----------------------------------------------------
Cedric breathed out in thought, stroking his chin with a thumb as he leaned back against the most secluded wall he could find. Dragons. Dragons? As in fire-breathing, ten-ton, claws-the-size-of-oak-trees dragons? Could Potter really be telling the truth about that, or was he just pulling his leg in retaliation—out of spite? …No, that didn’t really seem like Harry. Harry wasn’t reputed to be a snide little lying rodent like that Malfoy boy, but rather the opposite as to the best of his knowledge. But dragons! And Harry had been so nonspecific. Was he to fight one? Kill one? He felt a tad dizzy.
But no—no, he refused to worry so much over it. He knew when he signed up for this tournament that the tasks would be dangerous. Maybe he hadn’t suspected dragons, but…well, why shouldn’t he have? He was not a coward. Drawing his eyes across the schoolyard, he curiously followed Harry’s exit, brow furrowing slightly in concern at the students who snapped and snickered at him along his way, only to turn with giggles and insults once he had passed. Most of the student body was being awfully hard on him. He was beginning to believe less and less that Harry had anything to do with his placement in the challenge, which made him feel rather low about his own thoughts. It must’ve been awful to have the entire school hate you. There had already been a certain number of students who spoke ill-will towards Harry since before this incident, and now Cedric worried that perhaps he would never recover from this.
Cedric looked up as he heard his name mentioned, shrinking away a little as he noticed a group of his friends looking around for him. Bah, he was too tired to deal with their antics right now. He didn’t quite feel up to explaining what he had been talking about with Harry and he didn’t much want to spread the news of the first challenge. Carefully turning away from them, Cedric rounded the corner and hid in an abandoned area on the other side of the wall, from where he could see no students. There would be questions later, but so long as he could get a few moments of peace before he had to come up with some excuses, he was happy. What exactly was he supposed to say Harry had pulled him aside for, anyway? To talk about the weather? He sighed and let his eyes search the trees for a while.
He was quite rudely shoved out of his thought process by a sudden grip around his body, trapping him abruptly between the hard wall and the figure that had assaulted him. In his distracted state, he didn’t even have to sense to shove away or exclaim his outrage, but he fancied himself lucky that he hadn’t as he recognized the person as Viktor. “Oh! Viktor.” He rather squeaked, pinned by a larger set of arms. He chuckled nervously and wriggled a little. “Hello there.”
“Hello Cedric.” he said in a deep purr, plucking the glove off of one hand so that he could run it over the thinner boy’s cheek.
Cedric couldn’t help a shiver, a wry smile appearing on his face. “Well now how did you find me? I was just trying to keep out of the public eye, so to speak.” He stiffened in surprise as he felt lips at his neck.
“You did not let me…thank you, last night.” Viktor imparted softly as he gently mouthed against his pulse.
“Oh didn’t I?” Cedric feigned ignorance, eyes half closing and fingers twitching in excitement. He hadn’t expected this.
“Mm.” Viktor gave his usual vague response and pulled back, still tracing his fingers along the side of Cedric’s face.
Cedric grinned back at him, unsure as to exactly where this encounter was supposed to lead. He didn’t have much time to consider, however, as he found Viktor drawing in and touching lips along his. Hesitating for a moment or two and blinking in astonishment, Cedric mentally floundered. Viktor’s lips were strong and inviting, his body a comforting source of heat in an otherwise frigid environment. Cedric sank a little against the wall, eyes closing and a chaste moan escaping from his lungs. He couldn’t help but enjoy it. Taking this as being received well, Viktor circled one arm tightly around his waist and kissed with twice his previous conviction.
“Oh…well!” Cedric panted light-headedly when his lips were free, limbs heavy and left at the mercy of his friendly attacker.
“I have been thinking about you this morning.” Viktor said, stealing smaller kisses along his lower lip and chin. “And I think you are very…very…cute.”
“Cute?” Cedric partially sneered. “Come on, then! Not handsome? Rugged? Achingly sexy?” he waggled his eyebrows.
Viktor laughed quietly. “…I think, cute. But I like cute.”
Cedric’s eyes traveled down to the arm around his frame as Viktor nuzzled him in search of another kiss. “Alright…cute’s alright then.”
Viktor found what he was looking for and claimed it, pressing Cedric’s body back into the wall. Their kissing quickly went from demure suckling and nibbling to oxygen-depriving tongue swallows, making Cedric dizzy and helpless, but relentlessly aroused and needy. He tried to move his arms around him, but he found them rather paralyzed, only making it as far as Viktor’s ribs with his best efforts. He already knew there was trouble when he felt the familiar throbbing between his legs just below where Viktor’s hand was resting. He just couldn’t bring himself to mention it—until he noted the other hand slipping downward and begin flicking gently at his belt.
“Viktor—“ Cedric heaved, nearly gasping for breath and eyes darting around. “W-wait, I-I really don’t think it’s such a good idea to do—that, here.”
“You mean instead of common room?” Viktor panted slightly in a thick tone. He slid his hand down further despite this protest.
“…You’ve got a point. But—mercy—“ Cedric’s eyes widened as he suddenly found the heat of the fingertips that had crawled into his clothes against his bare waist. “—well…maybe…if…if we’re very quick and quiet about it!” he hissed out in a whisper.
