The Search
Chapter 3: The Search
Disclaimer: *bored voice* I don’t own any of the characters you recognise… they all belong to J.K. Rowling… I only own any characters you may not recognise…

Search parties were sent out through the Wizarding World. Aurors, Order Members, friends and acquaintances alike all did their best to look for Harry, though none of them were successful.
Various spells, charms and enchantments were put in place to try and locate him but for all the good they did, Harry may as well have disappeared off the face of the planet or, and this was a thought nobody wanted to face, he may as well have died.
Hogwarts staff and even the senior students had taken to searching every part of the Forbidden Forest in the hopes that they might find him but, alas, he was not where they had left him nor could any of the animals lead them to wherever he was.
With each day, week and month that passed, the search for Harry Potter, Saviour of the Wizarding World, seemed to grow more futile.
With every death or disappearance mentioned in the newspaper, hope grew that Harry would come save them all somehow but as the numbers escalated and no help appeared to be coming, the wizarding world resigned itself to finally set all their resources upon trying to fight for themselves but with exhausted and injured fighters being their only hope, every day seemed to drag past in a never ending cycle.
It seemed to everyone that the only way they would ever see Harry Potter again was if somebody stumbled upon him accidentally, and chances of that were not high at all.
But one thing was certain – after what had happened to Harry, the Wizarding World, in the midst of another war, had turned its efforts into being more tolerant as a society. Laws were slowly being changed so that gay couples may have more freedom and less discrimination. More couples had come out of hiding and, slowly, very slowly, people started to accept them. But, again, none of this brought Harry back.
In fact, no one from the Wizarding World would see hide or hair of Harry Potter for another nine years.

A/N: Hm… again, sorry for the extremely short chapter… this chapter was sort of a prologue into what is going to come and it just didn’t seem right to add that stuff in this chapter but no worries, I will try to update again soon to make up for it!
