Act I Scene III

“Hermione! Do you know where Ginny is? Get her for me, please,” called Mrs. Weasley from her room.
“Ginny? Ginny! Where are you?! Great merlin I do not have time for this!” Hermione called, muttering under her breath.
“What do you want?”
“Your mother wants to speak to you.” Ginny sighed.
“What do you want, mother?”
“You are nearly fourteen, my dear. What do you think of marriage?” Mrs. Weasley asked. Ginny raised her eyebrows.
“Not something I dream of, mother,” Ginny said, crossing her arms.
“I’m glad, you shouldn’t be thinking of marriage so young! There is so much more women can do were they not tied down by their husbands,” Hermione said. Mrs. Weasley waved her hands in impatience.
“You must think of it now, Ginny. Girls much younger than you have already become mothers. I was even married younger than you are now. To be brief, strapping Oliver Wood has asked your hand in marriage.”
“Oliver Wood?” Hermione exclaimed, “He’s quite the catch! I must say, Ginny, you have done well for yourself.” Ginny looked back and forth at them, biting her lip.
“What do you think, Ginny? Would you marry him? As Hermione said, he’s quite the catch, so handsome and intelligent. And he’s on a famous Quidditch team! It would be such an honor to be his wife, my dear. He’ll be at the party tonight, just talk to him. I’m sure you’ll find him enchanting,” Mrs. Weasley said, winking.
“Indeed,” said Hermione.
“So, do you think you can grow to love Oliver?”
“I’ll look at him tonight I guess and get back to you. I don’t know, mother,” Ginny said, shrugging. Molly Weasley smiled at her daughter.
“Come, Ginny, the party awaits!” she said
“Go seek happy days and happy nights,” Hermione said.
