Make You See My Love

After the boys left the office and everyone settled down with a cup of tea and passing on the lemon drops. They all look around at each other soaking in the awkwardness of what was about to be discussed. But since it was the cover story that Hermione made up they decided to let her ride it out.

“I must say I wasn’t aware that there was a school in Greece called Blackwood. Where is it located exactly?” Dumbledore said as he set his mug down on his desk then looked up at the girls who were looking at Hermione for an answer.

Clearing her throat she spoke. “Well Headmaster what I’m about to tell you is strictly between us. But we didn’t come for Blackwood. I made that part up. You see earlier today we were in the Room of Requirement having our weekly tea and discussion when something happened. Although we don’t exactly know what happened.”

“Ok so you’re not from Blackwood School for Girls in Greece but you were in the Room of Requirements here at Hogwarts is that correct?” Dumbledore asked trying to piece together what Hermione was trying to say.

“Right! We were talking about guys we like and rumors you know typical girl chattering and then...” Ginny piped in before Hermione could answer.

“This isn’t our time. “ Luna answered making observation.

“What do you mean this isn’t your time?” Dumbledore asked perplexed by the wording Luna used.

“I mean that this morning it was November firsts nineteen ninety seven and now it’s not.” Luna answered calmly as if it should be obvious.

“Oh, I see that is a dilemma isn’t it. And you say that you don’t know what happened. Do any of you have a Time-Turner? He asked trying to figure out the puzzle as it played out before him.

“I did but haven’t had it since third year. Many things happened that year and was overwhelming and I decided that it wasn’t worth having around.” Hermione stated offhand in reply perplex and deep in thought over what is going on.

“What about the rest of you?” Dumbledore asked but only found the girls shaking their head no vigorously.

“Well then it seems I am at a loss here. If there wasn’t a time turner involved. Did any of you get hexed?” He looked at the girls hopeful but was only met with the shaking her their heads once again. “Did any of you find a rare door that you hadn’t seen before?” Again they shook their heads no and being a Gryffindor who considered himself all knowing he just couldn’t understand how they ended up here. “Are you ladies sure that your from the future?”

“Yes we are from the future and as we said before. All that we understand that happened was that we were in the room of requirement having a friendly conversation before leaving and coming straight here. Nothing happened other then that. No Door, No Hexes nothing. Look maybe something happened that we aren’t aware of.” Hermione said looking nervous yet disturbed by the term of events playing out.

“Oh, you think? I wouldn’t have guessed. Maybe this is something that the Room of Requirements is able to do. I mean it was able to give us a passage to Hogsmeade many times when we were sneaking around the castle.” Pansy added in to help with the thought process.

“Well thank you Pans now the Headmaster knows what we are capable of and will be watching more closely.” Hermione said and then paused. “However I do think your right? Maybe! But why would the Room do that?”

“What may I ask are you ladies talking about?” Said the Headmaster looking at one then the other for a reply.

Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly before looking up at the Headmaster Hermione replied. “When inside the room of requirements you can pretty much ask for anything and it will give it to you. Including a passageway that leads straight to Hogsmeade if we want it.“

“Do you think maybe one of us wished or asked mentally for us to go back to the past?” Luna asked bewildered by the realization that maybe one of them had actually been the reason that they were in the past. Although it did seem unlikely to her but wasn’t going to say anything.

“ I guess we could go back to the room and ask to go back to the future. But whose to say it will be our future what if we go further into the past or to far into the future?” Ginny asked trying to pitch in.

“ I really think we should research this before we try sending you ladies back. We don’t want to mess up the order of things because we miscalculated your chances. So what are we to do with you ladies?” He looked around and noticed slight nervousness as they all looked at one another.

“Well sir before we go any further I think that there is something you should know.” This came from Hermione and he looked on with concern.

“Yes and what would that be Miss…. You know I don’t think I asked your names before. I know she said her name was Ginevera Granger.” He looked over at Ginny who smiled back at him.

“Well my name is Hermione Granger and that is actually Ginny Weasley and over there is Pansy Parkinson she’s with the dark hair and that’s Luna Lovegood.”

“Ah good to hear. I do remember asking you when I answered the door but I think you might have pieced together what was going on quickly and remedied the situation before it got out of hand that’s good, that’s good. We can fix this situation. However what was it that you wanted to tell me Ms. Granger?” He looked at Hermione expectantly with a slight twinkle in his eye not unlike his future self.

“Well I just wanted to let you know that in my third year I was in a situation that caused me to be afflicted with Lycanthrope.” She replied sheepishly yet with a slight bit of embarrassment.

“Oh…I see. Well would you be so kind in telling me your story. You don’t have to give names or anything but I would like to know.”

“Ok but I would like to ask you to never tell anyone else what I’m about to tell you. The only ones who know in the future are you, my friends and a couple of three professors or and Madame Pomfrey.”

“That you shouldn’t have to worry. If my future self already knows then suffice to say that I’m trustworthy. Now continue please.”

Hermione took a deep breath as she looks at the four girls that she has become close to over the last four years all of them were giving her encouraging nods. She turned and looked at Dumbledore and smiled.

“Yes you are trustworthy Headmaster. Your like a Grandfather to us all in the future. You have never had anything but our best intrest in mind. But I’m afraid that what I’m about to tell you is going to be a sad tale.”

“Well I’ll do my best not to make any rash assumption.”