“Is up to you.” Viktor smirked and managed to undo Cedric’s belt at that moment, delving a hand palm-first into his pants.
Cedric sucked in a breath as his head fell back against the wall, eyes clenching shut and legs threatening to give for a brief moment. Years of catching an evasive snitch had given Viktor’s fingers a sinuous refinement that left them useful in oh so many other tasks. He hadn’t imagined that by playing one little less than innocent game with Viktor the other night he would awaken such a beast, but he felt it rather in order to pat himself on the back. He must have uttered something in appreciation, because in the next moment, Viktor was hushing him.
“Sh-sh…don’t want to draw crowd, do you?” he grinned and stroked Cedric’s cheek as his lower hand preformed a more strenuous job.
Shaking his head, Cedric accepted another kiss as a method of silence, the throbbing in his groin having increased tenfold under the influence. The euphoric heat of skin against skin made him forget the cold entirely, even with his erection and a bit of his waist and stomach exposed directly to the winter air. His mind was lost following the motions. Back and forth, back and forth, a soft squeeze now and then, a small grope along the way…he wanted to say something, but he couldn’t find anything worth speaking. His pace was perfect and his touches left nothing to want, and so the only word that came to mind sensible enough to utter was a long moan of… “…Viktor…”
Viktor grumbled endearingly in reply with what Cedric wasn’t entirely sure had been English, hands moving skillfully on his body. Cedric’s breath was becoming almost frantic, caught between gasping at the sensations Viktor’s hand was providing, the tight space of their proximity, and the long wet kisses blocking off his airway. He was completely intoxicated, pawing at Viktor’s front as if in confusion as to where he was to place his hands. He couldn’t possibly be expected to think straight. He whimpered as he felt his orgasm approaching, gathering at the base of him, building steadily, hot liquid pooling up and slowly coursing up the shaft towards the tip…He was urgent to expel it, lest it burn him. He was close. He was so close…
“Ah!” Cedric yelped once in a funny pitch, his muscles tightening and his throat constricting. In the next moment, he felt like he’d slammed into a wall broom-first. Every part of him froze stone still, followed by a violent, bone-wracking shudder and what would have been a gasp had he any air. His cheeks felt hot and he knew they were red, his fingers tangled in the front of Viktor’s robes so tightly that he was sure he actually heard one of his knuckles crack. For that exquisite stretch of time, the world lost its color and the need to breathe became subservient, the previously prominent individuality of Viktor’s coaxing fingers blurred into one harmonious chorus. At last the binds on his muscles were lifted, his shoulders falling slack as he drew in heavy gasps of breath, leaning into the wall.
Viktor had a pleased smile on his face, slowly drawing his hand away to brush the streaks of fluid off of Cedric’s clothes before they had a chance to dry and depositing the discharge onto the wall beside them carelessly. “Good, Cedric?”
“Yes…” Cedric panted with a grin. He closed his eyes as he felt fingers threading through his hair, distracting him while the other hand fixed his pants back up. When he opened them, he found Viktor gazing at him silently with unblinking eyes.
“Better hurry…” Viktor remarked quietly as he fondled the ridge of Cedric’s scarf. “Don’t want to be late for class, yes?”
“Right.” Cedric nodded in agreement, trying to shrug off his unfocused mindset, as shortly he would be forced to be thinking spells and equations.
“Now we are even, you and I.” Viktor chuckled as he brushed his cheek once more and pulled back.
“Even. Yes.” Cedric concurred distantly. His eyes traveled over Viktor’s body as he turned away, his own feeling unhappily cold without his much welcomed company. “Oh but Viktor,” he spoke out casually, at which the other eagerly turned. Cedric suppressed a snicker and gave a soft, wicked smile.
“…Yes, Cedric?” he asked curiously.
“I don’t get even…” Cedric slowly pushed himself away from the wall. “I win. Really now, I’m surprised that you think you’ve gotten off so easy.”
Viktor grinned again, looking around for a moment as though to ensure there were no passersby before he stalked back a few steps closer. “You would…see me again?”
Cedric reached out and left a gentle caress on Viktor’s chest with the back of his hand. “Of course.” He drummed his fingers against the sternum they rested upon as he thought. “Why don’t we meet…well…blast it, I don’t know when…” he paused, looking down. “Tomorrow is the first task. There’ll be all that celebratory nonsense and whatnot after it. I don’t think any of us will get a moment to ourselves. But…the night after. Perhaps right here, after hours.” His eyes quickly came back up. It was not a suggestion.
Viktor studied him with cunning gray eyes, hands at his waist where he was slipping his gloves back on. “Yes.” He replied obediently.
“So it’s settled.” Cedric licked a lip and watched his newfound playmate turn away once more, a pleasantly satisfied buzz still tingling from his head to his toes. Two nights from now…that wasn’t so bad. Though it would be a challenge itself to keep meantime glances and interactions platonic after this. Now all he had to do was hope that they both lived that long. Dragons… Oh that’s perfect, Cedric. Now we’re back on this again? Cedric rolled his eyes and scurried off towards his next class.
