Disclaimer: I do not own the world of Harry Potter, but Blessings to JKR for creating it.

Chapter 3: Good Morning Sunshine.
Sun streamed through the window and fell upon the tangle of limbs on the bed. Pale skin wrapped around bronzed. Foreheads rested against one another palest blonde hair mixing with darkest brown upon the pillows.
The alarm went off and Draco’s powerful, but still slender, pale arm reached out to silence it, before he pulled it back in to brush an unruly brown curl out of Blaise’s eyes whispering, “good morning sunshine.”
Blaise grumbled in response, he had never been a morning person. Draco’s solution to this was to reach a hand in between them.
Blaise was instantly alert and said, “Do we have time for that?”
“I set the alarm extra early but we should really try to be quieter. I don’t really feel like waking Hermione and dealing with those questions at this time of morning.” Draco replied.
“Luv, you do realize that you just called her Hermione,” Blaise teased.
“Shut it,” he snapped back.
Draco and Blaise had been inseparable pretty much since the cradle. Their mums Narcissa Malfoy and Antonia Zabini had been friends since school and would meet for coffee several times a week. Once the boys were born they would put them together on rugs in front of the fireplace and let them play together.
They had performed the blood brother ritual as soon as they were able to perform it. The progression from best friends to lovers had been sudden. The night of the final Tri- Wizard challenge, the night that Harry had brought back Cedric’s body and announced that Voldemort had returned, they had gotten separated in the chaos.
There was a room in the Dungeons where they often went if they wanted to “take off the mask” for a few hours and just be themselves and this is where they reconnected. They had hugged many times in their lives, never in public of course, but when they embraced this time something changed forever.
It was as if a wave of magic flowed off of and around them and it put out every candle in the chamber plunging them into darkness. They had both been terrified for the others safety and they clung to each other just to make sure that the other was intact and unharmed.
Neither would be able to say who had made the first move but suddenly lips and tongues met, clothing was discarded and bodies were joined and in that moment the magic flowed again and every candle in the chamber blazed to life. They were forever and irrevocably connected.
The next morning they felt slightly awkward because they had never felt that way toward a guy before, they still didn’t see any other guy that way for that matter, they very much liked girls. They chalked this new twist in their relationship up to extreme circumstances and a bond that had been forged between them while they were still in nappies. They did however agree never to discuss it with anyone else.

In the adjoining room Hermione was waking well before her alarm and the first thought that went through her head as it always did was ‘coffee, must have coffee.’
She ran her fingers through her hair which just served to make it stand out in all directions very much like it would if she stuck her finger in a socket. She grabbed a sweatshirt and headed out of her room in search of the aforementioned java.
‘That’s odd,’ she thought, ‘the couch hasn’t been slept on.’
She then heard the sound of someone in the shower and decided that Blaise must be really neat, a pleasant surprise, a Slytherin who cleans up after himself. She used her wand to get the coffee started and sat down at the table laying her head on her hands to wait as the glorious aroma of coffee filled the flat.
She should have known that this would draw Draco out of his room; his addiction to coffee was as bad, if not worse than hers. With a flick of her wrist three mugs floated over to the table along with cream, sugar and the pot of coffee.
“I guess you are good for something Granger,” Draco smirked.
Hermione made and indignant noise and his mug slid across the table to her.
“Step away from the coffee and no one gets hurt,” he threatened and flicked his own wrist bringing the coffee back to sit in front of him.
“Draco, did you hear any weird noises last night, like something thumping against the wall?” She asked him.
Draco cocked an eyebrow at the use of his first name, scrambling internally for some explanation to give her for the noises.
“It was probably the pipes, this building is very old.” Blaise said coming out of the bathroom, freshly showered and dressed in slacks, shirt and tie, ready for their first day as ministry interns. He sat down and helped himself to a mug of coffee.
