Hey guys here is chapter three again.... Happy reading ~Ivy
‘She was really going to have to stop doing that.’ Draco thought. If you really got down to it he didn’t even like the girl. He didn’t hate her; he realized he never really had, so now they were just roommates. Glancing around his room to make sure both doors were closed he scolded himself, ‘Just admit it.’
She had grown up over the summer, and she was so cute when she was mad. She had a way of being disarmingly beautiful. Had things been different he might have made a play for her, but things were the way they were.
Back to the problem at hand, he couldn’t sleep with her. She may be the only virgin in the equation, but she wouldn’t be the only one to become emotionally attached. Draco had had a lot of sex in his life, with more then a few women, but it was never cheep meaningless sex. Pansy had been his first.
They fumbled through well enough their first time in fifth year. There had been women after her, a fair few, but they all had a place in his heart. Some had a bigger place then others, but a place none the less. He slept with some of them because they had both needed to see what it would be like with each other, some because they had show such compassion in times of need, and more then a few Slytherins, because they had needed Draco to show them how it could be.
Well, Hermione was all of those things, all his reasons. He didn’t want to look back at his past and always see her, not in that respect. He could see her during his days with the Order, but not intimately. Oh who was he kidding? He had a crush on her since third year. Well, back then it had started out as a crush. By seventh year it was bordering on obsession.
There was something about a woman who knew you thought she was miles beneath you, but still she stood up to you. Hell, she had landed a damn good right cross on his jaw. He had been thirteen and he had never looked at another woman the same way again.
He had in fact offered to take her virginity. As much as he would like to he just couldn’t let her be that important. There were other things that needed to be done. He had the Malfoy name to rebuild; he had to make sure the different endeavors of Malfoy Enterprises were running smoothly. Not to mention finding a wife and creating an heir. A child Draco corrected. His father would have thought of offspring as heirs, to keep the bloodline going.
The things Draco had to do would be of no interest to her. She wouldn’t want to be a wife and a mother right out of school. She would want to further her education, and she had a right to. He wanted her to; she was too smart to give that chance up. If she wanted him, he would make it as painless and enjoyable for her as possible. He would make and accept no promises.

Hermione snuck into her former common room and made a beeline for the sixth year dorms. She found Ginny doing her homework with some classmates. As much as it pained Hermione to interrupt their work she ordered them out of the room.
“Out, now, you stay Ginny.” Hermione said sitting down on the young girl’s bed.
“What’s up M?” Ginny could see the war of emotion across the head girls face.
“Draco took my virginity.” Ginny stared dumbfounded. “He didn’t, not yet. I think he might though. I just wanted to hear what it would sound like.”
When Ginny found her voice she asked, “What makes you think he will?”
“He told me he would if I wanted him to.”
“Well, kind of takes all the guess work out of courting doesn’t it? Do you want him to?”
“I don’t know. He said some things that really made me think. He asked if I would be comfortable comparing every man after to him. That I would always think of him, he would have a place in my heart.” Hermione finished her sentence looking down at Ginny’s comforter.
“He will always have a place in your heart. He has one in most of ours. Try as we all might to hate him, he makes it difficult. He took pressure off all of us we he picked sides. You were there when his father was killed. For Merlin’s sake he was the one who shielded Ron when Malfoy Sr. attacked us.”
“He’s like mold,” Hermione joked. “He grows on you.”
“It doesn’t hurt that he is very easy on the eyes. I mean you could do worse.”
“I don’t even know if I want to do anything at all. When Harry and your brother start talking about girls it makes me want to jump up and do a table dance! I mean ‘hello, female in the conversation!’”
“Think about this, if when you graduate and move off into the world will you talk to Draco? If you walk out these doors and you drift apart over time will you think of him? Will you without having to be reminded by paper or someone dropping names?” Ginny waited for a response.
“I don’t know. Maybe I will once in a while.”
“Now suppose every time you went on a date, or had drunken bar sex, you thought back to him. Not always in comparison, but thought of him none the less. How would you feel then?”
“Was the sex good the first time?” Hermione joked.
“It’s Draco Malfoy, of course it was good.”
“I don’t think that I would mind. I’m not entirely sure.”
“Well, I suggest you get sure. You will remember him, the extent of how much and how fondly, have a lot to do with the sex, the rest have to do with how much you already care for him.”
“How did you get so wise Ginny?”
“Living with mom helped, so did sleeping with Harry.”
“WHAT?”
“He had saved my life more then once. It was right before the finial battle. I knew he would always and forever be a staple in my life. I also knew he would be gentle with me.”
