my love, and..."
"Be quiet!" The professor snapped angrily. "Fine, then, Mr. Potter. We will assume you are serious then. For disrupting dinner, disrespecting me by using my first name, causing an unnecessary scene, and confessing your undying love to a teacher, I'm taking twenty points from Gryffindor and assigning you two weeks worth of detentions, to be served with me. We will discuss your actions then. Be at my office at 8 o'clock tomorrow night."
'Damn! So now I can't tell my friends it was just a dare for two whole weeks...' As he nodded at Snape and muttered. "And I never said it was 'undying' love." When obsidian eyes flashed angrily at him, he practically ran back to his seat.
Sinking into his chair between Ron and Hermione he sighed, wondering if it could have been worse. 'Yah,' Piped up his inner-voice. 'He could have said he loves you, too!' As he shuddered and pushed that thought away, he realized that the Gryffindors were all staring at him.
"What?" He asked with a sigh. "Watching me get my heart broken wasn't enough for you? Now you have to make me feel worse by staring?" When everyone looked away and went back to eating, Harry sighed again, wondering what Snape would say to him the next day in detention.

A/N: Okay, the end of this chapter was a little abrupt. Sorry about that, I just wanted it to end. Chapter Four will be...interesting, to say the least. In case anyone is lost, the first part of the chapter is the Monday after the Friday of the last chapter. The second part of the chapter is the Thursday following the Monday of the first part of the chapter. Did that help, or make it worse? lol ^.^ Um...please, please, please rate and review! Thanks so much! - FallenAngel
