Summary – A bet between friends becomes serious, and Harry
and Draco are forced to re-evaluate what ‘worst enemy’ means to them.

‘Hi Ron. How are things?’

‘Uh… fine Harry, just fine.’

‘Is something up?’

‘No… no… look, I have to go now… downstairs…’

‘Okay… see you later?’

‘Um… sure, yeah.’

‘Hermione, is Ron all right?’

‘Ron? Why?’

‘He’s acting pretty weird. He keeps making excuses not to
talk to me. Or be in the same room as me. It’s getting annoying.’

‘Oh… um… no, I don’t know what’s up. Maybe he’s just…
studying.’

‘Studying? Ron?’

‘Not everyone has your slacker attitude Harry!’

‘Okay, okay, just… it’s not much like him, is it?’

‘Maybe he’s just had a change of mind. Look, I should really
go…’

‘Now you’re doing it too!’

‘…to my Arithmancy class. Honestly Harry…’

‘Oh. Okay. Hermione?’

‘Yes, Harry?’

‘Did you and Pansy… I mean, the tape… was it…?’

‘It was… very entertaining Harry.’

‘Stop grinning like that. If it weren’t for the money I

‘Harry, who do you need the money? I thought you had all
those savings?’

‘I do… I… I wanted something special. Something I didn’t
want to waste a hundred galleons of my own money on.’

‘Well, what was it?’

‘Nothing important. Just, you know, a… a broom servicing
kit. Like the one you got me.’

‘That wasn’t a hundred…’

‘Well, you know upgrades… I should get to my class as well.’

‘Yes. Yes, of course. See you around Harry.’

‘Yeah, see you Hermione.’

‘I noticed. Well? Pick those up Potter.’

‘I don’t have to pick up after you!’

‘I guess I don’t have to keep our secret then. Look, there’s
Goyle. I’m sure he’d be interested in who my latest lay was.’

‘You didn’t lay me
Malfoy, and for god’s sake keep your voice down!’

‘Well, it could be arranged. How are you fixed for Friday?’

‘I’m… No! It was a
one off! Never again!’

‘Oh well. Can’t say I was expecting a yes. Now, pick those
up.’

‘I hate you.’

‘I know Potter, I know. There, you missed the potions one.
Over there. Thank you.’

‘Draco.’

‘Ah, Goyle. I was just instructing Potter in here as how he
should conduct himself when I am present. I even have him fetching my books,
see?’

‘Very clever Draco!’

‘You promised you wouldn’t, Malfoy!’

‘No need to hiss like that Potter, I’m sure your snakeish
talents don’t extend to transfiguration. Run along now.’

‘I…’

‘I said run style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>along Potter. Or do you need me to
remind you why it’d be better for you to do exactly what I say?’

‘I thought you… I…’

‘What did you think Potter?’

‘Yeah, Potter!’

‘Quiet Goyle, let him talk.’

back this better all be fixed, I don’t care what lies you have to tell, but it

‘Crystal. Harry,
don’t do anything…’

‘Stupid? Don’t worry, I think I used up my stupid quotient
when I agreed to making that stupid fucking video.’

‘Harry, mate, come back… shit. He’s gone.’

‘What do we do now, Ron?’

‘I have no idea. Sort this out I guess.’

like this one better than the second chapter. I know it’s shorter but the next
one will be longer, and smuttier! Pleeeease review if you read, I need to hear
criticism in all forms, just the number of hits tells me jack shit….
