Love or Lust?

Notes:To answer some questions in my reviews the answer is no,Snape is not having sex with Bella.Yes,she is at Hogwarts for a diffrent reason and just pretending to be Snape\'s wife.Now to answer if Bella has feelings for Snape you will have to read the story!The questions about Hermione from the reviews will also be answered in this chapter.

~Chapter Three~


Hermione barely made her way up to the hospital wing without stopping into a bathroom.She opened the door faintly,as Madam Pomfrey seemed to grab her just before she collapsed onto the marble floor.She quickly rushed Hermione over to an empty bed and went to get her wand,as someone laying in another bed seemed to glare at her with a sneer across there face.Hermione looked over at the figure wearily and knew immediately who it was,as there almost white blonde hair seemed to cause a strain on her eyes.He wore the same expression he usually did before he called her a mudblood,as Hermione tried to return his evil glare with her own.He wore a twisted grin across his face as he began to open his mouth,Hermione only hoped that Madam Pomfrey would be within ear shot range to hear whatever he had to say.

\"What is wrong with you,Mudblood!Got a wittle tummy ache?\"Draco Malfoy states sneering,as Hermione glares at him feeling a bit helpless.

\"Why are you here,Malfoy?Did the bleach damage your brain more than usuall this time?\"Hermione states still in a fair bit of pain,but feeling a bit better as Draco scowls at her angerly.

\"How dare you talk to me that way!You filthy little Mudblood!\"Draco shouts angerly acting as if he is going for his wand,as Madam Pomfrey dashes over to Hermione\'s bed and draws the curtain\'s around them.

Hermione could not even imagine that Draco would think about casting a spell at her right here in the hospital wing or possibly even a curse!She shuttered at the thought as Madam Pomfrey started to exam her,remebering what Harry told her he had overheard Draco saying to some of his friends in the hall one afternoon.Harry told her that he was saying that he had an important task and that he told some of the slytherins that he would probably not finish the school year.Of course it was typical of Harry to think every one was a deatheater and Hermione just could not bring herself to beleave it.She had oveheard a conversation at the order about how \"You know who\" seemed to be after Lucious Malfoy,even though the ministry had him locked up in Azkaban.She did not exactly know why \"You know who\"would be after Lucious,but she decided to keep the information to herself even though it would probably stop Harry\'s assumptions.

As Hermione\'s thought\'s wandered from diffrent issues to Snape,Madam Pomfrey seemed to bring her back into reality as she began to speak.

\"Miss Granger,have you been eating properly?\"Madam Pomfrey asks frowning a little,as Hermione stares at her curiously.

\"My stomach has been terribly upset lately so I don\'t usually keep food down for very long.\"Hermione states staring at her nervously,as Madam Pomfrey frowns at her still.

\"How long have you been feeling this way?\"Madam Pomfrey asks curiously,as Hermione shrugs a bit.

\"I suppose a few weeks...why?\"Hermione asks hesitantly as Madam Pomfrey stares at her nervously.

\"When was your last menstration?\"Madam Pomfrey asks as Hermione blushes a bit,wondering why she is asking her this.

\"Last month...I can not remember exactly what day.What does that have to do with my upset stomach?Am I having female problems?\"Hermione asks curiously as Madam Pomfrey stares at her nervously,so nervous in fact that she is trembling.

\"I do not know if you would consider this a problem.However seeing as much as you love school Miss Granger,it could very well be....\"Madam Pomfrey states trailing off,as Hermione stares at her feeling as if her stomach is going to explode.

\"Do I have some strange diease or something!What is wrong with me!\"Hermione asks franticly,as Madam Pomfrey tries to calm her down.

\"Miss Granger,please calm down and then I will tell you.\"Madam Pomfrey states in a quiet tone,as Hermione at least pretends to act calm.*Did Snape give me some sort of diease?*Hermione thinks to herself feeling a bit insecure,as Madam Pomfrey holds her hand.

\"You are pregnant,dear.I do not know whom you decided to do this with but you must report to the headmaster as soon as possible.\"Madam Pomfrey states,as Hermione stares at her in complete shock.

\"IM PREGNANT!Im not reporting this to Dumbledore are you mental!!!\"She shouts angerly as Madam Pomfrey stares at her nervously.

\"If you do not wish to report it Miss Granger...then you must think about other options...\"Madam Pomfrey states wearily,as she pulls out a pamphlet from her apron and hands it to Hermione.Hermione stares at it curiously and then back at Madam Pomfrey in shock.

