Disclaimer:
I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
In which Lucius plots.
Thank you to my reviewers:
Jilliane - Yes it's your fault, but that also means all the "Yay Sequel" reviews I'm getting are really supporting you!
karisma - Hmm, I don't think Lucius is that good at coping when things go wrong.
prettypinkpony - Glad you're along for the ride.
Mixed_Up - Ta for the reviews. Nice to see your name again (please don't nag about the chapter lengths!)
PepsiPrincess - It wouldn't be one of my stories if there weren't problems!
cravedom - Holy crap, honey! Are you trying to kill me?! I read your review and laughed so loud I think I woke up my neighbours! And well done for making Jilliane laugh so hard she fell off her chair. So, babe, this chapter is for you - just cos that review was the FUNNIEST thing I've ever read! SP
Chapter Three: In which Lucius plots.
Lucius sat in his study, a little over a week later, mulling over various ideas. He had rejected a great number of them as too difficult, too risky, or just too ridiculous. He had now only two schemes to pick from and was satisfied with neither. As he scoured them both he began to worry that perhaps his loss of that portion of himself had somehow affected his abilities. After all, never before had he had any trouble in creating and completing a plan. So why the trouble now?
He was, it was true, horny and frustrated, and entirely without means of sating those needs. That would affect his judgement, he was sure.
He called for the house elf, and tapped his fingers once on the arm of the chair before the creature appeared, bowing low.
“Master, sir?” Studdy grovelled, long ears touching the thick carpet.
“Elf, you will shortly assist me in a task I have resolved to undertake. It will be vital that you are able to move freely between this building and another, more highly protected location.”
Studdy’s large eyes fixed upon his master’s face briefly, then he dropped them again and bowed still lower. “Of course, master, sir. Studdy will obey master, sir, as Studdy must.”
Privately the elf wondered how he could sabotage his master’s plans, as, without a doubt, they would involve either highly illegal activities, or suffering for an innocent person. Possibly both.
Malfoy dismissed the elf and went back to his plans, annoyed that nothing better was coming to mind.
Irritated, he pushed the pieces of parchment he had used to jot his ideas down on away from him and stood up. He drank down a criminally expensive wine without tasting it and resolved to forget the plans for the rest of the evening.
The following morning, Lucius awoke and was just selecting which cane best matched his outfit when Studdy arrived with the freshly pressed Daily Prophet. On the front page was a very embarrassed and sheepish looking Harry Potter, and a thoroughly annoyed Severus Snape. POTTER PREGNANT! blared the headline. He scanned the columns:
The Daily Prophet can exclusively reveal today that Harry Potter, the saviour of our world, is indeed pregnant.
For some time, speculation has surrounded Mr Potter, and especially his recently formed attachment to Professor Severus Snape, ex-Death Eater and spy for the Order during the war. Those closest to the pair have been reluctant to speak and refute these assertions which has led many to believe they are, in fact, correct.
This latest news, from one who knows, seems to confirm that Potter and Snape are involved in a serious relationship, and have been so for some time.
As far as can be ascertained, Potter became pregnant over the new year. This means that his son or daughter will be due in September. Everyone here at the Prophet wishes both Potter and his partner happiness.
Lucius snorted in annoyance; the Prophet really was a hypocritical newspaper! Not three weeks ago it had run an article about the dangers of love potions, and how they can affect “young, naïve men”. The references to Potter had not been lost on anyone. And now they were cheering Potter and Snape on from the sidelines!
Around him everyone seemed to be flaunting the fact of their sexual congresses in his face. He nearly threw the paper from him in disgust, but stopped at the last moment as an idea occurred. Not just any idea, but a stupendous one. One that would ensure Severus did as Lucius wanted. He smiled, grey eyes malicious as he pulled a fresh piece of parchment to him and began writing furiously.
Within a very few minutes the sheet was covered with notes, a time line and various dates. The article in the paper had been read and re-read and all available data taken from it.
At last he sat back, a satisfied and cruel smile upon his face. He now would set his plan in motion. He would shortly be able to enjoy the full use of that most sensitive part of himself…
