Chapter 3
Draco ran back into the Slytherin common room and made his way quickly to his dorm. He saw Blaise give him a look but Blaise hadn’t moved from his seat. Draco ignored the pitiful boy and ran to his room. Good, he’ll thank Blaise when he was less of a pain for collecting his things for him.
Draco ran onto his bed and sat locking the door before he took out the letter. He looked down at the letter in his hand. “WHAT THE FUCK!”
*~*
Harry quickly took off his invisibi clo cloak as soon as he almost reached the sight of the fat lady. He shoved the cloak into his bag and entered the common room a bit more relaxed than he was earlier.
“Harry, you alright mate?” Called Ron
Harry nodded then made his way upstairs.
Harry sighed and put his belongings back. When he was done he took out the letter that was hastily shoved into his pocket.
“BLOODY HELL!”
*~*
Draco looked at the envelope once more. No way, why did it say ‘Harry Potter’ on his letter?
Draco opened the letter and read the content. //WHAT?//
Draco read the poem once more, //Bloody hell, this letter is about me!//
The silver haired Slytherin plopped on his bed with the letter held to his chest, he couldn’t help but feel like the happiest wizard alive, or to every have lived for all he knew. This was, well this was the best thing that ever happened!
He looked at the letter again and couldn’t stop the grin that formed on his face, “This letter is living bloody proof that he loves me too!” He said to himself and kissed the letter. He couldn’t help but think how wonderful it would be to kiss the Griffindor.
*~*
Harry tried to turn the envelope. Twist it, turn it, do SOMETHING with it, anything would do as he tried desperately to change the words that said ‘Draco Malfoy’ back to ‘Harry Potter’.
He gave up and opened the letter that didn’t belong to him. He couldn’t help it; he was a curious little Golden Boy.
The raven hair read the poem over and over again. //No way!// he thought to himself.
“Emerald green!” that was his eyes!! His eyes were emerald green. No one in the school had eyes and emerald as his. Some were green yes, but they weren’t emerald. Only he had emerald eyes!
The raven-haired boy’s legs betrayed him and he fell rollinto tto the bed still staring at the letter. He sighed and smiled. Still staring at the letter in his hand.
Could it be? That in one day, his dreams have come true?
Just then another owl came tapping at the window and Harry went to let the owl in. There was no lingering, no true acknowledgement, the owl just came to do as it was instructed and flew away.
Harry looked at the letter before him. ‘Harry Potter’
He opened it and his eyes lit up.
‘Meet me in the shadows immediately.
Sneering faces’
Harry put the cloak back into his bag and ran out the door.
The other Griffindor shot him another weird look but he didn’t care. He did the same thing and ran for the shadows with his cloak on once more.
When he arrived Draco was hidden among the trees but he would spot that silver hair anywhere.
*~*
Draco heard a crack and twisted around quickly, he didn’t see anyone. Then suddenly Harry appeared as the Griffindor took off his cloak.
“Well, I didn’t know you had one of those.”
He saw Harry blush, “Not many people do.”
Draco took a step closer to the Griffindor and produced the letter, “I believe this belongs to you.”
Harry looked at the letter nodded.
“Well then here you are.” Said Draco shaking his hand willing Harry to take the letter from him, totally aware that he was unable to move his legs any further but he was not going to let the Griffindor know that, not yet anyway.
Harry took a step forward to take the letter from him but before he could wrap his hand around the letter it slipped away from him.
“Not so fast Potter. I believe you might have something that belongs to me.”
Harry’s eyes shot open and he nodded clumsily while reaching in his pocket to get Draco’s letter.
Harry held it out to the Slytherin but the Slytherin didn’t move.
“Draco, are you okay?”
“Yes why not?”
“Because you’re not coming any closer.”
“That’s because-because I can’t.”
“Why not?”
“Because my legs won’t move.”
Harry’s eyes shot wide open, “Why? Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, just nerves.”
Harry blushed and Draco couldn’t help but love that beautiful shy face of the Griffindor’s.
Harry took the incentive to be the one to walk. But the letters didn’t return to the owners, not yet.
Draco grabbed Harry’s outstretched wrist and instead of taking the letter he took Harry’s lips to meet with his own.
The shock from Harry knocked Draco over and they fell over onto the grounds but the silver blonde didn’t care. He was kissing Harry and that was all that mattered.
They stayed like that for a long time, just kissing, exploring each other’s mouths with their tongue and tasting what they other tasted like.
Draco had wrapped his arms around Harry’s back and wouldn’t let go. H did didn’t protest. He loved the security the Slytheris gis giving him. He felt so protected. Everything was perfect!
Harry lifted his head from the kiss and Draco whimpered. Harry smiled and gave the Slytherin a small peck with his lips before pulling away. Trying to pull away at least, the Slytherin wouldn’t release his hold.
“Draco...”
“But if I let you go you’ll never come back.”
“Are you mad? I never want to leave but we have to. We still have school tomorrow.”
“Let’s run away Harry.”
“What?”
“Come on. Let’s run away and never come back.”
“Why?”
“So we never have to leave each other.”
“Draco, we can’t do that.”
Draco pouted and Harry gave him another peck on the lips.
Finally Draco released his hold on his emerald eyes and they both rose from the ground.
“I guess opposites do go together.” Said Harry
“What do you mean?”
“Well, I was here thinking earlier about the letter and I realized that we’re just so different.”
“Harry, haven’t you ever heard of opposites attracting to one another?”
“Oh yeah, I guess I never thought of it that way.”
Draco smiled and leaned in to give his Griffindor one last kiss goodnight before they left the confines of the shadows.
Draco ran onto his bed and sat locking the door before he took out the letter. He looked down at the letter in his hand. “WHAT THE FUCK!”
