Ch.3
Chapter 3
Oh thank you, guys, you really make my day with those reviews! It feels so wonderful to be loved. I wish that Harry would give in, and Draco, too, but a “deadly struggle for the soul would break up the monotony nicely,” as Sirius ((sobs, RIP, Sirius)) puts it. They can’t just come together. Remember, love would be all the stronger because of the struggle, but it hurts me to make them so pitifully sad.
Hugs,
Errad

Harry had made up with Ron and Hermione, and was now talking to them during dinner. He willed his eyes not to travel towards the Slytherin table. His voice was cheery and carefree, and a radiant smile was on his face. He was a professional at putting on an act of cheeriness, when, in his mind, he was crucifying himself. He picked at his idiocy that he thought that Draco and him could be one. He enjoyed making that wound bleed again, so the message would stay in his mind for the years to come, so never again would commit that mistake.
“Hermione, stop worrying, you’ll do excellent on the test Professor Binns is giving today,” he felt himself say and bring her close, kissing her shining brown hair. Harry’s eyes locked with Malfoy’s, the green and the gray. Malfoy’s sneer drooped with Harry’s smile, but in a second, both flickered on again.
“Thank you, Harry, it’s just that Hilzard the Giant and Kilzard the Giant are so dreadfully confusing,” she said, laughing, her eyes sparkling.
Ron looked around with a bemused expression on his freckled face, “Mate, I don’t even know who they are.”
Harry smiled, in moments like these his anguish was hidden away in the very depths of his being, “Bloody hell, at times like these, the fact that Aurors don’t need this kind of training cheers me up.”
Hermione stood up, “I’ve got to brush up on my giants. Care to join me, Ron?”
“Yep, I’ve got to jump at the chance, ‘specially since I skipped that two-foot long essay,” he said, joining her to go to the common room.
Harry stayed at the table, he didn’t know why, but he didn’t want to leave Draco yet. During the moment their eyes met, it was as if they were alone, and the world receded into their shadows. He sighed and shook his head, and slumped back, but caught Dumbledore’s eye and sat up straight.
----
Draco’s mind slowly regist tha that everybody was leaving, in fact, by now, only Dumbledore was left slowly eating his pie, and Harry, sitting at the table gazing thoughtfully out into nowhere. His insides gave a nervous churn as the silver-haired man stood up and glided out of the Great Hall. Silence reigned, creating a feeling of awkwardness. He glanced at Harry, and stood up, swallowing nervously, for Harry Potter was the only one that could make him feel vulnerable.
Walking towards him, his footsteps echoed, making Harry look up and look at him with reproachful eyes that begged him not to come neat when the night before he broke them apart. Draco knew it was wrong to break Harry’s heart by urging him on, for Draco was hesitant, and believed if he could get Harry to surrender, fear might clutch at him again and he would shatter Harry.
“Don’t,” Harry pleaded, his voice hoarse.
“I can’t, I need you, Potter,” I replied.
He shook his head, “You’ll regret saying this, Malfoy. You’ll regret showing emotion before anybody. Being broken,” he paused, “I don’t want you ever to regret anything you did with me, like yesterday.” Harry stood up, “This is good-bye, Draco.” Bending down he kissed Draco lightly on the lips, the lights dimming in the Great Hall. It was the first time Harry called him by his first name.
“Harry, I’ll get you. I always get everything I want,” Draco Malfoy uttered fervently, causing Harry to wrench open the door in anger and run out.

So, could you please review? That gives me purpose.
