The Grand Tour
Draco was looking up at him. His hands were on his hips and his mouth...oh his mouth, was ever so close to his nether region. Draco's hot breath made his toe curls and caused sweat to break out over his entire body.
Ron awoke with a start as he heard his phone ring. He let out a frustrated sigh when he realized that his image of Draco had been a dream. Well, at least the sweat wasn't part of the dream, Ron realized as he threw the blankets off his sweat-drenched body.
He reached for the phone on the fifth ring and answered with an annoyed, "Hello?"
"Good morning sir. This is your five o' clock wake up call," a voice said in heavily accented English.
"I didn't ask for a wake up call," Ron practically yelled through the receiver," and I'd like to get back to sleep now. Thank you very much." And with that Ron slammed the phone down.
Great. Now he would never be able to go back to sleep.
He reluctantly got out of bed and headed for the shower, muttering under his breath about hotels and wake up calls.
The shower washed the last bits of tiredness from him head. What was he going to do at five o'clock in the morning in Rome? Well, he'd just have to find out.
He left the hotel with no particular plan for the day. Wasn't that what a vacation was all about?

It turned out that bakeries were among the few places open during the wee hours of the morning and he stopped by one not far from his hotel. Ron ordered a Bavarian creme scone and made his way to one of the many empty tables.
"So," a voice behind Ron said,"how did you like your five o'clock wake up call?"
Ron turned and spotted Draco. Something in his stomach did a flip. "Why I oughta...that was you? I should have known."
"I just thought we could get a head start on Rome before the tourists were out and about," Draco explained while wickedly grinning.
"You better be glad that I'm too nice to beat you up," Ron said with a teasing smile on his face. His stomach did a crazy little dance when he thought of 'beating' Draco.
"I'm terrified, Weasley. Shaking in my boots," Draco teased back. "Come on. Carpe diem, Ron. Seize the day." He threw his arm around Ron's shoulder and steered him toward the street."I'm going to show you everything Rome has to offer," Draco finished grandly with a sweep of his arm.
Ron wondered what that 'showing' included.

They spent the day leisurely exploring Rome. And Ron discovered they had more in common than he thought. They had their avoidance of family, Quidditch, cheese, and their dislike of reading. Along with many other things.
Ron found himself eying Draco whenever he had the opportunity. He admired his straight, well-muscled back. His firm, strong hands...those same hands that had been on his hips. That same full and adorable mouth that had been so close...
"Hey, Ron. Did you hear me? I said we should go get some dinner," Draco said as he waved hand in front of Ron's face.
"Oh...oh yeah. Yeah, that sounds great. I'm ravenous," Ron said after he realized he had been day dreaming. About Draco. He had to watch himself. He wasn't behaving in a very civil manner.
He hurried after Draco telling himself that he wasn't going to check out his bum the entire way.
Author's Note: Good? Bad? Mediocre? Let me know. Sorry if it's a little short.
