Dangerous Liasions

Severus was pacing his sitting room holding a glass of green label; it had been three weeks since the attack on the Granger household. The Dark Lord had been pleased with the attack on the Grangers, and had given Severus the task of brining Hermione to the dark side.
He sat down in his favorite chair and stared into the fire. In two days she would return to Hogwarts, she would hate him for killing her parents. Now she had another reason to despise him; because of the Dark Lords order to convert her. How the hell was he going to do that, she most likely wouldn’t want to be in the same room as him let alone talk to him. He poured himself another glass of scotch and resumed staring into the dancing flames of the fire, thinking about the upcoming days, the war, his future and how he could regain Hermione’s trust.

Remus woke with a thrashing and crying Hermione in the bed next to him. Looking around he noticed that Harry and Ginny had already left for breakfast. He gently woke Hermione; scooping her into his arms he rocked her back and forth like a child. Quietly reassuring her everything would be better whilst she cried.
Not long later Remus heard raised voices and a plate breaking downstairs; he looked down at Hermione “pack your things love, we’re leaving this place.” Silently nodding Hermione got up and began to get ready to leave as Remus headed downstairs and into the kitchen where he saw Harry yelling at Ron.
“Just because she won’t go out with you Ron it doesn’t mean she doesn’t love you as a friend.
Ginny joined in on the argument as well, “Look at what has happened to her recently Ron, You’re adding to the stress by starting rumors that she is shagging Remus. He is helping her for god’s sake, he cares for her as a father just like he does for harry. Think about it Ron”.
Ron shuffled on his feet and stared at the tiled floor “ I didn’t think of it like that, I just saw them sleeping in the same bed and jumped too a conclusion. Mum agreed with me”. Harry glared at Ron and opened his mouth to say something when he was cut off by Remus. “ That’s right Ron you didn’t think and by implying that I am sleeping with Hermione, you have made me look like a perverted man that gets off on taking advantage of a young vulnerable women”.

Giving Ron time to think Remus turned to Harry and Ginny “you two go upstairs and pack your things, we are leaving this place for the next couple of days until school starts”. Both nodded and glared at Ron, if looks could kill he would be on the floor dead by now. Ron watched them leave the kitchen, then turned to Remus. “She was your friend Ron, you pushed her away. You lied to your family and your friends about her. Im not surprised she snapped at you and Molly, it would have driven me crazy as well. Remus saw the hurt in Ron’s eyes, “then you turned on harry because he wanted to help her. Like your sister said Ron think about your actions. Now Harry, Hermione and Ginny are going to stay with me until its time to go back to Hogwarts, enjoy the remainder of your holidays Ron.” Remus left leaving Ron alone with his thoughts in the kitchen.

Harry, Hermione and Ginny sat in their room listening to the radio, whilst waiting for Remus to return. “Serves him right, muttered Ginny. She looked up at Hermione “you know he was telling people you were shagging Remus? Hermione looked at her and nodded then returned to staring out the window.
Remus came through the door minutes later; “Come on, let’s go quickly before the cavalry returns. We shall be staying at my little flat in White chapel until you have to return to Hogwarts.
“Sounds great Remus, please lets go before my mother gets back” Ginny said. Everyone grinned as they shrunk their trunks stuffed them into their pockets and walked down the stairs and out of the front door of Grimmuld Place and into muggle London.
