CHAPTER 3

Severus looked hatefully at his brother. “You really did it this time… Come with me.” He turned on his heels, leaving Sachiel, not looking back to see if he was following or not.

They came to the gargoyle that guarded Dumbledore’s office. Severus said the password — “licorice pipes” — and the gargoyle moved out of the way. They walked up the spiral steps to the Headmaster’s door, where Severus knocked loudly.

“Come in,” said the Headmaster’s voice.

Severus opened the door and stormed up to the desk where the Headmaster was sitting. He thrust the letter at him, and looked murderously back at Sachiel without saying a word. The Headmaster read the note, and took off his glasses, rubbing his eyes. It had been a very long day.

“So I take it that you tried your hand at impersonating your brother again with Miss Granger?” Albus asked.

Sachiel only stared at the Headmaster.

So Severus spoke up. “Tried is a very good way to put it, Headmaster. Since she saw right through him immediately.”

“As I thought she would,” said the Headmaster with that maddening twinkle in his eyes. “Sachiel, I do not approve of you lying to a student.”

“I didn’t lie, Headmaster. As you clearly see, the letter is signed SS. My name happens to be Sachiel Snape, if you recall,” Sachiel said, not very loudly but clearly.

“So it does,” was all the Headmaster could say, because right at that moment, there was another knock at the door. “Come in,” he called.

Professor McGonagall walked into the room and stopped when she saw Sachiel standing there. “What is HE still doing here?”

“I have every right to be here, same as you, McGonagall!” Sachiel said in a silky but demanding voice. He walked up to her, and Professor McGonagall tried not to notice how sexily he walked. “You know what you need, Professor?”

“No, and I don’t care, but I have a feeling you’re going to tell me anyway,” she replied sourly.

“Ahh, an intelligent woman,” Sachiel said, looking down at her with a look that could melt over ninety percent of all the women he met.

She only crossed her arms and stared coldly at him. “You are wound up tighter then a Head Spinner at Zonko\'s Joke Shop.”

“The Spire Spindle Spinners from the Weasleys\' Wizard Wheezes are far better then Zonko\'s old-style Head Spinners,” Dumbledore broke in with a twinkle in his eyes. “They last much longer.”

“Either way, Minerva, you need to relax and let down your hair once in a while.” Sachiel reached up and played with her hat, and she pushed him away. He only smirked knowingly at her.

“Well,” said Dumbledore, breaking into their conversation, “There is a problem here as what to do with Mr. Snape. Now it just happens that Professor Script, our archivist, informed me earlier today that he was retiring. So, Mr. Snape, if you would like to have a job running the Archives until I can find a replacement, I would appreciate it.”

“WHAT!” yelled both Severus and Minerva, in outraged unison.

“I would love to, Headmaster,” Sachiel said, bowing to him.

“You honestly cannot be serious about this, Albus!” exclaimed Minerva.

“I too have to voice my opinion against this, Headmaster. He has already showed no respect or caring for the students! He has tried to seduce one twice already!”

“He didn’t!” Minerva exclaimed, shocked. “Who?”

“None other then your pride and joy,” said Severus, looking at her so she had NO doubt of whom he meant.

“NO, not Miss Granger?!” she said with her hand over her heart.

“Oh, that little hellcat is your pride and joy student, is she?” Sachiel gave her a deep penetrating look, as if this thought pleased him.

“You go near her again, or any other female student, and I will personally have your balls!” Severus was nose to nose with Sachiel, both staring each other down.

“You can never hurt me, brother! You know this, I know this. And, by the way, I have heard this threat before. Not only am I still alive, but I also have all my body parts.” Sachiel grinned wickedly at him.

“Be that as it may,” broke in the Headmaster sternly, “I will have to agree with Professor Snape on this one. HANDS OFF THE STUDENTS!”

Sachiel took a deep breath and bowed. “As you wish, Headmaster.”

“Okay, now that that is cleared up, Sachiel, please go to the East Tower and see Professor Script. He will show you what to do.” The Headmaster waved him off to find the old Professor.

After Sachiel left, both McGonagall and Snape jumped on Albus about his lack of judgment.

“SILENCE!” Dumbledore yelled, and they both stopped yelling to look at him. “I am quite aware that neither of you like this arrangement. BUT it is my decision! And he stays! And he is not the first person I have given a second chance to.” He looked knowingly at Severus. “Now, I’m sure you both have important things to do. I suggest you go do them.”

Both of them left, neither speaking as they separated, each going their own way.

In the Great Hall at dinner, Severus looked around for his brother. He saw an empty chair that should be his seat. But no, Sachiel always had to make things difficult, always had to be the center of attention.

The Headmaster stood and got everyone’s attention. “I would like for everyone to wish Professor Script a fond farewell. He is retiring this evening due to muscle spasms, and the harsh winter will be too much for him this year.” The hall broke out in polite applause as the little elderly man got up to bow.

“Now, I wanted to introduce you to his temporary replacement. But it seems that he has not yet arrived to dinner.”

Just then the doors of the Great Hall burst open, and a man that looked remarkably like Professor Snape strutted in. Every student in the Great Hall — Hermione included — looked up at the High Table.

There sat Professor Severus Snape with his arms folded and a murderous look on his face. Other students couldn’t help to see that Professor McGonagall had the same look on her face. Everyone watched as Sachiel made his way to the High Table; no one could miss that he was dressed similarly to Severus Snape. The differences were that his clothes were tighter, and his frock was replaced by a tighter shirt, his undone robes billowing out behind him. In a word, this man was sexy.

Sachiel reached Albus and shook his hand. Albus then raised his hand to stop the mumblings that were going on from the students.

“I would like to introduce to you Mr. Sachiel Snape. He is the twin brother of our own Professor Severus Snape.\"
