Chapter three: It's o.k. to cry
A.N.: O.k. this is a little shorter than most of my other chapters....but my wrists are getting tired. And about the Harry being blasted out of the dungeons....there was a window for that part....I think, anyway please read and review!
Chapter three: It's o.k. to cry
Harry sat on a log, breathing heavily with his head in his hands trying not to cry. /He was there Sirius, he watched you die.......and now they've let him in the school./ A dry sob escaped his lips, /Nowhere is safe.../ "Oh, Sirius!" He stopped just short of tears and fought them back, /No more crying!/ His head shot up at a soft sound and he froze as the cloaked figure came out of the shadows and walked to him. She pushed her hood back and smiled sadly at him before wrapping her arms around him.
Her voice was soft as she pulled him onto her lap, "It's o.k. to cry, sometimes it helps with the pain."
Harry's lips trembled an instant before he began crying and clutching her closely. She rocked him, held him, and whispered words of comfort, until his crying ceased, his breathing evened, and he slept. She kissed his forehead softly before she stood and began walking towards the castle, Harry covered in her cloak.
A murmured spell and they were invisible for the long walk to the Gryffindor tower. She walked silently, cradling Harry to her, as she entered the Entrance Hall and began climbing the moving stairs. She never noticed the two blondes following her by scent.
She reached the portrait of the Fat Lady and sat Harry down, dispersing the invisibility spell. She looked up at the Fat Lady's wide eyes, "Let me in please."
"I can't without the password."
"I don't want to wake him."
She indicated Harry and the Fat Lady nodded before opening, "For Harry then......by the way welcome back."
"Thanks." She smiled as she picked up Harry again and climbed through....two sneaky blonde Slytherins followed silently.
The common room was empty as she walked through to the boys' dormitory. Even the stairs were silent as she climbed to the dark room and followed Harry's scent of green apples to his bed. She laid him down gently and closed the curtain for a moment before turning to leave. She noticed Neville had kicked off his covers so on her way out she stopped and tucked him in. "No more nightmares tonight." Neville's frown disappeared as his face went peaceful and she descended the stairs.
It was in the common room without Harry's scent distracting her that she smelt two others hiding. Her eyes gleamed as one familiar and one unfamiliar scent teased her nose. She was not in the mood for a confrontation, so she walked to a window, opened it, and leapt out.
Lucius and Draco ran to the window, but there was no sign of her. "What do you think happened?"
"I'm not sure Draco."
"Do you thing she died?"
"No....I know better somehow.....she wouldn't have jumped if it would have hurt her."
"I hope you're right father."
"So do I Draco.....so do I."
A.N.: So what did ya think so far?
Oh and Chapter 4 is a bit longer than the rest of the ones so far, so it may take me a tad....bit longer to update, but I'll work hard on it for my reviews that like it, promise.
