Ch 3.
As usual Arithmancy and Ancient runes were pleasant classes; perhaps the only thing wrong with them was that Mudblood Granger was in both. Actually the Mudblood was in all but one of my classes. Her hand was always waving in the air either to ask a question or to give an answer. It made me sick because after all just because you know something doesn’t mean you have to show it off.
“Oh Professor Vector, that’s absolutely brilliant, I aspire to someday be as intelligent as you are” Granger said after Professor Vector explained a difficult equation. I looked at Blaise and laughed. Blaise was the only other Slytherin in Arithmancy and I was thankful for him because I don’t think I could have gone through a whole class with a Mudblood and a load of Know-it-All Ravenclaws. Don’t get me wrong I liked Ravenclaws well enough just not in groups.
My last class of the day was Defense and not only was this one of my favorite classes but it was the only class of the day that Greg and Vin shared with me on Tuesdays.
“Hey Greggy. How was Divination.” I asked. I knew he had that class with Millie.
“It was awful,” Said Vincent, “First Trelawney…” Trelawney was back teaching Divination and the Centaur who had taken her place was-at least rumor had it that he was- handling the Teachers paychecks. “made this big deal about Potter dying a painful death.”
“I hope that’s true.” I laughed. “But didn’t she say that last week?”
“Yeah, well according to Ernie McMillan she says the same thing every day of every year.”
“McMillan? That Hufflepuff? Why in Merlin’s name were you talking to him?!”
“I wasn’t. He was just talking so loudly I couldn’t help but overhear.” What he meant by that was that he was eavesdropping. “So anyway then she starts talking about a few people in the class finding their true loves by the end of the year and she wanders around and….oh gods you should have heard Lav Brown and Parvati Patil they sounded like piglets the way they were squealing...anyway so then Trelawney stops right over Milie and she says….’you my dear, you may have found your life mate’ and of course everyone knows about her and Goyle’s date so….it was just disturbing.”
“I thought it was rather enlightening.” Greg said. I quirked my eyebrow at him but I didn’t get a chance to say anything because the Hot Girl walked in. The Hot Girl being our new Defense teacher. She wasn’t all that brilliant, she was a bit ditsy, and her voice was rather annoying but everyone agreed that she was nice to look at. Now I was gay but that didn’t mean I couldn’t appreciate her beauty; she had waist long raven hair, smooth white skin, and piercing green eyes. I think she was Spaniard though I’m not positive not that it really matters what she looked like I never saw her again after that but explaining it helps explain why Greg and Vince were incredibly difficult to talk to during the class and thus why I didn’t get a chance to inquire more about their Divination class.
“Close your mouth Vinny.” I heard Theodore snigger from behind me.
“Good afternoon class,” The Hot Girl said in her very girly slightly annoying voice, “today we are going to be covering some very deadly curses. They are very dangerous so I don’t want anyone to try them or even think about them but they are important to learn for your N.E.W.T.S so we’ll be learning about them today.”
I heard the Mudblood grumble something to Weasel but he paid her no attention which seemed to make her huffier. I smiled to myself. I loved it when things went badly for the Saintly Trio which actually happened quite often especially during the last couple of years as they seemed to ‘break up’ more often than most groups of friends. Of course the death of Potter’s Godfather Sirius Black seemed to have drawn them closer together. Sirius Black was my second cousin although I was technically not allowed to mention him as such but when my aunt Bella killed him at the end of my fifth year he suddenly became very important to my family. It was because he was my cousin that Mother and I received a huge lump of money allowing us to persuade Minister Fudge into getting my Father out of Azkaban. Fudge had a soft spot for my father anyway so I suppose if we hadn’t received the money Father would have been released anyway but perhaps not as quickly.
“Okay class that’s all for today I’ll see you on Thursday after dinner. And remember to complete that essay.” The Hot Girl said concluding the class.
“That was easy stuff. Not anything new for us” I said as we packed up.
“Yeah, my mother taught me that stuff when I was….oh I don’t know maybe eight.” Blaise said smugly.
“Well I learned that stuff when I was five.” Theodore countered. He had his long dark hair tied up in a bow. I was actually really surprised when he showed up on the train with long hair; he had always worn it so properly before.
“My father taught me those curses as soon as I was out of diapers.” Crabbe said importantly.
“So you mean over the summer?” Blaise said. We laughed.
“Well I was born knowing that stuff…” said Goyle.
“So she said that it could be a class for only Mudbloods. So that they learn how to behave properly in OUR world.” Pansy said Friday night. It was raining and unseasonably cold so even those of us who had planned on going out chose to stay inside our common room all us sixth years were sitting on or around the main couch in the room. Pansy was dating the fifth year she had been flirting with at breakfast when Goyle had asked Millie out. He was okay, not rich like me, or sexy either but he was cunning enough; his name was Travis.
“I don’t think so Pans.” Said Millicent “I mean if that was so why would WE have it on our schedules?”
“Because they don’t want to be prejudice of course.” I snorted.
“Prejudice Drakey?” Pansy said.
“You know, they don’t want the Mudbloods to feel out of place so they make US go through the motions.”
“Ugh. I hate Mudbloods.” Pansy spat.
“Yeah yeah well at least it’s an easy pass.” I said.
“SO that’s definitely what Life Skills class is about then?” Blaise asked.
“Well what else could it be?” Pansy said
Blaise shrugged. I didn’t know but I also didn’t want to spend my only night homework free talking about naught but a class so I changed the subject. “SO what do you guys think about the rumor that the youngest Weasel and Squib Longbottom are dating?”
“It’s awful!” Pansy shrieked.
“Aw they deserve each other their both good for nothing blood traiting Gryffindors.” Blaise said. I laughed but not because I thought what Blaise said was untrue but because he reminded me of my father.
Once started Father would have gone on for hours on blood traitors and how much worse they are than Mudbloods. One time, I was about seven at the time and Father had just come home from work, he was so upset that he paced back and forth in our sitting room for hours grumbling about Weasley, Muggles, Blood-traitors, and the Dark Lord. I was sitting on the couch watching him when Mother came in and asked him to come to dinner but he just growled and resumed pacing. She asked me to go with her but I told her I would wait. Now, I never found out what happened that made him so flustered but I was the think that calmed him down. ‘Father.’ I said to him.
‘not now Draco’ He huffed at me. I smiled and walked up to him.
‘But Father’ I pulled on his pants. He looked down at me and sighed, ‘what?’
‘Sit with me.’ He rolled his eyes but he headed toward the couch anyway. Once he was sitting I cuddled up next to him. His heart was beating faster than normal and his breathing was heavy. I began kissing his arm and rubbing my hand on his chest and eventually his breathing calmed. ‘I love you father,’ I whispered. He laughed lightly and wrapped his arm around me giving me a kiss on the head. ‘Dragon,’ he said, ‘I don’t know what I would do without you.’
‘You’d run away with Minister Fudge and join the Dark Auror Force.’ I said playfully. He laughed again. He had always said that when he was angry or frustrated with Mother (‘if it wasn’t for you Draco I’d leave that woman, run away with Fudge and join the Dark Auror Force!’)
He seemed a lot more relaxed but I could feel that he was still a bit stiff. Knowing exactly what made Father let go completely I laid myself across his knees. I unzipped his grey work pants and dipped my head carefully over his limp penis. I couldn’t see it but I knew he had closed his eyes. I let my mouth make love to him until he came- about fifteen minutes later. Afterwards we sat and kissed for a while and then met with Mother in the dining room; she always waited for Father to join her. She was a good wife.
