Phoenix could almost see the castle from her spot in the middle of the gaggle of First years. She was nearly bouncing with excitement at finally being at Hogwarts, along with almost all of her group. The moon was shining bright in the sky, and reflecting off of the lake, and that’s when they saw it. Hogwarts. Standing out against the vast, inky sky, with turrets and towers forming odd shapes in the darkness.
Phoenix gasped in awe and stared, wide-eyed at the school. She had never seen anything so breathtaking in her eleven years. But here it was. Hogwarts. And it already felt like home.