\"You are\'nt suggesting that I....that I....do this?\"Hermione asks stuttering,as Madam Pomfrey pats her on the back.

\"St.Mungo\'s has a division that will do the procedure...it is painless Miss Granger I assure you.Of course it is your decision and if you do decide to keep it,I do not know how long you will be able to stay at the school when you start to show.I know how much you value your learning Miss Granger...so seriously consider going to St.Mungo\'s and do take care of yourself.\"Madam Pomfrey states warmly,as Hermione merely nods to her wordlessly and tucks the pamphlet into her pocket.

As Hermione begins to head towards the door,she notices Draco staring at her as if he is in shock.*Oh Merlin I forgot he was still in the room.What am I going to do?It seems as if he overheard...what if Harry and Ron find out,or for that matter Snape!*Hermione thinks in distress,as she heads out of the hospital wing.She figures there is not much else she could do to keep Draco quiet if he did overhear,other than use oblivate on him and the ministry would lock her up for that.She walks towards her chambers not really knowing what to think or how to feel.If she kept it so many people would be affected,and she had not even taken her parent\'s perspective into account.She did not really know what to do and as she thought about this,she knew a little life was growing inside her.She admitted that the thought did make her feel a little warm inside,but she also knew that hiding it for awhile was not going to be easy,ecspecially if Draco knew!

As Halloween came around,just a few weeks after Hermione\'s trip to the hospital wing,everyone was buzzing about the Hallow\'s Eve Ball.It seemed that Dumbledore decided to have a Ball this year instead of a feast,and everyone in the school was invited to attend.Hermione had been a bit depressed over the past few weeks because she saw very little of Snape,but she found comfort in her friends Harry and Ron.Hermione figured she was around two months pregnant and was very relieved that she was nowhere near showing,as she could still fit into her smaller outfits.She did not tell Snape about her state not only because she never really saw him,but also because she was terribly scared to tell him something of such importance.Hermione was also very releived to find out that Draco seemed to have told no one of her pregnancy.She did not really know if it was because he had not heard afterall,or if he was planning something...either way she was relieved for the time being.

As the few hours to prepare before the ball approched,Hermione decided to tame her hair a bit and wear a beautiful gown that she bought over the summer.It was a teal red color and reached all the way down to the floor,as tiny pieces of glitter seemed to cover the gown causing a brillant sparkling effect.Hermione was not going to wear the gown until the end of the year dance that the seventh years attended.She figured if she decided to keep the baby however, she would probably not be there at the end of the year as she frowned at the thought.Hermione stood in front of the mirror trying to not think about the obvious,as she adjusted her gown and her hair and headed down to the common room.She was not going to let anyone stop her from having a good time tonight,as she waited for Ron and Harry to come down from the boys dormitory.

As she sat there around other students who were dressed up for the ball,she could not help but wonder how Lupin was doing.She knew that he was not having a fun time at all,making her feel as if the situation she was in was petty compared to his.She wondered why it was taking him so long to owl her of his safe return,but figured if anything was wrong Harry would hear it first and then tell her and Ron.She thought it was funny that Lupin had told her to stay away from Snape,as Snape had pretty much told her the same thing for the time being.Of course they both had there diffrent reasons but she still thought it was kind of amusing,as she sat there trying to make light of the situation.

Suddenly,as she looked towards the boy\'s dormitory,she saw Harry and Ron standing there in very nice tuxedos.They were all going as a group and Ron and Hermione\'s dating soon turned back into more of a friendship,which seemed not to bother either of them at the time.Of course,as Hermione saw them walking towards her all she could see was Ron and how good he looked at that moment.She wondered if it was a mistake that she stopped dating Ron,as she suddenly felt a pain across her stomach and realized why she had to.As they both sat across from her she could not help but feel at a loss for words,as Ron seemed to be staring at her in the same sort of warm way.

\"Are we going?or should I leave you two alone for a moment?\"Harry states laughing a little,as Hermione and Ron both seem to turn the same color red.

\"Let\'s go then!\"Hermione shouts feeling a bit embarrased,as they head towards the Great Hall.

As the group makes there way there and enters,they notice that all of the tables have been moved and that a very large group of students seem to be walking about.There are very small tables positioned around the sides of the room and a very large table up agianst the wall that had food and refreshments.The Great Hall had the enchanted pumpkins hovering about as well as other halloween decorations,but it was also enchanted to look like a graveyard as tombstones covered the floor.As Ron walked up to one curiously,trying to touch it,his hand seemed to go strait through as if it was\'nt there.

