Chapter 2
For disclaimer and character description, see prologue.
A/N: Quick adjustment that I need to make. Sky's father who died in the prologue, was not her real dad. Her real dad died in 1976, when she was 5 years old. I will explain in a matter of a few chapters.

Before dinner, Bill and Sky went for a walk together. "So, how'd you meet Fleur?"
"She was a Triwizard champion a few years back, actually. Mum and I went to Hogwarts to support Harry, don't ask it was complicated. Anyway, after that Voldemort came back and I moved back here and took a desk job. Fleur was working for Gringotts and I was helping her with her English."
Sky laughed at that. "Yeah, okay. I'm not Mum, Bill," she rolled her eyes. "Seriously though, you took a desk job over Curse Breaking?"
"Only temporarily."
"So you and Fleur are moving to Egypt after the wedding? Hatim'll stop bugging me about taking your job?" Bill was silent and looked away from her. "Fleur doesn't want to go to Egypt and you're going to give up your dream job for her," Sky shook her head. "That was one thing I always loved about you, Bill. You were always sure of what you wanted and would stop at nothing to make sure you got it. Those who wanted to be with you, came with you." She stopped. "It should've been me with you in Egypt," she muttered.
"But you left. Left me without any type of goodbye other than my fang necklace and a note saying 'bye'." The fang necklace had been a gift to Sky on their first year anniversary, two months before they got engaged. She'd left it on top of the note in her bedroom at her parents' house before she left for Greece.
"I had to leave, Bill. I couldn't stand to be in England a moment longer. I had an emotional break down and didn't want anyone to see me like that. I'm just lucky Rain found me before I could completely waste away."
"I'll have to meet this girl and thank her one day," Sky smiled.
"When's the wedding?" She asked after a moment of quiet.
"The end of August. Will you be there?"
She snorted. "We'll see." They were silent again. "Are you happy, Bill?"
"I don't know. By marrying her, I am giving up my dream and I'm not sure I'm ready for it."
"So why are you getting married?"
"Bill! Sky! Dinner!" Charlie's voice rang out from the house. Together, the two of them wandered back to the house, Sky's question staying unanswered.
As everyone was eating dinner, Sky flipped her hair back off of her shoulder and two gasps, one shocked the other excited, sounded at the table. "When did you get that?" Molly asked.
At the same time Ginny said, "Cool, you dyed your hair blue."
"I got it when a piece of one of the temples broke off and I wasn't quite as out of the way as I thought. The piece that hit me was only about this big," she held her index finger and thumb apart to show how big the piece was. "But it was rather sharp," she added, fingering the jagged scar on her neck that Molly had asked about. "As for the blue hair, it's Annie's favorite color and she said I should dye my hair blue. Then Cy insisted that I wouldn't look good with blue hair so I should only dye half of it blue. Hence why my hair is blue under the black."
"Annie and Cy?" Arthur asked.
"Annushka and Cyrus, they're twins," Sky replied, though that didn't completely answer the question.
"So they live with you and Rain?" Bill asked.
"Yep," neither Sky nor Charlie commented on why Annie and Cy lived with Sky and Rain.
After dinner, Molly took Sky upstairs to the twins' old room. "They live above their shop in Diagon Alley so you're welcome to their room while your here. Bill and Fleur are in his old room until the wedding, Charlie's just down the hall in Percy's old room, Ron and Harry are in Ron's room, and Ginny and Hermione are in Ginny's room."
The motherly witch was nervous. "Relax, Mum. I won't ever leave without telling you where I'm going ever again. I swear," Sky embraced her.
"All of my children are grown up and moving on now."
"Ginny's not. She's still at home for another year."
"She just needs grand kids to spoil, that's all," Bill stated from the door way.
"I could've had them by now," Molly muttered. Bill and Sky both heard what she didn't say. That if Sky hadn't left, or if Bill had found her, she'd have them already. Sky twisted the engagement ring necklace again.
"She doesn't know had to handle the calm that comes with not having children in the house," Bill sighed after his mum left the room.
"She loves it when everyone's home, doesn't she?"
Bill nodded. "So, why did it take you so long to come back?" He asked.
Sky sighed as she took her two shrunken suitcases out of her pocket. She enlarged them as she thought of a way to answer. "I wasn't sure I could. The thought of coming back to England used to give me chills. Then I started thinking that it was best if I didn't come back because you all had probably moved on and didn't give me a second thought anymore. And don't start about that, Charlie already did. After I ran into Charlie, I was entirely too nervous. I know that they're all silly reasons, but you asked."
"Yeah, they are silly reasons. But I'm glad you're back," Bill hugged her and brushed a kiss against her temple. For that one moment, Sky forgot he was engaged to another woman.
"Bill, zar you are. Come, we 'ave seating to pick out," at the sound of Fleur's voice, Bill broke away and they left.
Sky sat on one of the beds and stared out the window. "Why didn't you warn me?" She asked, hearing Charlie entered the room.
"Because it doesn't change why you're here. Besides, I thought you might want to know what he's become. He's not the same Bill you left here. I mean, he stayed the same for quite a while, but Fleur turned him into something he's not. Did he tell you that he's not planning to go back to Egypt? She doesn't want to go to Egypt because it's too hot and there's too much sand."
"Yeah, he told me that he's not going back. Giving up his dream for a girl. Is she part Veela?" Charlie had sat on the bed beside Sky, but she had yet to look away from the window.
"A quarter. I guess he likes girls who're part creature, doesn't he?"
"Demons, Charlie. We're both demons."
"Veela are demons?"
"Yes. Their seduction power takes away a man's free will. They prefer not to think of themselves as demons though, as I'm sure you can imagine," Sky rolled her eyes. "Bill asked me if I would go to their wedding," she stated after she realized Charlie wasn't going to respond.
"No he didn't."
"He did, actually. I'm not sure if I'll go though. I don't think I will."
"I don't think anyone will blame you if you don't."
A/N: And this is the end of this chapter. I'm working on the next one as we speak. Not that that means much, really. It may take me a while to get it done. -Cora
