Running Scared Part 2

There are times in our lives where we must question our own destiny. This is one of the times.

Draco frowned as he slipped out the huge house and into the town center. People stared at him left and right; no one seemed to pay attention to him, which seemed to be a good thing.

Seamus stood in the middle of the town square with a huge notebook in his hands. He knew that scores of wizards were there, all making their way to Dumbledore's funeral. Sean nodded, giving the "all-clear" signal to proceed with his plan.

At the same time, Old Ezekiel Bloor was lost; he had been with his grandson Harold and great-grandson Manfred Bloor and they were currently nowhere to be found. But all was not lost for him; he would soon become part of another young boy's life...

Just then, Seamus yelled out, "Attention all wizards: you have all been tricked, cheated, and lied to!" Many people gasped in horror. "I have proof that Albus Dumbledore has not been the wizard that you thought he was!" At the same time, Sean passed out booklets that detailed the crimes that Albus Dumbledore had committed during his lifetime. Seamus continued, "And many of you think that my son-in-law has murdered that man out of wickedness, but I am only upset with him because it wasn't me who killed him. As you can see, Albus Dumbledore has ruined my life and destroyed my family..."

And as Seamus was speaking, Draco saw fit to wander through the place; the people were so entranced by Seamus's accusations that they failed to noticed a dark-haired boy pushing his way through the crowd. But Draco would soon get in trouble and be forced to run away the moment he saw an old man reach out and snatch him.

"And where do ou think you are going to, little boy?" Ezekiel laughed.

"Uh, nowhere?" Draco guessed.

"And since you are going nowhere, you can come with me," said Ezekiel. "I have lost my grandson and my great-grandson and I cann ot find them."

"Tough break, old man," Draco snapped. "I have more important things to do than to deal with freaks like you."

Ezekiel looked at Draco and started laughing. "You are a weird little boy! What is your name?"

Draco frowned. He knew there was no way he was giving out his real name; it would give away too many things. "Drake," he hesitated.

"And what be your last name, Drake?" Ezekiel laughed.

Draco paused again, knowing that it was a bad idea to give out the name Malfoy; someone would know something was up. "Black," he said without thinking.

"Drake Black," said Ezekiel. "I like the sound of that. My name is Ezekiel Bloor. Do not make fun of me, I am stronger than I look!"

"Why are you in a wheelchair?" Draco snapped.

"I cannot walk," said Ezekiel. "I am 104 years old! I am a very old man!"

"Yet Dumbledore was 150 years old," Draco snapped. "But no more. He's dead."

Ezekiel laughed. "Who? Him? Hahahahahahahaha!" Draco frowned. "From what I heard, he was nothing more than a troublemaker!"

"I heard," Draco snapped.

"And then he did bad things and killed people," said Ezekiel. "Someone should get rid of him and make him stop his troublemaking!"

"He's dead," Draco said.

"You can kill a man, but not his deeds," said Ezekiel. "His wicked deeds will haunt the world forever. Anyway, we go to London."

"Why London?" Draco asked.

"London?" Ezekiel laughed. "I want to see that city before I die! We go now!"

"Why now?" Draco cried out.

"Why not?" Ezekiel cried out.

Draco was about to protest when a small girl said, "Hey, aren't you the kid who tried to kill the headmaster who's evil?"

He knew he had to take his chances with the crazy old man. "All right," he said. "I'm in."
