Ginny
Chapter 3: Ginny
“Hey Mione,” Ron called as she entered the Gryffindor common room. “Are you ready for the match tonight?”
“I can’t wait Ron. I’m sure you’ll smash Ravenclaw. They aren’t doing very good this year. I need to talk to you and Harry after the match. Would you let him know to meet me in the head common room before dinner?”
“Sure thing Mione. I’m late for warmup, gotta go,” he called from the portrait as it swung shut.
Ginny was standing behind Hermione when she turned to leave for her own rooms. “How are you Hermione?” Ginny asked.
“Absolutely wonderful. I need to talk to you in private. Maybe you can help me with the boys later. Will you come to my common room? Then we can walk to the match together.” Hermione asked Ginny.
“Ooooh. I smell gossip,” Ginny exclaimed. Let me grab my makeup and I’ll give us both makeovers while we talk.”
Draco pounced on Hermione before she was through the portrait. He was kissing her and reaching his hand up her shirt before he noticed the redhead.
Ginny cleared her throat and Draco broke away from Hermione, looking around the room bewildered. “Little Weasel,” Draco greeted. Hermione smacked him on the arm, “What, I don’t know her name,” he whined.
“My name is Ginny, and you are Draco Malfoy, there is Blaise Zambini, and this is my best friend Hermione Granger. Would someone please tell me what the hell is going on here,” Ginny’s voice got louder with each word until she was shouting.
“Well Gin, its a long story. Remember that plan I told you and the boys about?” Ginny nodded and Hermione paused to collect her thoughts, “I decided to go through with it anyway, even though Harry didn’t think it was a good idea. And before you say anything I did learn some very valuable information, which I can’t disclose at this time…Anyway, apparently Draco and Blaise have Pansy…dress up…,” she trailed off, not sure how to explain their encounter without casting her new boyfriends in a bad light.
“What she’s trying to say is that Draco and I have liked her for a long time, without her knowledge. Pansy worships the ground Draco walks on, so he asked her to discreetly liberate some of Hermione’s hair. As you can guess the hair was for polyjuice potion. We had Pansy drink it and then pretended we were having sex with Hermione.” Blaise paused and looked over at Ginny.
“That’s fucking hilarious!” Ginny said smiling. Blaise sighed in relief. They weren’t in too much trouble with the little Weasel for deceiving and deflowering her best friend. “So I assume when Hermione turned back into herself you thought Pansy had taken the polyjuice, and ravished her” Ginny finished.
“That’s about how it happened...Ginny,” Draco said, proud that he called her the right name. “The rest of the story is that Hermione has decided to keep seeing us…” Draco trailed off, “Both of us.”
Ginny nodded, automatically supporting her best friend’s choice. “Well, Herms and I would love to stay and chat, but we have to go watch Gryffindor beat the pants off Ravenclaw. It should be a slaughter even with us down one player.”
“Why aren’t you out there with your brother and your boyfriend? You are the missing player if I have my roster correct.” Draco pried.
“Actually, some fifth year Slytherins lit my broom on fire yesterday morning. I don’t have a spare broom and no one else in Gryffindor has one rated high enough for quidditch,” Ginny answered sadly.
“Would you like to borrow mine?” Draco asked.
“I wouldn’t want to impose. We only just reached speaking terms a few minutes ago,” Ginny answered, although inside she was screaming, yes.
“Its next years Firebolt. Won’t even be out in stores for another six months,” Draco added. He really wanted to do this for Ginny to show Hermione he was willing to accept her friends.
“Only if you are completely sure its okay,” Ginny said calmly. Draco could see that she was close to jumping up and down at the chance to try out his broom.
“I am completely sure. Any friend of Hermione’s and all that rot,” Draco answered turning slightly pink in the cheeks. He reached his hand out and his broom came zooming down from the stairs into his outstretched palm. “If you fly out of that window you should make it before the match starts,” Draco said, gesturing to the window behind the couch.
“Thank you so much Draco. I owe you big,” Ginny shouted on the way out.
“That was very sweet of you,” Hermione said, kissing him on the cheek, “Thank you for helping her out. I can tell she really appreciated it.”
“It was nothing,” Draco lied.
“Bullshit,” Blaise said, turning from the window Ginny flew out. “Hermione, he got that broom two weeks ago and wouldn’t even let me touch it, let alone ride it. And he just handed it off to someone from an opposing team. That means he is 100% completely head over heals for you.” It was Hermione’s turn to blush at Blaise’s words.

“I almost feel bad about beating them so bad,” Harry said as they walked to the showers.
“We earned every point Harry. It’s not our fault they don’t train as hard as us,” Ron replied, Slapping Harry on the shoulder. “Plus, Ginny was awesome on that broom.”
“I meant to ask her who she borrowed that from. That’s the new Firebolt. It’s not even out yet. I thought the only person in school who had one besides me was Malfoy,” Harry finished.
“We can ask her when we’re done here. We’re supposed to meet her and Mione in the head common room before dinner.

“Hey Mione,” Harry and Ron said at the same time when she opened the portrait for them.
Ginny came down the stairs from Hermione’s bedroom. “Gin who’s broom did you borrow for the game?” Harry asked.
Ginny opened her mouth to reply, but Hermione interrupted her, “That’s related to what I need to tell you guys. So I’ll go first.” She took a deep breath, “I went ahead with the plan I told you guys about the other day.”
Ron opened his mouth to say something, but Hermione held her hand up silencing him. She decided not to tell them about Draco and Blaise making Pansy take polyjuice potion. “Well, Draco took me to the Slytherin common room, but we were only there for a minute. I was following him, trying to memorize everything there and he pulled he though a portrait and into his room…”
“His bedroom?” Ron cut in.
“Yes, Ron, his bedroom. After all I was wearing his girlfriends body. He started kissing me and I realized the only way to not get caught and expelled was to go along with it…” Hermione trailed off.
“I can’t listen to this,” Ron said. “Let’s get out of here Harry,” Ron said starting toward the door.
Harry turned to follow Ron, “Sorry Mione, but don’t come to any more Order meetings. We can’t have you there anymore.” Harry followed Ron out and slammed the portrait.
Hermione, had tears rolling down her face. She sank down to her knees once the portrait closed. Ginny went to her immediately, kneeling down and hugging her best friend. “They’ll come around. Just give them some time,” Ginny said quietly as she rubbed Hermione’s back in slow circles.
Draco and Blaise came down the stairs when they heard the portrait slam. Ginny helped Hermione to her feet and stepped back when they approached. Hermione went straight to Draco, who folded his arms around her and kissed the top of her head.
“I’ll see you at dinner,” Ginny said, gathering her backpack and makeup.
Once Ginny was gone Draco led Hermione to the couch, settling her on the middle cushion. He and Blaise took seats on either side of her. “Would you like to sit with us at the Slytherin table for dinner?” Draco asked.
Hermione nodded, “Thank you. I don’t think I’ll be welcome at the Gryffindor table for awhile.”
“It will be okay sweetheart,” Blaise said, turning her head toward him to kiss her gently on the lips. “We should probably head down.”
“Hey Mione,” Ron called as she entered the Gryffindor common room. “Are you ready for the match tonight?”
