I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
The Dragon
*insert Disclaimer here* Sadly, I am not brilliant enough to invent such splendid-ness...... No, Harry Potter is not mine. The horror! *cries*
Chapter Three
The Dragon
The girl stared into the mirror, her mouth still open from the scream, but no sound coming out.
The person in the mirror could not possibly be her! She was tall and frail with straight blonde hair and blue eyes! The person she saw was curvy and proportioned her hair brown and frizzy, her eyes deep chocolate.
The girl’s mind was once again racing, but it held one overriding thought, “what the bloody hell is going on?!’
Suddenly the door swung open and a man, the dragon, stepped inside. He looked at her and visibly relaxed upon realizing she was unharmed. The girl faced him then stumbled back, pressing her back into the wall.
She slid down the wall, curling herself up as she tried to make herself as small as possible. He winced slightly as he heard her small frightened whimpers.
“I’m not going to hurt you.”
The girl looked up when the rich, soothing voice reached her ears. She looked at the man in front of her and bit her lip. “Who- who are you?”
The man smiled at her and walked over, kneeling next to her still shaking form. “My name is Draco. I’m here to help you, Hermione.”
Hermione looked at Draco, confusion in her eyes, \"But you- The family-.\" She stopped, hugging her knees to her chest. \"You killed them,\" she whispered, her eyes filled with tears. \"They hid me from you, and you... you killed them.\"
Draco looked at Hermione closely before lowering his eyes to the ground, not knowing what to say to make everything better, to make her trust him.
\"What do you want with me?\" Hermione says, gathering her confidence and wiping her eyes.
Draco\'s eyes darted back to her face, a small smile forming on his lips. \'So the fire\'s still there. Good, wouldn\'t have her any other way,\' he thought fondly.
\"To keep you safe, kitten,\" Draco finally said in a gentle voice before clearing his throat and standing. \"Are you hungry, Mia?\"
Hermione looked up at him with shining eyes, realizing \'Mia\' must be a nickname he had for her. She nodded slowly though she did not move from her curled up position.
Draco held out his hand to her, the fact that he was holding his breath going unnoticed as he watched her intently.
Hermione looked at his hand before putting her shaking one on top of it. She let him help her up, the fact that he was practically beaming going unnoticed by her.
Draco continued to hold onto her hand as he led her from the room, a smile still gracing his lips.
She was back with him and he had a second chance.
\'Only this time, I wont screw up,\' He thought resolutely, stealing a glace at her wondering face. \'And she wont escape from me again.\'

I know, I know longer chapters...... *sigh* I promise I\'ll start making them longer. Right now I\'m in a play that’s opening next week and rehearsals are demanding, plus work is piling up.
Thank you for your support! Please keep reading and telling me what you think.
Oh, wait. If there are any spelling mistakes that any of you catch, feel free to point them out to me.
Lots of love.
All for now!
