Prolog: Discovery! Part 3

Lucius looked at Hermione, across the platform, and honestly his heart went out to her. He could feel his heart literally break for her. He stopped his train of thought. Lucius was shocked that he was thinking that.

‘Merlin’s Beard! Where in the name of Hades did that come from?’ Lucius said to himself.

It had been to secret in the Malfoy family to be descendants of Druids. Lucius would probably be surprised if Hermione didn’t know that about herself. The MacGregor and MacKeltar families were very powerful Druids. So what Lucius was experiencing was probably from that.

He sighed and walked over to Hermione. Lucius put his hand on her shoulder to give the courage and strength she needed for the day ahead of her.

“It will be alright Granger.” Lucius said awkwardly. He had to clear his throat once or twice. Why was he feeling like a scared little third year?

“Really Malfoy? It will be alright?” Hermione asked as the tears rolled down her cheeks as she spun to face Lucius. Lucius, for his roll, remind silent.

“How can it be alright, when the parents that bore me are dead and they are NEVER COMING BACK!” Hermione screamed as the tears in her eyes fell like raindrops down her cheeks.

Hermione turned and walked back towards the barrier. It was like her whole world was falling down around her. Lucius couldn’t get over how much pain Hermione was really in. He shook his head; Hermione was wallowing in self-pity, and was depressed.

Lucius prayed to every God and Goddess he could think of that would save her from the hell she was going through. He couldn’t help but think if Hermione got worse, would she take her own life?

That wasn’t something that Lucius wanted to think about. He marched over to Hermione, grabbed both of her arms, and spun her around to face him.

“Granger, you need to snap out of it! This isn’t the same feisty, spitfire, pixie, Gryffindor I met in your second year.” Lucius said sternly. He looked her over, but Hermione remained silent, didn’t say a word.

“Where’s that Gryffindor beauty that stirs the fire in me every time we banter with each other? Where my feisty spitfire?” Lucius asked in pleading voice. Again Hermione didn’t say anything.

“Come on Granger, where is your Gryffindor pride? Where’s the fight and sparkle I always see in those gorgeous brown eyes of yours? Granger please don’t do this. Where’s all your fight gone?” Lucius pleaded with her.

“It died. When my parents died. My ‘Fire’ as you call it Malfoy, died in the Death Eater Attack along with my parents.” Hermione said in a mellow voice. She began to pull herself away but Lucius held on.

Lucius tried another tactic. If Granger wanted to pull away from him then she was going to have to fight her way away from him. Lucius pulled Hermione close him and she began to struggle. He brought both of his hands on either side of Hermione’s face.

“You want to die Granger, you go when you are ready and not before. I will not loose. And I’ll be damned if you take your depression a step further. So you snap out of this Granger, right now!” Lucius said in a commanding voice.

Lucius then leaned down pressed his lips to Hermione’s. Hermione struggled against his hold for what seemed like eternity, and then she began to relax. Lucius’s tongue licked Hermione’s lips, begging for an entrance. Hermione opened her mouth and Lucius’s tongue slid home.

He pulled Hermione flush against his body as their tongues dueled with each other. Hermione wrapped her arms around Lucius neck trying to hold herself up. Lucius broke the kiss and placed kisses along her jaw and then playfully kissed her throat. Hermione held Lucius tighter.

“Oh Goddess Lucius, what’s happening to me?” Hermione asked in breathless voice.

“This is a good thing luv. Just let it happen.” Lucius said against Hermione’s neck.

It was then that both Lucius and Hermione felt something in their magic. It was a tingling sensation that coursed through their bodies. They looked at each other, and were surged into a powerful kiss. Magic swirled around them. Hermione began to glow.

Their friends noticed that Lucius and Hermione were soul mates. But the question was: Did Lucius and Hermione know that? Draco couldn’t help but smile. Even though he missed his mother, Narcissa and Lucius’s marriage, was a marriage of convenience and not love. When Narcissa was killed a month after her and Lucius divorce, Lucius felt like a burden had being lifted off his shoulders.

Draco knew that his parents weren’t in love so it didn’t bother him that they decided to divorce. In away he was happy for them. Now seeing him in Hermione’s arms passionately kissing her, he realized that for first time, his father finally found the love of his life.

