Later that evening, in the common room, while Ron studied with Lily in the corner, Hermione talked to Harry.

“Harry, don’t you think its weird that the new girl seems...familiar to you?” Hermione said, looking at Harry, then back at Lily. Lily and Ron were engrossed in potions parchments that Lily had borrowed from Snape.

“No, not at all, she seems nice.” Harry said, catching Lily’s eyes and blushing. “I think she’s cute.”

“Okay, but be careful Harry, you don’t know who this woman is.” Hermione said, picking up her things, “I am going to study in my room, g’night.” She then walked up the stairs to her four poster bed.

About that time, Ron picked up his things and smiled at Lily and then at Harry, “Well Harry, I am going off to bed now...”

Lily smiled, “Good night Ron... I hope I helped you understand potions a little better.”
Ron blushed and went up to his room.

Harry smiled at Lily and picked up his book, ‘Magical Creatures 202, How to care for them as pets and more.’ And he walked over beside her. “May I sit here?”

Lily smiled, “Yes... go right ahead.”

Harry sat down, “Thank you.”

“You know, Harry... you remind me of my boyfriend in my old school.”

Harry was all ears, “Oh? Really?”

She nodded, “Yes, you do... its’ interesting... you and your friends remind me of me and mine... I mean, Hermione and you two guys.”

“Really?”Harry nodded, he was interested now.

“Really. I was the only female in my group of all guy friends... at my old school.” She began to think of Lupin, Sirius and James, but then remembered that she would return the same moment she left, so they wouldn’t miss her as much as she missed them.

Harry touched her hand, “Do you miss him? Your boyfriend, I mean?”

“Yeah, but I haven’t been gone too long, I don’t miss him too much... but I am sure I will.”

Harry leaned forward and kissed Lily, he didn’t know why he did, but he did kiss her.

Her eyes opened wide for a moment, he kissed just like James did. She wrapped her arms around him.