\"Wicked!You can walk strait through these things!\"Ron stated a bit amazed,as Nearly Headless Nick floated towards them.

\"I got them off of some ghosts who did not really need them anymore.Quite lucky for the headmaster that I got them in time for the ball.\"Nearly Headless Nick states,as Hermione stares at him curiously.

\"I don\'t understand...why don\'t they need them?\"Hermione asks curiously,as he nods towards her.

\"There ghosts!These are just shadows of there stones...how would a ghost rest in peace anyways!\"Nearly Headless Nick states laughing,as he floats off without another word said.

\"Why do we have the mental house ghost.\"Ron grumbles,as the group walks over to one of the round tables and has a seat.

Dumbledore begins his speech about how happy he is that everyone is in attendence,of course making an exception of those who\'s parents pulled them out of the school because of \"You know who\".No one felt safe to know there children were away at this time,as Hermione did not even bother to tell her parents what was going on out of fear they would tell her to come home.It was known that her parents were Muggles,and Hermione tried to keep every aspect of this world other than school work,out of there minds.As Dumbledore seemed to finish his speech and some strange sort of organ and violin music played,she looked over at the Professors table curiously.Much to her displeasure she saw Snape but he was with his pretend wife,as she seemed to clutch onto his arm as he lead her to the dance floor.*Why does he have to pretend he is married anyways!And to her of all people!Is he trying to get out of doing order work by saying that he is married?And is he enjoying pretending to be married to her?*Hermione thinks angerly,as at least one of her questions are answered as the Bella woman kisses him!

Snape does not seem to pull away either,as Hermione infumes with rage.*I don\'t know if you are pretending or not but I don\'t care!This is far to much for me to handle!*Hermione thinks as tears start to form in her eyes,as she fights to hold them back.*I won\'t shed another tear for you...bastard!*Hermione thinks angerly as she walks over to Ron and hold out her hand.

\"Dance with me,Ron!\"Hermione says demandingly,as Ron jumps up excitedly and escorts her to the dance floor.

Hermione makes it a point to dance with Ron very close to Snape,as Ron holds her in his arms tightly.Hermione can not help but smile inside,as she notices Snape scowling at them and releasing Bella from his grasp a bit.If he was going to kiss Bella knowing she would be at this function,then she would just let him know that if he wished to keep her he would never do it agian!As Ron stared into Hermione\'s face warmly,all she could think about was seeking some sort of revenge,as she began kissing Ron furiously.It soon became more than a peck as there tounges began to meet each others,and soon the thought of revenge seemed to leave Hermione\'s mind.At that moment all she could think about was how warm and tingly she felt,and how much she enjoyed it that Ron was the one kissing her.After there lips seemed to part,they just seemed to stare at each other,as Hermione seemed to find comfort in Ron\'s eyes.Of course,this did not last long before Snape was hovering over them angerly.

\"Twenty points each from gryfindor for this display!And seperate detentions for the both of you!Weasely...meet me in the potions classroom after classes tommorow for your detention!Miss Granger,meet me there after dinnner!\"Snape states angerly as he storms out of the ball room,leaving Bella standing there on the dance floor.Hermione can not help but be amused by all this,as Ron looks over at her and laughs.

\"I think that was worth a detention!\"Ron states smiling,as Hermione blushes a little.

Hermione never meant for any of this to happen the way it did,but strangely she was happy she was standing there with Ron instead of Snape.As she saw Bella run out of the ball room,all she could do was look back at Ron and think about the kiss they just shared.She did not know what was going on,but all she could think of was wanting to kiss him agian and hold him.When her and Ron dated before all he did was kiss her on the cheek,but this was far from that!As her stomach began to hurt agian she tried not to think about the obvious and concentrate on Ron,as he held her close to him.She enjoyed being here with Ron,but as her stomach began to ache even more she could not help but think about Snape.Soon her and Ron walked over to a table so that she could sit down,as she stared at him quietly.*I can\'t do this to Ron...I do still have feelings for Snape no matter how Ron makes me feel...and Im carrying Snape\'s child!I really don\'t know who I want to be with... or what im feeling...I really don\'t know if this is Love or Lust?*Hermione thinks as she begins to open her mouth to tell Ron goodnight.
