BEFORE in chapter 2......

“Where are we Harry?” Hermione asked. The room they landed in was a barren room, with no distinct markings or any other clues as to where they were.

Harry smirked. His green eyes smiling and arms open wide in a grand flourish, “Welcome, my friends to Avalon!”

“Oh bloody hell,” Ron Weasley said as he slid to the floor in a dead faint along with Sirius Black.

Harry walked over and looked at the unconscious men. Some things never changed.

Now on with the story...

"Avalon?"...."THE AVALON? As in where King Arthur is burried Avalon?" Hermione asked wide eyed.

"Yes."

Harry watched as Hermione's eyes widened and then roll back as she slumped to the floor.

"My friend," Edwardo started, "You have a way with people."

Harry smirked, "Don't I?"

"Time is of the essense, Eneto. We must move fast." Harry turned from the room to the door where a man stood. The same man who took in a ragmuffin of an orphan all those years ago.

He was a man by the name of Gregori Garaguso who took him in when the Goblins sent him back through time. The big man took a boy who was out of place in the world and with himself and gave him a place to belong. From there he left behind Harry Potter and became Eneto Alejandro Santiago. Finishing his magical schooling, which extended through to university was a challenge.

But he met it head on. He didn't have to worry about abusive relatives or having his things locked up for the summer, not being fed, or being treated like a house elf. He could be a child. A boy. He could be himself-who he would never have had a chance to be-in the other world.

He was free. He had a second chance.

Gregori was a good man. He encouraged Eneto at every turning point--including Uni. When he graduated, with a Masters in Potions and in the Top Ten of the Cadets of the Academy two years later, it was the big bear of a man who showered him with praise. He reveled in the care and affection he had been so starved for in his previous existence.

Gregori was the man that Eneto dubbed his Papa.

There were times when he missed his Godfather, but Eneto knew that fate had other plans.

Shaking his head slightly from the memories, "Yes, Papa." Harry looked to his friend. "Take them to the commons till we return."

"Where are you going Eneto?" Severus asked as he stalked forward. He was not ready to let Eneto.... Potter out of his sight yet. He wanted answers to the questions that kept growing in his mind. The first and foremost in his mind...Were the times they shared nothing but a joke to Harry Potter?

Grasping Eneto's sleeve, he pulled him back to face him. "I have questions before you disappear again."

Eneto fixed him with a piercing gaze, as he grabs Severus’ wrist. "Don't say anything and don't ask questions yet. All will be explained in due time. Agreed?"

Severus swallowed. "Agreed."

Severus followed Harry out of the portkey room down long and winding halls. Down stairs, finally stopping at a large iron door. He found himself in the armoury where others were in various stages of dress. Both men and women.

"Are they all wizards?" Severus asked in a low tone as he watched Harry pull things down from the wall and from cubby holes. The dark man watched as Harry pulled off his trench coat and set it aside.

"Muggles, Witches, Were's of all flavors and couple of Vampires. The sword chooses. He calls and we answer."

Harry pulled out a set of gauntlets and strapped them on his forearms. A
mail tunic joined the attire before being covered with black battle robes.

"How long?"

"Ten years." Harry worked quickly putting a set of daggers into his boots and scattering more around his body. "Severus, I know you have a lot of questions and is feeling decieved, but I was under an oath. I could not reveal who I was or what happened. The first time you met me as Eneto, I was only 13 or 14 years old on this timeline. Would you have believed me?"

"No, especially since you don't have the scar any longer."

Harry looked up at Severus through curls that had fallen over into his face, his eyes shining, "Actually, I do. The goblins moved it. It's on my shoulder and covered by a tattoo."

'Oh,' Severus thought. He knew that tattoo. They spent a very long weekend together snow bound in the Italian Alps. They had gone skiing with a group of other wizards and witches. It was that weekend that Severus became adicted to Eneto.

The one person he kept coming back to all these years.

"You have alot to answer for, Albus," Minerva began. "I realize you feel
you did it all for the greater good, but why?"

'It had to be done. Potter living with the muggles, made him appreciate
what he would be fighting for."

