Yay more reviews! Thanks for the heads up about the knight bus thing. It was a typo. And yeah the change of the legal wizarding age is on purpose, i would of made it even younger than I did but I have plans regarding the whole Umbridge event. For all the peple who liked it YAY! And don't worry the Dursleys WILL be punished.
XXXHPDMXXX Chapter 3 XXXHPDMXXX
Gringotts towered in front of Harry, the building loomed shrouding the street in darkness, it seemed to reflect the warning written across the doors. Harry's finger traced once over the words before he quietly entered the building (I loved that waring, it upset me that J. K. never mentioned it after her first book). Only a few goblins had stayed until so late at night. Harry was a little nervous as he approached one such goblin brooding over a pile of gems.
"Er...," his voice shook, so he cleared his throat and began again. "Um.... excuse me?" He said, the days events were catching up to him, robbing him of his confidence. The goblin to which he had spoken looked up with a cruel glare that would have cowed a greater man, but Harry masked his fright and spoke again. "I need to speak to the Goblin in charge of my accounts..... Griphook I believe is his name."
"Did it occur to you.... Potter," he spat out the name as though it were a curse, "that Griphook may not be available at this time of night?"
Harry blinked, the thought had not occurred to him. He felt a tad more flustered. "He-he isn't? I'm sorry then...But I thought, well... er... I guess I'll just leave then......" He turned to face the door, wondering where he would stay until morning.
"I didn't say that he wasn't here, I simply asked if a thought had occurred to you." said the goblin with a cruel sneer. (I made him up so you may dislike him but you may not flame him! Grrr.) "Second door on the left." he said pointing to a nearby hallway.
Harry stood in surprise for a moment, before stalking off, he decided in that moment that he very much disliked that goblin. The hall looked like something borrowed from a haunted castle, and the doors, it seemed, were made of stone. Despite this Harry could not help but feel joy remembering the reason for his visit.
He knocked once on the door and enter at the sound of Griphook's voice. "Harry!" he said, quite happy to see his favorite customer. It was surprising to see such a calm quiet smile on the face of a goblin. " did not expect you until at least the sun had risen." Harry had formed a friendship with the goblin over the six years Griphook had managed his account. The goblin was one of the few people Harry people Harry felt he could show his true, rather slytherin self to. (Yes he can go suddenly from meek to happy to slytherin, he was abused from the time was old enough to walk, you can't expect him to be mentally stable now can you?) And even Griphook did not know know the full extent of Harry's abuse.
"Come, sit," invited Griphook. "I was just finishing up the paperwork for transferring your inheritance into your possession, there was quite a bit of work that needed doing. It seems someone powerful has been moving money from your accounts."
Harry pondered for a moment over the word "accounts" before focusing on the rest of what the goblin had said. "Moving? You mean stealing." He spoke as though it were a question, but they both knew it was not. "who and how much?" he asked, an angry smile on his face.
Griphook handed him a handwritten list.
Who How much
Harry grinned for a moment at the word choice.

Harry closed his eyes and absorbed the knowledge, before opening them as a icy glare appeared on his face. "The money will be returned." His tone of voice left no room for argument. He turned to the goblin, his features softening slightly at the sight of his friend. "Umm...." he said softly, "Can I see my new account balances and whatever properties I've gained?" Griphook handed Harry another piece of parchment.

Harry's jaw dropped. He had been expecting the Potters and even Sirius's contribution had not been too much of a surprise, but the founders! He was also surprised to have inherited so much from his mother, the Evans were a muggle family... weren't they?
He looked up at Griphook and cleared his throat before he spoke. "I'll need the address to the...." he glanced once more at the list, "Marauders' Den." he finished. "I'll also need my family rings." he added as an afterthought.
Certainly," said Griphook and he took a small bag out from his desk drawer. In the box were three rings and four bracelets.
Harry picked up the Potter family ring and put it on his right middle finger., the Black family ring went on his left. he put the Evans family ring on a chain, provided by Griphook, around his neck. he hesitated a moment5 before slipping the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff bracelets on his left wrist, and the Slytherin and Ravenclaw bracelets on his right. he hid them all beneath the sleeves of his cloak.
What's the point of wearing them if you're going to hide them?" asked Griphook with a smile.
