How could this Happen?

“Lily it’s not a date. He just wants me to get out the house. He said he doesn’t care who I leave with as long as I arrive with him.” I said annoyed as the red head rifled through my closet before pulling out the short powder blue dress Ginny had given me a few months before. “This will make his pass out.” She said examining the soft fabric. “Lily I’ve never even wore that I doubt it will fit.” I said. “TRY IT ON!” Lily cried. I took the dress from her hands and walked into the bathroom. I quickly undressed and pulled the dress on watching as it fell just above my knee’s and clung to my body like a second skin. It hugged my curves the color was beautiful. I walked back out and watched as Lily smiled. “That dress if gorgeous. Mione you are wearing that. Do you have shoe’s to match. I pointed to a box. Lily opened it and pulled out the matching heels Ginny had given me.

I slipped on the heels and applied the gray eye shadow Lily had pointed out along with the black eyeliner. I applied a pink tinted lip gloss. “Lily, Hermione are you two done yet?” James called up the stairs. “Yes honey.” Lily called back. Lily stepped out of the bathroom wearing a green dress that hugged her curves before flaring out slightly and ending above her knees like mine. Her makeup was done perfectly, we walked down the stairs. Sirius, James , Ginny and Harry waiting at the bottom. Sirius’s eyes landed on me. “Looking good Mione.” Ginny said happily. Sirius didn’t say anything. But took my arm and we apparated away. We were at a magic club music blasting threw the speakers. Lily led James to the dance floor while I headed to the bar. “hi can I have a apple Martini please?” I asked the bartended her nodded and with a wave of his wand it landed in front of me. I smiled and took a sip. I turned around to see Sirius behind me.

“Why do you always wander off?” he asked looking at me his eyes running over my body once before meeting my eyes again. “I needed a drink.” I said softly. “What’s up with you lately Mione?” He asked ordering himself a fire whiskey. I shrugged, “Just tired a guess.” I lied easily. “Mione your trying to lie to a maurader. Come on now love. What’s really bothering you?” he asked. I smiled at him. I was about to say something when someone placed a hand on my shoulder causing me to turn. A man stood there in a pair of black jeans and a white button up shirt. “Hello, I was wondering if you would like to dance.” He said softly. I nodded taking his hand. I stayed on the dance floor the rest of the night leaving only when we were going for dinner. We went to a small resutarnt and got a booth in the back. Sirius looking at me a few times over the night.

When we flooed back home Sirius opened a bottle of wine and a bottle of fire whiskey. I watched as he downed another shot with James and Harry the three of them laughing loudly, while Ginny Lily and I watched with knowing looks. As the hours went on, Lily dragged James home while Ginny followed suit leaving Sirius and I alone in the library. Sirius lit a fire with his wand before taking another shot. Sirius turned his eyes meeting mine. “Have fun tonight Mione?” he asked. I nodded, “Yeah it was fun, Jason was a great dancer.” I said. Sirius nodded and looked into the fire. The shadows that occasionally crept up on him appearing. I walked over with my glass of wine and sat down next to him. “You know all night you’ve been asking me if I’m ok but it seems your not. What’s bothering you Sirius?” I asked. He looked at me and smiled. “Just thinking about everything Harry’s gone through and how he’s so happy now.” He said. “But why are you sad?” I asked. He looked at me. “Mione I’m the same age I was when I was sent to Azkaban and even though I have my life back the memories remain. I mean I look at Harry and James married and happy. I never wanted that until now.” He said. “Sirius you said it yourself you still have a chance to find that. You just choose not too by looking to women who are most likely more interested in having a one night stand then setteling down.” I said thinking about the women he had had a few nights ago. The screams still resonating through my ears. He shrugged, “Maybe Mione.” he said taking another shot. He motioned to me to have one. “no I’m fine with my wine.” I said taking another sip from my glass.

Sirius smiled at me a roguish smile that I was too familiar with. I took another sip from my glass watching him fill his glass again. “Sirius how many of those have you had?” I asked. He shrugged, “I’m not sure, I lost count after eight.” He said his words slurring slightly. “Ok you’ve had enough.” I said putting the whiskey and shot glass’s away. I helped him up, he stumbled almost taking me down with him. I helped him upstairs to his room and sat him down on his bed. I turned to walk to my room when he grabbed my wrist. “Mione?” He asked meeting my eyes. “thanks.” He said. I smiled. “Sirius don’t worry.” I said softly. In one quick motion Sirius pulled my wrist spinning me around. He was standing his eyes on me. My hands on his chest to steady myself. Before I could say anything his lips were on mine. The taste of fire whiskey filling my senses. His tongue expertly parting my lips and deepening the kiss. His arms around my waist pulling me to him. My hands wrapping around his neck.

“Sirius.” I whispered as we broke apart. He kissed me again his hands lifting my shirt slightly. I moaned against his mouth, before I knew it I was against the wall. His arms on each side of my body be pulled away and looked at me. His eyes seeming to refocus. He looked at me before smiling. “Night Mione.” He said softly before collapsing on his bed. I stood there dumbstruck before walking downstairs.

I flooed to Lily’s finding her making a sobering potion for James. She turned to see me, “Mione what’s wrong?” she asked. I explained to Lily what had happened watched her cheeks get red. “Hermione why don’t you just confront him having these drunk rendezvous with him isn’t helping at all. He can’t keep doing that to you.” she said softly handing me a glass of brandy. “I know Mione but he caught me so off guard and he just completely overtakes me. He had me against the wall.” I said softly.

I laid my head on the table. “Why don’t you stay in the guest room tonight.” She said. I nodded, “There are some night clothes in the top drawer everything you need don’t worry.” She said I nodded and kissed her cheek before walking upstairs. I don’t know what time it was when I fell asleep but the next morning I woke up hearing voices from downstairs. I walked into the kitchen to find Lily, Ginny and Remus at the kitchen table each with a cup of coffee. “Morning.” I said sitting down. “Hey.” Ginny said smiling. “I know that look.” I said smiling Ginny blushed. “Yeah well I wish I was glowing like Lily hear.” she said softly. Lily and I cast her a look she looked away, “Ok that’s my cue to leave.” Remus said softly. He kissed my cheek goodbye before walking out.

“Is harry not satisfying you?” Lily asked. “It’s not that, it’s just I mean there’s something missing.” She said. “Like what?” I asked confused. “I mean Harry’s not the only guy I’ve been with, I mean he was my first but after we broke up I was with a few other guys and there was Cho.” She said causing Lily to choke on her coffee. “Cho Chang?” she asked. Ginny nodded, “We were drunk and it happened.” Ginny said. Lily and I looked at each other. “How was it?” Lily asked. “It was good actually.” she said smiling. “Well I don’t judge that’s more action than I’ve had in awhile.” I said grudgingly. “Lily told me.” Ginny said. I nodded not caring.

“I don’t know what to do honestly.” I said softly. “Well here’s an idea go out and get shagged good and thoroughly.” Ginny said making me smile. “Gin I don’t have guys lined up at the door.” I said. She shrugged, “But you could Mione.” She said. I shrugged. “I’ll come over later and help you get dressed up we’ll go to a club.” She said I nodded and smiled.

That afternoon Ginny showed up Makeup and suitcase in hand. “Ginny Merlin that’s alo of stuff.” I said shocked. She spent the next four hours working on me. When she was done she smiled. “you look gorgeous.” She said. I smiled “Thanks Gin.” I said standing up. “Anytime.” She said hugging me. She pulled away and before I knew it we were locked in a heated kiss. Her hands in my hair and my hands pulling her closer to me.
