A few minutes after Morrigan had entered her Clan Common, she bee lined for her room and sulked. Who did that rat bastard think he was, anyway? Insulting her town like that in her own country... it was worse than blasphemy! She flopped on her bed and wriggled out of her robes, plad muggle pants and a black tank top revealing themselves. She knew muggle clothing under student robes were looked down upon, but who was going to know? Its not like she would be stripping in public anytime soon. She got up and strode over to the kitchen, muttering \"Lumos\", the lights suddenly flicking on. She put some coffee on the stove and sat at the small t, st, still painfully enraged. Suddenly, a grey tabby furball came flying out of the next room and into her lap. Morrigan winced as she felt the cat\'s claws dig into her leg, but it turned to a smile when it nuzzled into her neck.
\"Oh, Orion... you little weirdo. You look like you\'ve seen Lucifer himself! I think I just may have today, though. Stupid Brit...\" she murmmured to the cat, stoking her long grey fur in a soothing manner.
A loud whistle alerted her that coffee was ready and she dumped the cat to the ground, the feline mewling in protest. She fixed herself a cup and sipped it, sighing to herself. A quick glance at the clock told her that it was way past bedtime and with that, she dissapeared into her rooms. As she slipped under the silk of her sheets, revenge plans were circulating in her exhausted mind. Professor Snape didnt know just who he was dealing with.
===============================
The next morning came way too early for Morrigan\'s taste; thank merlin it was friday. She showered and brushed her teeth, throwing her robes on hurriedly. She grabbed her bag and made her way downstairs to the Clan Common, whispering her wards behind her. She was greeted with smiles and waves, happy faces crossing her path. All of a sudden, she ran into something hard and unmoving. She looked up to see Brendan grinning at her.
\"Morrigan dear, did you get the number of that bus that hit you?\" he asked with a smirk. She whacked him hard in the chest before muttering \"Asshole...\" and making her way into the corridor.
She didnt even have time to look up before she plowed into another hard unmoving object, causing her to lose her balance and fall most ungracefully on her bottom. She looked up into a pair of black smoldering eyes that seemed none too kind at the moment. She furrowed her brows angrily and gathered the quills that had scattered across the hallway. Snape scowled.
\"Watch where youre going, idiot girl\" he growled before storming off. \"I\'m alright, you know! I really dont need help up! Thanks for the offer you worthless bat!\" she yelled at his retreating back, causing the portraits to smile at her sympathetically.
She got up and dusted herself off angrily, shooting poisonous glares down the hall before following after him. She desended the staircase and made her way into the dining hall where she took a seat at her clan table. She was joined by her best friend Abbey O\'Keefe, who commented on her frazzled look. Morrigan just shook her head and picked at her pancakes. Her eyes flicked disdainfully up to the staff table and she glared towards Severus. At that moment, Snape took the initiaative to look up, catching the angly glare from the Moor. He smirked and returened the glare with equal intensity. Abbey looked over to see just who her friend was so intent on staring down and almost spit milk out her nose when she saw.
\"You know, they say hes a vampire, and that the Snape family comes from a long line of Deatheaters.\" When the word \'Deatheater\' was mentioned, her eyes flew to Abbey \"I can believe that... just look at him!\"
Severus smiled triumphantly when the girl broke the eye contact. He always won at those kinds of things (or so he thought) and returned to picking at his bagel.
====================================
Severus made his way to the potions classroom, which was down in the bowels of the old castle. The Potions Master greeted Snape with a small smile. They talked for a while before the first bell rang, signalling the start of classes. One by one, students milled in, taking seats and talking to neighbors. After a few minutes, the influx of students bacame quicker and soon the room was filled with drowsy teenagers, of the Moor and Freelance clans piled in.
Morrigan stepped into the dank potions room and yawned, talking with Abbey before her eyes drifted to the front of the room and she stopped in her tracks. No... no no no no no no no. This bastard was NOT going to ruin her best subject! Her day, it seemed, was just getting progressively worse and worse. Severus\' eyes fell on the Murphy girl and he groaned inwardly; he was perusing the grade list earlier and she had the highest grade, more for her to brag about. She took a seat and evaded his eyes, lips pursed. It was going to be a long day for the both of them.