Harry, unable to think of a good answer stuck out his tongue at Griphook. "I'll need some gold as well. I have a little shopping to do." He said holding out the hem of his giant shirt. "I'm afraid I'll need a whole new wardrobe." he said smiling.
"Most likely," he said thinking for a moment, "I'll need some muggle money as well."
Griphook nodded and went to get what Harry asked for. While he was gone Harry looked briefly around the room. he saw what appeared to be a bust of a goblin head. Remembering Batman he jokingly pushed back the head, only to be shocked when it moved. 'Goblins watch Batman?' he thought with a slight laugh. He soon recovered and looked at what he had uncovered. I was a box, like the ones that hold engagement rings in the muggle movies.
Before Harry could open the box Griphook came back, a moneybag in each hand. harry froze. Griphook stared at him, somewhat irritated, but not angry.'Trust Harry to find it early" he thought. "I hadn't planed on giving that to you yet ." he said, "Trust you to find it early."
Harry looked confused. "Open it." harry did, a small ring with the potter family crest on it, atop an emerald sat nestled in the pale cloth.
"What is it?" asked harry. "I mean obviously it's a ring, but why does it have the potter family crest on it?." he asked.
"It's an engagement ring." Harry blushed. "It's a family heirloom of yours. your father gave it to your mother. You should give it to your true love." (An odd phrase to come out of a goblin's mouth don't you think?)
"Love?!? But I'm still in school!" he cried panicking.
"so was your father when he met Lilly. Besides I did not intend to give it to you yet, thus the hidden compartment." Griphook replied, gesturing to the bust. "Now," he said, holding out the money bags, "Here's your money, Madame Malkin's opens in about 15 minutes, just enough time to get there."
Harry scrambled to put the ring in his pocket before tying both bags to his belt.
You may also want to glamor your appearance. I'm afraid the changes might shock some witches, Wizards too most likely."
"Changes?" Griphook pulled out a small hand mirror out of his desk (Lol, Griphook's vain) and handed it to Harry.
Harry took in his appearance. Where his hair had once been short and looked like he never combed it, it was now to his shoulders and attractively messy. His eyes had gotten deeper and they looked... different. the pupils had become more narrow. Sort of like a cat's eyes, but more human. he had gotten a bit taller and become more... well as much as he hated to admit it, more feminine. he could almost have passed for a girl. He scowled at his reflection.
"You may wish to check your teeth as well, particularly your canines." said Griphook helpfully.
Harry opened hi mouth warily and gasped in shock. He had fangs! "Wha-what am I?" he asked still in shock.
"I'm not sure." Griphook replied. "I have suspensions, but your changed appearance is not enough to tell. I take it you don't quite understand about magical inheritances?"
"What do you mean?"
"Some pureblood wizards_"
"I'm not pureblood," interrupted Harry, "I'm a halfblood, Lilly was a muggleborn."
"Evidently not," answered Griphook, gesturing to Harry, "Now, as I was saying, sometimes pureblood wizards take it upon themselves to marry humanoid magical creatures to produce children of stronger magic. Often the more obvious features skip generations or don't show up at all. Usually the parents of a pureblood will explain this, but as you were, unfortunately orphaned at a young age and Lilly was believed to be a muggleborn, I guess you were never told.Be prepared for other purebloods to look different this year. Only purebloods have strong enough magic to support creature blood. It's rumored Salazar had some Naga blood in him." added Griphook.
"Naga?" questioned Harry.
"A Naga," said Griphook, "is a creature born with three forms, that of a human, that of a snake, and one that's somewhere in between." he mused. "A naga's third form has the upper body of a human, and the lower body of a snake. They can be very venomous, and are capable of frightening small children with a single look." he joked.
Harry muttered something that sounded suspiciously like, 'First batman, now superman, who's next, spiderman?"
"With great power comes great responsibility."
Harry glared at his goblin friend.
"Now if you don't mind, I have a meeting in fifteen minutes and if I remember correctly, you have clothes to buy.
(He didn't mean it as rude as it sounds)
Harry nodded reluctantly, still curious about nagas. He put a light glamor on himself and left looking like a perfectly normal sixteen year old, rather than the savior of the wizarding world, or even like the strange part creature being he had become.