It was then something shocking happened. Remus, Sirius, Severus, Arthur, Molly, Harry, Draco, Ron and Ginny all noticed that Hermione’s appearance started to change. Ron paled and still remained in shock. He still thought he and Hermione were meant to be. But seeing Hermione with Lucius Malfoy, all things changed. Hermione found her soul mate and in his own way Ron was happy, he just needed some time.

The rest of them including Ginny, loved Hermione and Lucius together. They brought out the best in each other. Ginny especially loved Hermione’s new look.

Hermione and Lucius reminded in their lip lock until they couldn’t take it any more. They broke apart with a gasp. Lucius wanted more and went in for another attack to Hermione lips. Hermione giggled and turned her head to side so that Lucius would kiss her cheek. Lucius pulled back and took a look at Hermione. She was smiling an actual smile.

“There’s my spitfire. You come back to me.” Lucius said with a wolfish grin. He leaned in for another kiss.

“Oh snap out of it Malfoy! Get your mind out of the gutter will you.” Hermione said as she playfully hit Lucius on the face, hard by the way, to snap him out his trance. Lucius jerked back with shocked, then groaned in pain and rubbed his cheek.

“Yup! Oh Yea! She’s back alright.” Lucius said as massaged his cheek to get the sting out.

“Oh you big baby!” Hermione said with a grin as she gently kissed Lucius cheek.

Lucius laughed and wrapped his arm around Hermione’s waist and they walked towards the others. Along the way, grabbed Crookshanks’s carrying case and pointed her wand at her trunk and shrunk it. She then handed it to Lucius who put it in his pocket.

When they arrived at their friends sides, there was aloud gasp from the group. Lucius and Hermione looked at each other confused. They didn’t know what to make of their friends expressions. Lucius was the first to speak.

“Ok guys, what’s with the looks of surprise? Are the Weird Sister’s here by chance?” Lucius asked as he looked around to prove his point.

“Hum, Lucius, have you by chance looked at Hermione?” Remus asked. Lucius looked at him confused.

“Of course I have you dolt, she standing right beside.” Lucius said as he gave Remus a glare and to make his point, Lucius pointed at the girl beside him.

“No, I mean actually looked at her.” Remus said with a sigh as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

Lucius turned and looked at Hermione. He stared at her in shock. It was he was looking at her for the first time. When he first met her in her second year, she was beautiful, her fourth year when he saw he again at the Quidditch World Cup, she even more beautiful. Now looking her she simply gorgeous and very sexy. Hermione raised an eyebrow.

“Malfoy, why are you staring at me?” Hermione asked confused. She looked around and found everybody staring at her.

“In fact, you’re all staring at me. Will you people stop it already, it’s giving me the creeps.” Hermione said in aspiration.

Ginny, being the ever bestest best friend to Hermione, decided to shed some light on the situation before Hermione got mad enough and started hexing everyone.

“Hermione maybe this will help.” Ginny said as she reached into her bag and started looking for something. Hermione gave her a confused looked. Ginny gave triumphant ‘Ah, Ah, Ha’ when she found what she was looking for.

“I knew I shouldn’t have let her watch Mary Poppins!” Hermione mumbled to herself. Lucius heard her and let out a snort. Hermione turned to him and gave Lucius a dazzling smile.

“Here this should help Hermione.” Ginny said as she handed Hermione the mirror she had found in her bag.

“Wow.” Hermione said with a huge grin.

Hermione’s appearance had indeed changed. Her skin was a creamy ivory color. Her hair was no longer wild and untamed, it had turned into a beautiful golden brown almost blond with a soft curl. Hermione’s eyes were no longer brown they were a sapphire blue. It seemed her mother put a glamour charm on her to protect her from Voldormort.

“I’m liking this new look already.” Hermione said with a deeper grin. Lucius walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around. He leaned down and whispered in her ear.

“And this look makes you very sexy darling. Especially the eyes, a really big turn on.” Lucius said in a soft, seductive voice. Hermione giggled and leaned into him. Lucius ran his fingers through her soft, silken, golden tresses. Hermione wasn't afraid to fall for Lucius because she already did and she was happy.
