Secondsies
Sound familiar?
"Draco, hurry up! We're gonna leave in a carriage without you." Dillyn walked into the train car, Draco standing over a bloodied Harry.
"I'm coming, don't get your knickers in a twist." He smirked, tossing the invisibility cloak over Harry before leaving the car.
"Where could he have snuck off to?" Lane came down the walk way just as Draco Malfoy and her twin, Dillyn, were leaving one of the cars. Dillyn looked back, seeing Lane. She raised an eyebrow, tilting her head towards the car she had just left, then stepped off the train.
Just then, Ron and Hermione, as well as Ginny came up behind her. "I think Harry's in here, let's go." The four stepped into the car, Ron nearly tripping over the invisible Harry, the cloak sliding down enough to show a foot. Ginny grabbed the edge of the cloak, pulling it from Harry's petrified body. Hermione gasped, unfreezing him. "Harry! My god! What happened? You're bleeding!"
Harry sat up, holding part of his oversized shirt to his nose. "Malboy. 'Ee did dis." Ron stopped laughing at Harry's muffled voice just long enough to make a threat against Malfoy. Harry stared at Lane, eyes narrowed with distaste. "She was wit 'im."
Hermione looked at Harry in a skeptical way. "Have you gone mad? She's been with us this whole time."
Harry picked himself up off the floor. "It was her." He pulled the shirt away from his nose, the bleeding had stopped. "I'm sure of it. I don't know how, but it was her. She could have used a time turner for all we know."
They all filed out of the train, heading towards the carriage, Lane keeping her distance from a very hostile Harry. Lane climbed into a separate carriage and Ron went with her.
"Hey, you don't want to ride with us?"
She shook her head. "Well, Harry still seems a bit sore at me, plus there's not enough room in the carriage for all of us." She pointed to Harry, Hermione, Ginny, and Neville. "That's a whole carriage of people right there."
He nodded. "I see your point. Do you mind if I ride up with you then?" He blushed, the pink going all the way up to his freckled ears.
She smiled. "Sure."
"Miss Morgan, come with me." Snape was staring Lane straight in the face. No sooner had the carriage arrived at Hogwarts then Snape had ripped open the door and started barking inside, interjecting on Lane and Ron's conversation."What? Why, Professor?" Snape glared at Ron before leaning in closer, whispering in her ear. "You are to be introduced separately, after the sorting ceremony, so you are to follow me. Any other questions, or would you like me to take points away from your House for insubordination?!" His voice rose, getting louder on the last sentence, some third years startled by the sudden shouting.
Lane shook her head. "No, I'm sorry Professor Snape." She smiled at Ron. "Looks like we part here. I'll catch up with you later." She waved as Snape led her away.
"There you are!" Dillyn ran over to Lane, hugging her. "Isn't this fantastic? I've been having so much fun and met a lot of cool people. I'll introduce them to you later at the feast."
Lane pulled away from her sister. "Where have YOU been?! I was looking all over for you. You were supposed to meet back up with me on the train!" She sighed, exasperated, sliding down onto the floor. "If this is how the first day is, I don't think I'll live out the year."
