Reunited 2

Jason woke before Harry did and made his way to the kitchen. Sirius greeted him with a smile.

"Morning, Jason," Sirius seemed exceptionally cheery.

"Morning," Jason grumbled back as he poured a cup of coffee for himself.

"Sleep well?"

Jason sat at the seat opposite Sirius. "Can I ask you a question?"

"Go ahead," Sirius set down his newspaper.

"Am I supposed to call you Dad? I know that you are my dad and all, but I haven’t seen you for the first 17 years of my life."

"You only have to call me Dad if you feel comfortable with it."

"I just haven’t had a father figure I my life. Now I finally know who you are and what you are to me. I feel like I gained a whole new part of me. It’s kind of nice."

Sirius’ smile grew wider as he tried to hold back tears. ‘He’ had a son. It was almost as if he had two sons including Harry. He was a father figure.

"I’m not making you uncomfortable, am I?"

"Not at all," Sirius said quietly. "It’s just the fact that I actually have a child of my own. All that I have had in my life is Harry and Remus. It’s been so hard to have anyone else after James and Lily were killed and I was put in Az-"

"Put where?"

"It’s not important. All that matters is that I now have you here with me."

"How long have you and Remus been together?"

"We’ve been with each other for about 19 years."

"That’s a really long time."

"It’s worth it though, even when we get in our little spats. I’ll still love him no matter what stupid things he does."

"What is Harry to you?"

"Harry is my godson. I didn’t find him again until he was in his 3rd year at Hogwarts. Didn’t you go to Hogwarts?"

"No. Mom decided that she would home school me instead. We lived in the muggle world for most of my life. She would make occasional trips by herself to get a few supplies while someone else watched me. When she got back, she would just teach me with them."

"Why didn’t she try to find me when she found out that she was pregnant?"

"I’m not entirely sure. She never really told me."

Sirius sipped his coffee and watched his son. He thought, reminding himself how much his son looked like his mother.
