New Friends

Remus reached his chambers, and put on some new clothes. Although, he had never spent much time in the Muggle world, he had become fond of some of their fashions. Pulling the black t-shirt on, he looked appreciatively at the logo on the front of the shirt. It read, \"Werewolf Wonder.\" Then, he traded his slacks for a pair of black jeans. His socks were a commodity of sorts as they also bore some werewolf saying. He had never researched what exactly it meant. He really didn\'t care. He grabbed his teaching robes on his way out the door. he would put them on once he reached the class.

\"I better hurry\". Remus said to himself leaving his chambers, and heading in the direction of his classroom.

\"Remus what are you wearing?\" Severus drawled in a disgusted tone.

\"None of your business Serverus.\" Remus answered in a testy voice.

\"You know thats no way to talk to a friend\".Snape said.

Lupin smiled in a less than friendly way. \"Yes, well then, I guess it is a good thing that your not my friend.\" Remus said, stepping past Severus and going to his class.

\"Ok class today we will be going on a hunt for magical creatures in the Forbidden Forest.\" Lupin said. He straightened his robes as he explained to the students what they would be doing.

Upon reaching the forest, Lupin sorted each of them into pairs. \"Ok now Harry and Ron. Malfoy and Goyle.Lavender and Neville. Hemione and Crabbe,\"Remus said.\"I will be waiting here at the entrance where you are to return when it is lights out time. Dont worry, Dumbledore already knows about this. As such, this will be your only class today and I will guide you back to your houses so as to see that you do not get into trouble.You may go now.\"
\\line\\line Remus sat down by a nearby tree and started thinking about what he had said early to Snape while horrible memories crept into his mind...

It was a cold day and James, Snape,Wormtail, Peter, Sirius and remus had been heading outside after 2 long hours of exams.\"So what do you guys want to do\" Remus asked as Snape trailed away from the group to sit on a bench that the rest of them were to be next to on another bench.

\"I guess we can just sit and talk\"James said.

\"OK\" Remus had replied, sitting at a bench next to Snape.

They had sat and talked for a while and then when it was close to lights out, they headed to the castle unaware of the Full Moon that was rising high into the night sky. James looked up into the sky shocked and then at me. Thats when things went wrong. James was looking at Remus with a horrified look in his eyes. Remus quickly knew what was wrong but by the time he had figured out that a Full moon was out he was already yelling in pain and shock, but mostly pain.

Snape who was walking behind us had fallen to the ground out of shock and horror for he never knew Lupin was a Werewolf. He was shaking, rigidly trying his best to keep his mind connected to his body. But his attempts failed by the time he had fully transformed the only people outside were James Sirius and Snape, who was still staring in open shock.

No one else had seen his transformation, except for Peter, who because they were already inside before it happened. Sirius and James quickly ran, not knowing what else to do. When Snape got up, I attacked him. James was trying to pull me off of Snape as Remus heard him shout, \"Go get Professor Dumbledore.\" to Sirius.

Sirius ran to go and find Dumbledore, while James was still trying to pull Remus off of Snape. In mere moments, Sirius returned with Dumbledore.

Upon seeing Remus attacking Snape and James, the headmaster quickly used a binding spell on him and took all three of them to the hospital wing.

Remus awoke, realizing where he was also noticing that he wasn\'t a werewolf anymore.\"Where am I?\" a familiar voice asked.

\"We\'re in the hospital wing, arent we, Severus?\"James asked weakly.
Sarcastic, as usual, Snape answered, \"Give the fella a golden gryffindor! He knows where we are at.\"

... \"Professor Lupin, PROFFESSOR LUPIN! wake up\" a voice shouted, waking me up from my daydreaming.

\"What is the matter, Hermione\".Remus asked wearily.

\"Its time to go in. She responded softly, an odd look in her eyes as she watched him closely.
\"Oh,\" he sighed, looking around, \"So it is.\" Remus agreed.

Remus escorted the students back to theur houses, and retired to his own chamber, tired, and weary. Just as he was settling down to a nice cup of tea, a knock sounmded at his door. \"Remus?\" He recognized Severus Snape\'s voice immediately.

\"Yes, Snape.\" he answered reluctantly, \"come in.\"

Attempting some dry humor, Snape asked, \"Now what are you wearing?\"

Gesturing angrily at his clothing he still wore after shedding his teaching robes, Lupin asked, \"What the bloody hell does it matter what I am wearing?\" he sighed raggedly, \"Not that it is any of your business, Snivelly!\"

Snape, having heard this struck his fist at Remus. Remus was too quick for him, pulling out his wand, he yelled \"Crucio!\"

Once Snape recovered from Remus\'s attack. Snape pulled out his own wand and readied himself for battle.
