Chapter 3

Chapter 3

“Louise! Come down here. Your father and I would like to have a word with you!” A heavily accented French voice called from the down stairs rooms of a small but modest 2 story home.

Sasha Louise Stamton Put in two blue butterfly clips into her hair to hold back the riotous, red, curls from her face. Her blue eyes lit up at the sight of herself in the mirror. Her 5’9” frame had developed over the summer and most especially over the last week. Her black hair had become steadily redder and she had grown taller than she was before. Her dark blue eyes had lightened to a sky blue. Sasha’s mother rarely called her Sasha but used her middle name instead. Her father called her Sasha though. With a small pirouette, she headed down the steep stairs.

“Mama! I have to pack! I am going back to Beauxbatons tomorrow.” She answered to the cries with her own dismayed voice.

“This is important, mon Chere, It concerns your return to the school here in France.” Her father said with a serious tone.

Sasha tilted her head to the side and took a seat at the family table. “What is it? I have to take my tests and find my career this year. I can’t miss that!”

Daphne Stamton smiled tolerantly at her daughter. “We need to have a serious talk. It is about your adoption.”

Sasha was beginning to get worried. The last time that they had talked about her adoption was when she was about 10 years old. She had been snooping through her parent’s things like any nosey child when she had come across her adoption papers. She had waited a week before she had enough courage to ask her parents about it. They had been furious with her for snooping but had answered all of her questions. Sasha hadn’t really cared about who her real parents were as she had wonderful parents right here. She was a bit curious over the siblings that she had never met.

“What is it? What’s wrong?” Her worry began to seep into her voice.

“Oh, nothing is wrong! Your mother and I thought that you would like to attend Hogwarts this year so that you can meet your birth sisters.” Her mother said.

Sasha stared at nothing in particular while she thought about meeting her sisters. After a few moments of silent contemplation, she asked her parents a question. “How do you know that they are at Hogwarts?”

Her father handed her a card. Written on it was a message in English. Her parents had made sure that she was fluent in it, so reading it was no problem.

After a moment of thinking about it, Sasha picked up the pen laying on the table and scrawled her response in her looped handwriting.

OK-Sasha

As she watched, another message appeared on the card.

Sounds Good-Kristin

The writing was angular and a bit harsh but it was the first actual evidence of her sisters existence besides the pictures. As all of this was noted by Sasha, another message appeared.

I’ll be there-Hermoine

Sasha looked up at her parents. “I would like to meet them. Going to Hogwarts will be good for my schooling anyway. But what about the two of you?”

“Chere, we will always be here. We are your parents. I do expect for you to write us and tell us what is happening. There is also winter break. You can come home to visit any time. Your father and I always regretted not taking the brown haired child with us as well as you, but our finances weren’t what they are now. We will contact the Headmaster and set up your transfer.” Her father said with a smile at his only child.

“Let us not waste the day. It is your birthday!” Her mother said while pulling out a package from her pocket, before enlarging it. Her father pulled two out from under the table as well.

Sasha took the package from her mother and ripped the paper off of it. Inside was a porcelain doll that looked just like her. She was thrilled because it would fit in her collection so nicely. The dolls name was Louise. Sasha read this and looked at her mother with a smile.

“A Louise for my Louise.” Her mother said.

Sasha smiled again and took the first box her father handed her. It was heavy and seemed to shift in her hands. As she removed the top, a small mew could be heard. Inside was an ugly little kitten. It had one ear and a scar that ran down its side. Sasha slowly took it out of the box. She looked at the little thing and then at her father.

“It was brought into the Healery after being hit by a muggle car. I helped patch the thing up but it seemed like no one wanted it. You have always liked to help lost little things so I thought she would find love in you.”

Sasha smiled at the battered Kitten. “I’ll take care of you. You need a name though. I like Raziel. It seems to fit you.”

The last box was put onto the table in front of her and the kitten. As she unwrapped it, Raziel played with the paper on the floor. The package was stuffed with makeup and hair supplies as well as a gift certificate for more. Sasha smiled at her mother and gave both a huge hug for her presents.

“I love them all!” After a wile Sasha stood up. “I need to go and pack up my things and get ready for my trip!” With one last hug to her parents, Sasha Stumbled up the stairs with her cat to gather up her items.
