Ginny's Anger

Things did not go well when Harry and Albus reached home. "Oh, so you decided to leave the other snakes and actually come home?" Ginny sneered as soon as they walked in the door. "I'm not making either of you dinner tonight, I thought you'd be staying with them." She turned back to the cooking.

"'Lo Mum." James walked in and kissed her on the cheek. "Alexi's coming over for dinner, okay?"

"Of course, darling." Alexi was James' girlfriend and had been a Ravenclaw.

"Well, tell Alexi we say hello and we're both sorry we're not here. Ginny, Al and I will be at Ron and Hermione's for dinner tonight." Harry offered his arm to his youngest son, who took it with no questions.

They Apperated to just outside their home to see Rose reading in the front garden. "Hello Uncle Harry! Hi Al!" She greeted them both cheerfully. "You're just in time for dinner. Come on in."

"Hello, Rosie." Harry muttered as the girl with Ron's energy but Hermione's mind, rushed into the house. Albus snickered.

"Harry! Albus! How are you?" Hermione ushered them inside the living room.

"We've been better." Harry answered for them both, hugging the brunette woman.

"Hey guys! Where's the rest of the family?" Ron entered the room and looked behind Albus to see if he could see his sister, other nephew, and niece.

"Still at home. Ginny is rather upset with the two of us today."

"She knows about you and Scorpius now, doesn't she?" Rose asked. Like her mother almost was, she was a Ravenclaw and had no problems with the Malfoy heir.

"She does." Albus admitted.

"Come here." She held open her arms and Albus immeaditly moved to her. She hugged him as close as she could get. "Did James say anything this time?"

"No. He ignored us." Al answered.

"Which is just as well, I suppose." Rose sighed.

"Well, come into the kitchen then, boys. Dinner's almost ready and then you can tell us all about what happened." Hermione led everyone back into the kitchen. "Hugo! Come wash up!" She called out the back window to her 14 year old son.

Albus and Harry sat down to dinner with Hermione, Ron, and their family. "So, what happened this time?" Ron asked after dinner once they were in the living room again. Hugo had gone back outside and Rose was sitting with Al, an arm around his shoulders.

"Well, Ginny finally decided that it was time Al introduced us to his best mate. Turns out said best mate is Scorpius Malfoy." Hermione cringed, knowing the youngest Weasley was sure to have blown up over that. "She said, when we got back, that she thought we were staying over at Malfoy Manor for dinner and so didn't make us any."

"So wait, you went to Malfoy Manor?" Hermione asked.

"Yep. Back into that room we were first in during the war. Oh, and Draco and I have come to a truce now, by the way." He added.

"Why?" Ron demanded.

"Well, Narcissa pointed out that if Al and Scorpius were able to get along so well, why couldn't Draco and I? It made sense to both of us, so we called a truce." He shrugged and Ron nodded. It made sense, after all. "So anyway, we came here for food and your lovely company."

"But mostly food." Hermione sighed in mock annoyance, a smile on her face.

"But of course, my dear 'Mione." Harry grinned.

"So, what are you going to do now?" Rose asked. Both Potters were silent, looking at one another for the answer. "Right, so you don't know. Well, do you think she wants an apology?"

"No." Harry answered immeaditly.

"And even if she did, I'm not apologizing for having friends in my own House." Albus insisted.

"Albus, she's your mother." Rose looked over at him.

"I know that. But if I apologize for that, it's like admitting I'm not a good enough son for her, and I should be." He looked down at his hands. "But no, James is better. James is perfect." He added softly.

"Albus! James is not better than you, he is different than you. Each of you has his own strengths and abilities." Hermione insisted before Harry could even open his mouth to say nearly the same thing.

"Besides, who has higher marks? Who has gotten to the snitch first every time you've played against each other? Most importantly, who has loyal friends? You know Scorpius isn't friends with you because of your name." Harry added. James had found out that his friends were all friends with him because his father is THE Harry Potter. They had ditched him when they realized that Harry was just like any other father.

"He's right you know." Ron stated. "I may not've been the biggest fan of Malfoy in school, but I do realize that not all Slytherins are evil. After all, you're a Slytherin."

"Thanks guys. That doesn't change the fact that Mum's pissed at us though." Al, though feeling a lot better about being friends with Scorpius, brought them back to the original problem.

"I think we'll just have to wait this one out, Al. There's not much else we can do." Harry sighed. The two of them left for their own home an hour or so later.

"Hello Harry." Teddy and Victorie were just leaving the house. "She's still worked up into a state, in case you wanted to know." Teddy informed his godfather.

"I am proud of you for telling them, Al. Even though it's turning out like this."

"Thanks, Vic." She hugged Al.

"I'm sorry we didn't get to stay longer, but Grams is expecting us, so we have to run." They said their good-byes and Teddy and Victorie Apperated away.

"Go running back to the Malfoys, did you?" Ginny spat the name like it was poison.

"Ginny, I told you we were going to Ron and Hermione's house. We had dinner there, chatted for a bit, and came home." Harry tried to calm his wife.

"Why don't you just run off and live with them? I know you'll end up evil, just like the rest of Slytherin." Ginny turned her anger to her son for the first time. Albus was stunned speechless.

"Ginny! How can you say that to your own son?"

"He's no son of mine." She spat, turned on her heel, and went upstairs.

"Albus,...." But he was already making his way to his room. Albus packed a bag quickly and left the house.

"I'm going to my friend's house, Dad." And he left without another word.
