Chapter two
Harry/Draco/Draconia.
Chapter 2: The great hall breakfast-introduction of characters.
When the three of them reached the great hall they sat in their usual seats at the Gryffindor table. They were immediately greeted by Ginny Weasley and her boy friend Neville Longbottom. He was a very forgetful and rather clumsy and a shy timid boy. He did have his good points as well. Which were is very pleasant compassionate and very sweet nature.
Ginny smiled brightly at the trio and said, \"Morning Harry, Ron, Hermione.\" Hermione replied \"morning Ginny, Neville.\" Neville nodded and added shyly \"morning Hermione, guys\" he added gesturing towards Harry and Ron. Harry smiled \"morning Gin Nev.\"
Ron nodded and added \"sleep well sis\" he nodded in Neville\'s directions and said, \"Morning Nev.\" Ginny replied \"yeah actually I did better then I have since the beginning of term started.\"
Hermione asked \"how come?\" Ginny replied \"oh it\'s just strange being back here after you know what happened in the school grounds at the end of last term.\" Every one nodded knowingly.
They all settled down to eat. Ten minutes into breakfast the post arrived the enchanted ceiling of the great hall was surrounded by a sea of owls. A beautiful snowy white owl by the name of Hedwig, whom belong to Harry, fluttered onto the table near Harry and held out her leg.
Harry untied the scroll from her leg and stroked her before giving her a piece of his bacon. She hooted happily and affectionately nipped him on his finger before taking off again into the air. She was heading towards the owlry for her morning nap.
Harry put down his fork and unrolled the scroll. He quickly scanned the piece of parchment up and down before his brow furrowed in puzzlement. The note was from Dumbledore, requesting his presence in his office immediately after breakfast was over. And also that he was excused from his first two lessons. And that the pass word to the gargoyle was sorbet lemon.
Harry glanced down at his watch noting there was only five minutes before the first bell alerting the start of the first lesson of the morning, which was of no great sorrow for Harry to miss seeing as it was only history of magic? Plus he would probably only end up falling a sleep with boredom as perusal.
The professor whom taught that particular lesson was in fact a ghost called Binn\'s. It was known that he was once a professor at Hogwarts. Who died in his sleep, and the next morning just merely got up and left his body and continued on teaching as if not realising he was in fact a spirit and not a member of the living.
Harry told Hermione and Ron that he would see them in Potions as it was their third lesson of the day. He explained that Dumbledore had said in his note that Harry was to go to his office straight after breakfast.
Harry picked up his bag waved to Hermione, Ron, Ginny and Neville, then turned towards the entrance of the great hall. Harry exited the great hall and walked down the corridor towards Dumbledore\'s office.
As he walked along the corridor Harry couldn\'t help but feel he was not alone, in fact it seemed to Harry that he was being followed. He quickly and sharply turned around to come face to face with Draco Malfoy. Harry nodded and said, \"Malfoy.\" Draco returned the sentiment and also nodded and replied \"Potter.\"
Harry and Draco were no longer enemies, but they certainly weren\'t friends either. They were just now mere acquaintances whom passed each other in the hall ways and always politely nodded whenever they saw each other. They would call each other by their last names as they always had in the past, Only difference now was that there was no malice or spite in either the Gryffindor\'s or Slytherin\'s tone of voices.
Things had seriously changed, and had of course changed for the better. In their sixth year Draco had decided to join Dumbledore and fight with the Order of the Phoenix in the fight against Voldermort. He had refused to receive the dark mark and this in return infuriated Lucius his father. Who disowned him and branded him a traitor and disgrace to the name Malfoy.
But what Lucius didn\'t seem to know was that his wife Narcissa had in fact not disowned their son and had no intentions of ever doing so what so ever. She and Draco were still in contact. It was hard to stay in contact with each other without be caught by Lucius. Things were a lot easier more comfortable, and of course more pleasant now that Lucius was dead. He had been killed in the battle against the Order of the Phoenix back in early July, when the castle was attacked. Many sixth and seventh year students were either killed or severely hurt in some way or other.
Harry noticed as he reached Dumbledore\'s office that Draco had stopped as well and was standing beside him. Harry turned to Draco and asked \"did Dumbledore asked you come along as well?\" Draco nodded and replied \"I wonder what he wants Potter?\" Harry merely shrugged and told him \"I haven\'t the slightest clue. I guess we will find out when we reach his office.\" Draco nodded and asked \"so do you want to say the pass word or shall I?\"
Harry thought for a moment and replied, \"Why don\'t you, that\'s if you know the pass word.\" Draco nodded and looked up at the gargoyle and said clearly \"Sorbet lemon.\" The gargoyle sprung round allowing Harry and Draco to enter. Harry and Draco waited while the gargoyle rotated leading up to Dumbledore\'s office. Harry knocked and was immediately told to enter by Dumbledore.
