Midmorning

I frowned, puzzled as Ginny walked towards me. I was sitting on the bench overlooking the lake. She smiled and waved to me, I waved back before making room for her next to me. She sat down, swishing her luxurious thick red hair over her shoulder.

“Ginny, what brings you out this early in the morning on a Saturday?” I asked. School had started back up with nothing else to really say.

“I was about to ask you the same thing,” she grinned over at me, obviously in a very good mood.

“I just wanted time outside, to think,” I answered, looking out on the peaceful waters.

“I can understand that,” she murmured, leaning back.

“What’s putting you in such a good mood?” I just had to ask.

“I don’t really know, I think because I’m alive, should there be any better of a reason?” She looked over at me, I shrugged in return.

“It’s better than most reasons I’ve heard,” I replied, she nodded, her smile returning as her eyes roamed over the grounds.

“Do you ever wonder what would have happened if even one thing was different in our lives?” She asked dreamily.

“What do you mean?”

“Just thinking out loud. I mean, obviously we can’t go back in time and change anything but sometimes it’s nice to just imagine,” she breathed, I studied her attractive face for a while before looking out on the lake thoughtfully.

“What do you think should be changed?”

“I don’t know, you tell me,” she pinned me with her pretty blue eyes that reminded me so much of her brother, I glanced away nervously.

“I think I better be getting back,” I stood up abruptly, she followed me up.

“I’m sorry Harry, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable,” she looked so sincere just then. I nodded and turned to go back, suddenly she grabbed my arm and pulled me back to her. She started to say something but my mouth got in the way. Her lips tasted like a passion fruit, full and spicy with a blend of dark intensity. Her arms slid around my neck as my hands fit neatly around her trim waist. I could feel her body pressed up against me as her tongue playfully lapped at mine. I couldn’t get enough of her, she was intoxicating like an extremely addictive drug.

I forced myself to pull away from her, searching her glazed over eyes as I took another step back. She opened her mouth again to say something but I shook my head slightly, silencing her. I turned and dragged myself away from her, feeling this hole start to form in my chest as my stomach dropped to my feet. I didn’t look back, didn’t want to but something inside made me. I glanced over my shoulder but she was already gone like an illusion but her taste was still inside my mouth and her touch branded on the skin of my neck. That was too real and too much.

~~~~~~!!!~~~~~
I taught my class as usual on Monday, didn’t run into Ginny at all through out the entire day but I full out ran into Malfoy.
“Watch it Scarhead,” he sneered, looking down his nose at me as I gathered up the rolled parchments I had dropped. Finally he sighed and started helping me pick up my student’s essays.
“I don’t need your help,” I growled evilly at him, it was so dark that he froze, looking at me like I had done the last thing in the world he expected me to do.
“Fine, Potter. I won’t try to help you again,” he hissed at me, dropping the parchments he had gathered, spinning on his heel and leaving. I felt horrible suddenly, he actually was trying to help me and I fucked it up. I sighed and brought out my wand, flicking all of them into my arms to shrink down into my shoulder bag. I had been so busy earlier that I didn’t think to use magic. I slowly dragged myself back to my office and dropped my bag on my desk and looked out onto the heavy rain pouring down outside. I was having such a bad day...
“Are you okay?” Hermione asked, concern written all over her at dinner that day. I shrugged and continued eating, my eyes searching out the lone Weasley at the griffindor table but she wasn’t there at all. I sighed and picked at my food.
“I’ll be fine, just had a bad day,” I murmured in response, she sighed and let me alone for once.
I found myself in the library later that night, it wasn’t like I had a good five hours of grading papers ahead of me or anything but I couldn’t concentrate on any of it. Ginny had always been the little sister of my best mate. Someone that was always there and never changed, was always the sweet, innocent cutie that tagged along on all our adventures. The damsel in distress, the pure white in a world of grays and blacks. But that kiss, that was something completely different from high ideals and shades of gray, that was color instead of grayscale.
“Potter,” Draco’s voice broke into my internal monologue.
“Hey Malfoy, wait, I just wanted to apologize for earlier...” I trailed off before he turned to leave. A spark of concern went through his features for a split second before his usual blank mask clamped down.
“Well that’s what you get for being rude,” he spun around.
“I’ve just been having a lot to think about lately,” I murmured, he stopped and glanced back at me.
“Would a red haired young vixen have anything to do with it?” He asked, shock slammed through me as my mouth dropped open. He sighed and turned back around.
“Let’s go somewhere to talk privately,” he offered, I nodded and followed him out of the library and down into the dungeons to his office.
“How did you know?” I exploded, sitting down in front of the crackling fire, he joined me in the other winged back chair.
“I saw you two by the lake on Saturday, you should learn to get a room Potter, anybody could have seen you,” he pointed out, a cold feeling slashed through my veins as I looked to the fire.
“That was pretty stupid.”
“She is very surprising, isn’t she?” Draco had a sharp, mischevious glint in his eye.
“What do you know about her?” I demanded, confused.
“I ran into her at a muggle club over the Hols,” he answered, I shook my head, I couldn’t imagine Draco surrounded by muggles, let alone at a club.
“There’s a lot you don’t know about me Potter,” he pointed out.
“So what happened?”
“Well...we found out a lot of things about each other. She’s definitely not who I thought she was. I don’t know if you even have a clue but she knows her way around the dance club scene and gives amazing head,” Draco had a satisfied grin on his face, I felt suddenly off. The world had tilted on it’s axes and nothing was right at all. I blinked up at him, so shocked I couldn’t speak.
“Come on Potter, do you think she was going to stay a little girl for the rest of her life? She grew up but obviously you keep living in the past,” Draco pointed out, I shook my head.
“But you...she...you,” I stammered out, shaking my head. Suddenly he leaned towards me, wrapping his long tapered fingers around the back of my neck and yanked me to him, his lips running over mine. I groaned, feeling electricity sparking where ever he touched. His tongue ran over my lips and I opened my mouth, letting him in to explore. His fingers ran down and scraped down my inner thigh. I blinked open my eyes, pulling away from him and getting up, stepping back.
“You know you want it, you want him,” he growled, standing up and grabbing me, shoving me up against him.
“Want him?” I struggled to get away from him.
“You want me,” he hotly breathed in my ear before licking it, sending shivers down my spine. I hissed, freezing up.
“What’s going on here?” The door was open behind us and in it stood Draco Malfoy looking about as confused as I felt.
“I’d like to know that to,” I looked to the person accosting me. He looked from the real Draco Malfoy to me before stepping back.
“I think I better go now,” he murmured, hurrying past Malfoy, somehow managing to slip out of his grasp and running off into the darkness.
“What the fuck?” Draco asked behind me as I stared at the darkness that the fake Malfoy had disappeared into.
“I have no idea what just happened either. I had apologized to you for being so rude earlier and then...” and it fit, Ginny had taken a polyjuice potion to turn into Draco and that was why he knew about the time at the lake. It had to be Ginny but...I turned around to look straight into Draco’s eyes.
“Did you fuck Ginny Weasley,” I straight up asked him, forcing him into reacting and giving me the answer I knew he wouldn’t verbalize. It was shock then horror, he had done it with her.
“Get the fuck away from me Potter,” he hissed, knowing that he had given himself away. He turned and walked into his office, slamming the door behind him. I took a deep breathe to try and calm myself. There was a lot going on and for some reason it was amusing to watch, exciting to see where all this was going. I had no clue what was going to happen next and for once it wasn’t going to be something horrible.
