Chapter 3- The Keep and Plans for the Future


The Keep wasn't what either Harry or Hermione expected. They had pictured some kind of manor, but instead they got a real castle. As they toured the Keep, they found it had dungeons, potion labs, a lake, defense towers, stables, a dueling ring, and a green house on the roof. They knew this would be the prefect place to not only get ready to fight Voldemort, but if it came to it Dumbledore himself would find it near impossible to lay siege to it. They realized very quickly that they would need an army of their own. It wasn't until they reached the library that they stopped to talk about what they needed.

"We are going to need some help facing Voldemort and maybe even Dumbledore. What do you think we will need to get this castle up and running Mione?" asked Harry knowing his beloved Hermione would the best one to plan it out.

"We will need a potion master that is for sure, and someone that is good at Herbology. We will need some to train our troops. We need a spy each for Dumbledore, the Ministry, and Voldemort. We also need a source of supplies and defensive items. Anything else, we can come up with later, but that is the top of the list." Decided Hermione. It was true when it came down to it she was the one with all the good ideas. In the Trio, Harry was the powerful one, Hermione was the smart one, and neither of them was actually sure what Ron was good at.

"Mione, with that decided, I think its time to decide what to do with Ron and Ginny. We both know they think we belong to them. Ron has always been a git to you and I don't mind losing him as a friend and you know when we come out and tell people that we are together he and Ginny will no longer talk to us. Dumbledore, on the other hand, is going to do everything he can to continue to control me. Do you think we can enlist Bill, Fred, and George to help us? That would leave a potion master, a trainer, stable hand, and a herbologist left for us to find. The hard part would be doing it without the rest of the family finding out. I know we could use Lupin and Tonks on our side. Is there anyone else you think we could use?" Harry said wondering just how they were going to pull this off.

"I think that is a great idea. I think Neville would be a good choice for the herbologist. I think a goblin would be good for a stable master. Bill would be great for one of the two trainers. I know you don't like him, but if we could get Draco on our side, we would have a valuable spy and I think his mother was good with potions. We will so want a squib with military experience to train us on hand to hand combat." Said Hermione.

"We might as well get Lupin's talk over and recruit him while we are at it. I will send Dobby to go get him." Harry told Hermione. "Dobby" Dobby appears with a pop. "I need you to go get Remus Lupin for me. Tell him it is so we can have his little talk." Dobby disappeared and reappeared about 30 minutes later with both Lupin and Tonks "So what did you want to talk to me about?"

Lupin could tell something was wrong. Harry seemed a little more on edge then normal. He wondered what could be wrong with Harry. Lupin was the one that was suppose to be nervous not the Lord of the Black Family. But he wasn't going to waste this chance since he didn't know the next time he would be able to talk to Harry.

"Harry, I want to marry Tonks here and I need your permission since you are the head of her family." Explained Lupin. He was a little unnerved that Harry seemed to be sizing up Tonks and himself. He saw the three letters in Harry's hand and wondered why he was holding on to them. Finally after a couple of minutes Harry broke the silence.

"As long as Tonks wants you, you have my blessing. I have something I want to talk to you about anyway so I am glad you both came. I want both of you to swear not to tell anyone about what I am going to show you and tell you." Harry told them. When they gave their Wizard's Oath, he handed them the letters he received back on his birthday. He was happy about the look of rage on both Lupin's and Tonks's faces. "I seem to be in need of an army. I was hoping to enlist you as a spy on the order Lupin. Your soon to be bride, Tonks, I was hoping to have her spy on the Ministry. I don't seem to have many I can trust anymore. Can I count on the both of you?"

Lupin and Tonks agree after Harry and Hermione explained that the army could be considered a treat by those in the Ministry. Harry was always a prime target of the Ministry since he refused to be their poster boy. Harry informed them if they ever needed to talk to Hermione or himself that they could call Winky or Dobby for now. Lupin and Tonks left quietly. Lupin wondering just how he was going to be a spy against a man he now hated, but he would do anything for his best friend’s son.

Harry was thinking about how he could get to talk to the others without anyone noticing something was up. His main problem was Draco and Narcissa Malfoy. It wasn't long until he thought of Moaning Myrtle. He could get her to pass messages back and forth to see what Draco thought of joining him. He spent an hour thinking just how to get everything done. Normally he would just charge in head first, but this time he would have use his smarts. He knew he was good about hiding just how smart he was. Dudley had seen to that. If Harry got good grades or said something over Dudley's head, Dudley and his gang would beat him up more then normal.

Harry thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the feeling of Hermione’s lips on his lips. He started kissing her back with all the love he had. He licked her bottom lip and without protest from Hermione she let him slip his tongue in her mouth. This wasn't new the five days he was at the Grangers, he spent most of the day Snogging with her. They broke the kiss to catch their breath. He didn't know why he did it, but he started kissing down her jaw. He moved from her jaw to kiss down her neck. Hermione left out a soft moan and didn't protest as Harry's hand found its way under her shirt. It wasn't long until she was letting him take off her shirt and bra. He trailed kisses down her body making sure every inch of her chest was kissed up and down. Hermione helped him take his shirt off while rubbing her breasts against his chest. They walked up to the master bedroom to find Hermione's stuff already there and fell asleep in each others arms. Hermione had never felt as safe as she did right then in Harry's arms. She couldn't believe it had happened the love of her life had just taken her virginity. She planned to make sure it wasn't the last time they made love.

Harry woke up at almost noon. As he tried to get up, he noticed there was a weight on his chest. He looked down to see Hermione there, and the events of the previous day flooded his mind. He had made love with Hermione and now he woke up to her beautiful body laying next to him. He swore that he would never again wake up without her by his side. He just laid there for her to wake up. He only had to wait a few minutes before her eyes opened. He watched as her eyes went up to his face, and watch her face change form confused to shocked to happy.

They got up and took their showers and headed down into dinning hall. The elves had already made them breakfast. They ate quietly. When they were done, they went to the library. Where it was Harry that spoke first.

"Mione, I could get used to waking up like that. I love you, but we need to get down to business of learning what we can out of the library and get in contact with Bill, Fred and George. I think we should plan a trip tomorrow to Diagon Ally." Said Harry picking up his book on the care of phoenixes.

"I love you too, Harry, and you are right we should go recruit the Twins and Bill tomorrow. I, however, want to just spend the day with you today." Hermione told Harry and kissed him on the lips. They spent the rest of the day talking about their plans for the Keep, and Snogging. They had found that the lake was to be there favorite spot as it had a tall tree that was perfect for shade. As soon as the Sun set, they went to their room getting into their night close and once again fell asleep in each others arms.

What will happen when Harry and Hermione try to recruit the Twins and Bill? What will the Goblins think when Harry and Hermione ask one of them to join their army? Why do Harry and Hermione take a trip down Knockturn Ally? What happened to Kretcher since Harry gave Lupin and Tonks the Black Manor and everything in it? Please review and tell me what you think.