"And that would be what, Headmaster. He grew up with magic-hating muggles, just like the Dark Lord." Arthur stated sarcastically. "All I can see coming out of your grand plan is another Dark Lord. How that did not happen, I don't know. But the Gods and Goddesses must have been watching over Harry."

Poppy was watching the old conniver with keen eyes. Then it all came together in her mind. "You made sure his relatives never crossed the line. Kept him downtrodden enough to embrace what waited for him at the beginning of each school year."

Minerva stood up and began pacing, "Only you made sure he was tested. Each school year was a test of his endurance, courage and strength."

“Tell me, Albus, were you aware of Lily’s relationship to me? That she was family, making me direct family to Harry as well?” She glared at him, waiting for his answer. Something that had been bothering her ever since Lily’s death and Harry’s placement with those awful Muggles, despite his parents’ wishes.

The old wizard fixed her with a domineering stare, the twinkle absent from the cold blue eyes.

"It did not matter, Harry needed to learn. His greatest power is love. He had to learn heartache and pain to be able to weild his greatest weapon against, Tom Riddle."

"A regular life in the wizarding world, not to mention growing up without his parents, would have taught him enough heartache, you old fool!" It was all she could do not to strike him. How could anyone harm an innocent child like this? She just could not fathom such cruelty. Nothing could justify it in her heart.

Albus stood up from behind his desk to tower over those still in his office, "If he had grown up in YOUR family, he would have grown up coddled. Pampered. He. Had. To. Learn!"

Molly slammed her hands on his desk, glaring daggers at him, as Arthur attempted to calm her. Ignoring her husband, she raised her voice. "My children are not coddled! I've raised strong, determined, and independent sons and a daughter. If that's coddled, then so be it. I'm guilty as charged, but you are still a fool for what you have done!"

"Albus," Arthur began, "You've made some grievious mistakes concerning Harry. You took a child and thought nothing more of him being a weapon to wield. For what you did to him and now with this new knowledge, I can not and will not forgive you."

Molly was fuming, her complexion as red as her hair. "When... IF and when this damn war is over, I never want to see or hear from you again, Albus Dumbledore. Never contact my family or send letters to the Weasley's. As long as YOU are the Headmaster of this school, our family will neither attend nor set foot within it’s walls."

Pain and hatred reflected in her eyes as tears coursed down her cheeks. It was something no one had ever seen in the loving woman's eyes, and it made Arthur and Minerva's blood run cold.

“Stay out of my sight Albus Dumbledore, or I will not be responsible for what I hex you into.” With that said, she turned nodded to Minerva and stalked from the room.

Arthur threw an angry look over his shoulder at Albus, before patting Minerva's shoulder and following his wife. Minerva watched them go, then heaved a sigh of disgust as she crossed her arms and glared silently at the foolish man in front of her.

When Harry finished dressing, Severus was impressed. He looked like a monk, but underneath were enough weapons and battle gear to keep the young man safe. He followed the man down another series of hallways and corridors until they reached an ordinary door, flanked by two guards. "Here is where I leave you for now, Severus. The others are inside waiting. All will be explained when I have returned."

Severus wanted to protest. He could and should be allowed to fight the Death Eaters, but one look at the hard green eyes and the set of Eneto’s chin spoke differently.

"I should give a token protest, Eneto."

Harry sighed and ran fingers through the tousled hair. "And I would expect nothing less from you, Severus. But you must stay. Let us do what must be done, and when we return, all will be explained. Only then, will you understand why I came back."

"You speak riddles, Eneto."

Harry reached out and ran a long finger down a pale cheek, over soft lips. "I will return." He walked away in billowing brown monks robes. Severus watched his retreating back until he disappeared around a corner.

One of the guards held the door open, and the dour Potions Master stepped through to the sounds of loud voices and arguing.

"Severus! Where have you been? Where is Harry?" Hermoine had been frantic since she was woken up from her brief fainting spell.

Severus sat down in one of the brown leather couches that littered the comfortable room. Everyone remained silent as they watched the tall dark man, waiting for him to explain.

"How long have you known Eneto, Severus?" Lucius asked from his seat, beside Remus Lupin.

