A/N I do not own Harry Potter or any of the characters. Please don't sue!
Time passed so quickly for the Trio. Sunday morning found them in the Library doing their homework assignments.
Unfortunately the peace did not last because in walked Draco, followed by Crabbe, Goyle and Pansy. They sat at the table on the other side of the room from the trio, pulled out their assignments and began working quietly, occasionally speaking when they asked Draco a question on the work they didn't understand.
Ron went red with anger when he saw Malfoy arrive but didn't say anything.
Hermione watched Malfoy for a few moments before continuing her work.
"I wonder what Ferrets doing here," Ron stated angrily.
"It's a public place Ronald. He is allowed here," Hermione stated as she wrote her essay.
"Of course you'd stick up for him. I'm going to sort him out. Come on Harry," Ron said as he stood up.
Harry sat there and shook his head.
"We are not children anymore Ron just leave them be, they aren't hurting anyone," Harry stated.
"YOU STICKING UP FOR THEM AS WELL! HAVE YOU GUYS TURNED INTO SLYTHERIN LOVERS?" Ron yelled which got the attention of everyone.
Hermione hid her head in her hands.
"Ron either sit down or leave, that is not acceptable behaviour for a library so stop being rude," Harry snapped.
Ron went bright red before stuffing his gear in his bag and storming out of the Library, slamming the door on the way out.
The Library was absolutely silent as they recovered from the shock of the outburst.
The Slytherins were watching the duo. Harry glanced up and met Pansys gaze, she gave him a small smile before getting back to her work.
Hermione watched Harry continuously glancing at Pansy from then on and grinned.
Time in the Library passed quickly and soon it was lunchtime.
Harry and Hermione headed down to the Great Hall together after they had put their bags in their dorms.
"That was an interesting scene at the Library," a quiet voice said from behind Hermione and Harry. They turned around quickly and were met by Draco.
"What do you want Malfoy?" Hermione snapped.
"Nothing. Calm down Hermione," Draco replied.
It did not register straight away and then Hermione let out a gasp which earned a questioning look from Draco.
"You... You said Hermione," Hermione whispered.
"Well that is your name isn't it?" Draco asked smirking.
Hermione gave him a small smile.
"I want to thank you, thank both of you for sticking up for us at the Library. Pansy thinks you are brilliant Potter," Draco stated.
Harry blushed but said nothing.
"Yes well Ronald needn't be so childish," Hermione stated with a sniff.
Harry laughed which got Hermione smiling.
They walked along the corridor unknown to them they were being watched, gray eyes flashed menacingly as the person saw Draco converse with his companions.
Arriving at the Great Hall Hermione and Harry went in first and Draco minutes later.
Ron glared at Harry and Hermione but didn't speak to them.
Everyone looked at the trio curiously but everyone was too frightened to ask questions. Lunch was a rather sombre affair for all.
