Chapter Two - A Soul Mate’s Heart Ache

Unfortunately this is not a Harry and Snape fic. Their will be some sort of relationship between them but it won’t be a romantic one.
Harry and Sam are soul mates because Sam was born to be. Their not or will ever be in a romantic relationship together they are best friends and understand each other completely. I believe that you can be soul mates with someone and not lovers so I put it in my way. Sorry to anyone who disagrees.

“HARRY! DRACO! WAKE UP! GUYS WAKE UP!”
Draco woke up immediately at the sound of Remus’ urgent voice. He shook his husband awake and moved out of the bed to turn the light on.
It had been 3 days since Sam and Oliver had announced the pregnancy and Harry still hadn’t told Draco. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to, it was just that there never seemed to have the time. Draco had been constantly working late into the night, usually coming home when Harry was already asleep, then in the mornings Harry would be awoken by Draco nibbling on his ears which usually lead to what is friends had affectionately called “Steamy bedroom moments” which would lead to both of them having a shower, and then heading straight to work. Then the same thing would happen all over again.
Harry grumbled into his pillow at the sudden wake up and hid his face even more into the pillow when Draco turned the light on.
“Harry come on Remus is fire calling us and he sounds urgent!” at this Harry shot awake at this and made a dash for the fire place in the living room.
“Harry! Draco! Hurry and get dressed there’s been an accident!” Remus said as though the he couldn’t get the words out quick enough.
“Who’s hurt! Remus who is it?” Harry cried out
“Just hurry up and get through here! We’re at Molly’s! We don’t have much time!”
“Remus!” Draco said firmly, realising that until Harry knew who was hurt he would not budge.
“Its Oliver.” Remus sighed with a huge weight that went along with this information.
“Move we’re coming through!” Harry yelled.
“Harry we’re not even dressed..” Draco started
“I DON’T CARE! I NEED TO GET TO SAM!” and with that he walked over to the fire place and yelled out molly’s address. Couple seconds later Draco following.

By the time they had all gotten to the Muggle hospital, it was 3 o’clock in the morning.
Harry and Remus quickly made their way to the front desk to see if they could find out what had happened. 10 minutes later a Doctor waked over to them and asked them to follow him.
After a couple of minutes, the Doctor stopped and turned around to face them.
“Sam has asked me to tell you what happened and to explain what is happening now.” My name is Doctor Harrows and I was the one operating on Oliver when he arrived here.” Everyone nodded in acknowledgement, silently urging him to go on.
“Do any of you now what happened?” Everyone shock their heads. Remus spoke up
“No. Sam just called me and told me that there was an accident and that she would be here and ask if I could let everyone know.”
Doctor Harrows nodded his head, his expression blank and emotionless. “A couple of hours ago Oliver was involved in a Hit-And-Run. He suffered broken ribs which in turn punctured his left lung in 3 places. He has a broken leg and arm, but the injury were most concerned about is his head injury which lead to bleeding inside his skull and put pressure on his brain. Now we don’t know the extent of the damage until he wakes up. But there is also of the possibility of him never waking up.”
During Doctor Harrow’s everyone gasped and took large in takes of breath in places but remained silent. Hermione had turned away to cry into Ron’s arms. Ron was kissing the top of her head looking at the floor drawing small circles on Hermione’s back. The Weasley clan had all huddled together for reassurance that they were all still there. While Harry stood still barely breathing looking just over The Doctor’s shoulder. He felt Draco place his hand in his and Remus place a comforting hand on his shoulder.
“Doctor Harrows, where is Sam?” Mr Weasley asked from the huddle of red heads.
“She is with Oliver in the Recovery Room. Which reminds me which of you is Mr Potter?”
Harry looked at Doctor Harrows and took a small step forward. He didn’t trust himself so speak.
“Right. Sam would like a word if everyone could wait out here until we moved him to his new room.” He opened the door for Harry to enter.
Harry’s feet started to move on their own accord and walked just inside the dimly lit room. He turned to look at Doctor Harrows who nodded and careful shut the door behind him.

He looked around the room and a spotted Sam staring out of the window. He made his way over to her and wrapped his arms around her and placed his chin on her shoulder.
“He’s dying” Sam whispered leaning her head back to rest on Harry. He didn’t need to ask how she knew, he just knew that she did. She had known in the war who would survive and who wouldn’t but couldn’t say because they had to die. He didn’t agree with it but he knew better than to question destiny. They stayed their for a couple of minutes until they made their way to some chairs next to Oliver’s bed. Where Sam immediately crawled onto Harry’s lap and started to cry.
Eventually she cried herself to sleep leaving Harry with his thoughts.