"Yes, you seem quite... comfortable with him," Remus added, a glint of humor in his eyes..

"It seems my godfather...." Draco began, "knows Potter quite well."

Severus sent a withering glare at his godson, for the cheek.

Draco just snorted, accustomed as he was to the mercurial man’s moods.

"What I want to know," Ron began, "is how we can be in a mythical place. No wizard has ever been able to find any evidence Avalon has actually ever existed."

"Merlin said it existed, Ron." Hermione added, with a gentle lecturing tone.

"Don't start, Hermione."

She returned his glare full-force. "Legend says, that Avalon was part of the Roman's Hadrian Wall. Or that it was part of Glastonbury Abby."

Draco patted her on the back, "That's my girl."

She smiled warmly at the blond wizard next to her, "Needless to say, Ron, there are many myths and legends that have yet to be proven. King Arthur. Some say he didn't exist but we know he did."

"Back to the subject at hand," Lucius began, "Eneto.. or Potter. How did you two meet?"

"Potions Convention in Italy five years ago. We attended the same lecture concerning improvements to the Wolfsbane Potion. We discussed ways on easing the transformation from man to wolf."

"And?" Draco asked. He knew there was more from the slight flush of Severus' face.

Sirius watched the color creep into Severus’ face and frowned as it dawned on him. "You, and my Godson?"

Severus folded his arms across his chest and turned to face his childhood enemy. "Black… I didn't know he was your Godson. We have been looking for a twenty year old man… not thirty-four. A young man with a scar…green eyes, not brown…black hair not auburn… Forgive me for not being a powerful enough wizard to see through magic stronger than even Albus’!!” He snapped.

Remus started chuckling, "He's been hidding right in front of us this entire time."

"How very Slytherin of him," Lucius drawled.

"How come he didn't come back with you?" Hermione asked.

"The Dark Lord and his Death Eaters are planning on attacking Glastonbury Abby tonight. He's looking for something."

"Well it seems the Brotherhood knows what he's searching for. It would be nice to know what it was!" Ron sat back in the chair. He hated not knowing what was going on.

"I think we will soon find out, Mr. Weasley. Eneto has promised when they return that he will explain everything to us." And to me, Severus added to himself.

Harry and his brethren stood side by side, among the ruins of the Abbey, waiting for the arrival of Voldemort. They had set up traps all around the area. Tom Riddle would be walking into a surprise he wasn't looking for. Not that he would get what he wanted on this night. The monks’ scrolls had not been kept at this place in five hundred years.

As for where they were kept at, only one place would the safetest, Avalon. Riddle didn't realize how close he was to the actual Avalon. Glastonbury was the portal to the island. The mysts kept the Isle hidden to the naked eye. The Brotherhood would die before the Evil known as Voldemort stepped a foot on the Isle.

Riddle had made a mistake by destroying one of their own two weeks ago. Did he think that by killing Samuel, that the Brotherhood would not do anything. That they would step back and let him run rough shod over them. He was greatly mistaken.

It was the cracking sound of apparition, in the distance that alerted them to Voldemort's arrival. Let the games begin. And as the white masked men made their way towards the inner walls of the Glastonbury Abby, alarms were going off across the land, including Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic.

As the two factions came closer together, misty fog rose up from the ground, secluding them from the world. It was only the Brotherhood and the Death Eaters this night, vengeance in their hearts as they raised swords and bows. Wands ready to strike down the enemy on this night.

Power crackled through the night air as they made their stand on holy ground. Blessed by the gods of Magic and Christians over the centuries.

Eneto raised his sword. Steel gleaming in the moonlight. A sword that been raised in battle by King Arthur himself. Excalibur. Pulled from his father's grave. Passed down from the Lady of the Lake to each Heir.

An Heir called by the Round Table of old. Chosen pure of heart and brave as the lion. Chosen, the blood Heir of King Arthur and Lancelot du Lac, a Sarmation Knight.

In the distance, among the ruins, a trap set by one of the Brethren was sprung. The cries of injured Death Eaters were heard. "Release!" Eneto ordered and a wave of arrows flew from taut bows.

The first battle of Britian had begun.
