Meanwhile
Things with Ginny and Harry weren’t going so good. Ginny felt empty and alone inside. She would spend all day working hard wishing and hoping to see his smiling face when she walked through the front doors, but Harry was never home. He was either out working or at some corner pub drinking the night away with Ron and the boys. He became something different after the war. He was not as warm and fuzzy like he had always been. Things had changed, and it wasn’t for the best.
Ginny sat in candle light on the blue leather sofa. She was wearing this skimpy, risqué ensemble. It was a dark maroon-like red that sparkled with every touch of light. She sat there on the verge of tears staring at the phone. She reached for the phone saying, “You son of a bitch.”
Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring.
“Hey you’ve reached Harry Potter’s cell phone, but… ((a chuckle)) I’m busy so leave a message. Later!”
She hung up before the beep sounded. She took a deep breath and redialed her beloveds number.
Ring. Ring. Ring.
“Hello?”
“Oh uh… Harry?”
“Hey Huny ((burp)) excuse me. Umm how’s it going?”
“Harry sweetie, when you coming home? I have a surprise for you…” She smiled and bit her lower lip.
“Oh I don’t know Gin.” He guzzled down another shot, “Just go to bed and don’t wait up for me ok?”
“But Harry… Don’t you know what tonight is?”
“It’s a night out with the boys,” he laughed and high fived someone.
“No! It’s our anniversary Jack off! I’m sick of going to sleep alone every night. I’m over it Harry!”
“Ginny baby… Calm down. I’ll uhh leave a little earlier tonight ok?”
“Forget about it. I’m going out and you don’t wait up for me! Goodbye!”
She hung up before he could say another word. She was so mad at him that she had blazing fire in her eyes. She jumped off the couch and ran across the house to the bedroom. She quickly jumped out of her lingerie and ran to the dresser. She found her shortest mini skirt and most revealing tank top. As she walked to the dining room table, she grabbed her purse and pulled out her wallet.
She shuffled through her credit cards, VIP cards, and ID’s until she found the hidden business card. She pulled it out and read what it said, “If you ever need to let lose… Give me a call, anytime day or night!”
As she grabbed her things and ran out to her car, she smiled. For the first time in along time she was excited about something. She backed out of the driveway and headed down the street. At the stop sign she pulled out her cell phone and called the number on the card.
Ring. Ring. Ring.
“Hello Ginny…”
“Hey umm… I was wondering if I could stop by and hang out for a while. Is that ok?”
“Yeah baby… You can stay all night if you really want to.”
“Yes. Yes. I’ll be there shortly.”
She threw her cell phone into the passenger seat and sped off into the darkness.
