Chapter Three
Chapter Three
Hermione stirred at hearing an owl at her window. Sleepily she grabbed the owl treats, taking them over and made an exchange with the bird. She looked at the small box that held the Malfoy family seal on it. Opening it, she gasped at the sight of the small vial of liquid gold. It was a very valuable potions ingredient. It is melted using dragon fire and put into a stasis spell to remain liquid. This small vial, she figured it, was worth more than most had in their Gringott’s account.
She pulled out a small note at the bottom of the box. Unfolded it and read the short message, as she reclined on the bed.
You are worth more than gold. Meet me again tonight at seven at Malfoy Manor. Lucius.
Worrying her lower lip, she kept looking at the vial as well as the note. She set aside the gift and note, getting up and flooing over to Harry’s. She no sooner stepped out of the floo then she heard a woman giggling. Rolling her eyes she walked over and saw Harry tickling a woman with a light feather duster.
“Pardon me, Harry?” He looked over to her. “A moment of your time?”
“Okay,” he said, kissing the woman on her cheek. “I’ll be back in just a moment.”
When he walked over to where Hermione was waiting for him, she said, “When does it stop?”
“What?” he asked her. “If this is going to take longer than…”
“You know, I was coming over here to talk to you about my love life when it occurred to me that yours is more messed up than mine ever will be,” she interrupted him. “Harry, I am not even saying what you should or shouldn’t do, but let me ask you something. Is it worth losing the Weasleys? Because let me tell you the moment Ron finds out that you are fucking people behind his back, guess what? The entire family will know. And then you will have lost the only people that have ever come close to being a mother and a father to you.”
He blanched at her words, shaking as he stood there.
“I’m as far from being a saint as one can get when it comes to relationships, but the men I’m involved with know the score,” she told him. “So you better find out your priorities and do it quickly. Because let me tell you Ron may very well be an ass, but he deserves better than this.” She grabbed his hands, making him look at her. “As do you.”
Quickly she kissed his cheek, she walked away, and left.

Lucius stood looking out at his estate. Draco was in Greece. So he had the mansion to himself. But the last thing he wanted to be was alone. He didn’t know if she was coming over or not. She hadn’t bothered to floo or return a message with his owl. So it had left him there wondering.
Within seconds of wondering where she was, she was stumbling through the floo. Pulling herself off of the floor, she dusted herself off. Looking over to Lucius, she smiled.
“Hello, Lucius,” she said, going on her tiptoes and kissing his lips lightly. “I must apologize. Your owl caught me asleep this morning and I totally forgot to reply to you.”
“Apology accepted, imp,” he murmured, his fingers gliding over the dark gold silk of her dress. “You look stunning.”
“Thank you,” she replied. “But I have to say that you didn’t have to give me the gold.”
“Really? Are you going to keep it?” he asked her.
“No, that I am not,” she said, taking out the vial and slipping it into his hand. “But thank you. No one has ever gotten me such a thoughtful gift before.” She kissed his cheek, before nuzzling his neck. “I don’t want you to think I wanted you for all your money.”
“What do you want me for?”
“Currently?” she asked. “Dinner and a shag or two.”
He pocketed the gold. Hermione let out a scream of laughter as he scooped her up off her feet. “And so that is what you will receive.”

Lucius woke with a jolt at the feel of his bedmate lurching from the bed with a sob. Hermione crying, rocking as she hugged her legs to her chest. He sat up, pulling her into his lap, and began rubbing her back. Her arms went around him, holding on for dear life. After a few minutes her sobbing calmed as did her shaking. He combed his fingers through her hair, kissing her temple.
Her face pressed into his neck as she whispered hoarsely, “May I use your bathroom?”
“Yes, of course, imp,” he told her.
He felt her moving away from him and watched as she went straight over to the bathroom. A few minutes later he walked over to the doorway, watching her leaning against the wall as the water sprayed down. He saw her scars, the very same scars that his former sister-in-law had given to her in this house.
He slipped into the bathroom, going straight over to the shower. He caged her body with his own, leaning down and asking, “What’s wrong?”
She took a deep breath. “I don’t know where to start.”
He turned her around, making her look into his own gray eyes. “Start where ever you want.”
She caressed his face with her knuckles. “We thought everything would be good after the defeat of Vol…your dark lord,” she changed, making him smile. “We thought everything afterward would workout. I never expected perfect, but Harry…” She sighed heavily. “He thought everything would be perfect. And for a time it came close.” She turned around and turned off the shower. “But then he found out that Ginny was only interested in his money, the next woman he became involved with did so because he was the boy now man that lived. He went to a bar and ended up becoming sexually involved with a man. The wizard didn’t want anything from him but a hole and soon Harry learned that he was a ‘man with needs’ and began fucking anything that breathed.”
She stepped out of the shower, feeling Lucius wrap her in a thick Egyptian cotton towel. Hermione turned to look at him.
“I’m not judging him for this,” she said. “I’m no better than he is. But he began a relationship with Ron Weasley.” Hermione walked away a few steps. “I told him off. Me, without a leg to stand on, had the utter nerve to tell him off.” She took a deep breath, feeling the tears dripping down her face. “I had a nightmare that he didn’t want anything more to do with me.” She crumbled to the ground sobbing. “It would k-kill me if he cut me off!”
Lucius scooped her up, carrying her over to the bedroom. He yelled for one of the house elves. He told the little creature to get a calming draught. He fed it to her, cooing to her that Harry would never cut her off like she dreamt. Soon she was asleep again, holding tightly onto her lover.
When she woke up again, he murmured to go back to sleep. Hermione kissed him hungrily, slipping her leg over his hip behind her as she rubbed up against him. He pressed his erection into her slowly, making her shutter.
“Make me…forget,” she hissed.
“What?” he asked quietly.
“Everything,” she moaned.
