Dreams and Wishes
One month Later....
With their seventh and last year at Hogwarts fast approaching, Draco, Hermione, and baby Blaise went to Hogsmede to pick up some last minute supplies. Hermione decided she was going to spend her summer at Hogwarts with Draco and Blaise and as head boy and girl, They stayed in their quarters that Dumbledore had altered, putting in a small adjourning room for Blaise. Hermione had owled her parents the day she became engaged to Draco explaining the situation. Needless to say, it didn\'t go over very well... actually everything was fine until her father commanded her to leave the magical world. For Hermione, that was the last straw. Why couldn\'t they understand that she was doing the right thing for everyone? Hermione knew her parents, though. Her mother would stand by her father and the only word her father understood was \"marriage\". Hermione let out a sigh. Why was everything so complicated?
Draco looked at Hermione out of the corner of his eye. He felt like sighing himself. She looked so angry and so unhappy. Damn her stupid muggle parents to Hades and back! Couldn\'t they see that this was hard for her? She was giving up everything to help him and her family turned their backs on her? What kind of a parent was that? Draco looked at the little sleeping face on his shoulder and promised himself that he would never treat her the way Hermione\'s parents treated her.. he would, at least, try to understand. Draco couldn\'t understand this sudden urge to see her smile. He needed to do something to make her happy. Suddenly, the idea popped into his head. It was perfect. \"Hermione, follow me.\" he told her, grabbing her hand and dragging her into Diagon Ally.
Hermione couldn\'t stifle a gigle. \"Draco? Where are we going?\"
He never looked back at her, but he could hear the small smile on her face. \"Patience is a virtue, Granger.\"
Hermione just rolled her eyes and followed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Draco had left Hermione at the dresss shop, saying he had some things to do... but not before he left a thousand galleons on the table and whispered to the seamstress to \"do her magic\". The seamstress had put a blinding charm on her eyes.. she couldn\'t see a thing. She could feel different fabrics being shifted across her body, then being taken away. She wanted to see what was happening so badly she could have screamed. Finally, the world opened to her eyes. \"Oh, my God, Miss. Granger. Look at you!\" the woman whispered reverently to the vision in the mirror, an hour later.
Hermione looked at her reflection in the mirror and gasped in wide-eyed awe at the beauty looking back at her. Draped in satin and chiffon the color of candlelight, Hermione\'s wedding dress was simple perfection. A stylish sheath that left her shoulders bare, except for the chiffon scarf that seemed to float above her silken skin as her gown caressed her slim form. A subdued scooped neckline didn\'t hide the fact her breasts swelled temptingly upward as she took a deep, steadying breath. Her hair was pulled up into curls and held in place with tiny pearls, but for a few twirling strands that teased her bare shoulders and left her feeling like a bride in Grecian times.
\"Oh my! Your fiance does have excellent taste.\" The woman whispered, picking up some stray fabric peices from the ground.
\"My fiance told you to make this dress?\" Hermione breathed, her heart seemed to be in her throat. How did he know?
\"Yes, he was very explicit with his instructions. From the neckline to the hemline. I guess he just invisioned you a certain way.\" The woman said with a shrug.
Finally Hermione was alone with her thoughts. How could Draco know about this dress? This was the one thing she wanted more than anything. This dress THE THE dress. The dress she had dreamed of her whole life. \"How could Draco know?\"
\"Know what?\" Hermione whirled around to find Draco standing right behind her. He looked her up and down, his eyes glued to every curve. \"You look beautiful.\"
Hermione blushed. \"Thank you. Where\'s Blaise?\"
Draco had the good grace to blush. \"I took her back to Hogwarts. Poppy has her. I thought we could have some time with just ourselves.\"
\"You didn\'t have to do that, Draco.\"
\"Hermione, you have been with that baby for a month straight. We need some time for just ourselves. We do have a wedding to plan, you know.\" Draco didn\'t even realize he was walking towards Hermione until she was close enough to touch. He could stop his hand from reaching up to touch her face with gentle touches. \"You really do look beautiful, Hermione.\"
Hermione didn\'t realize she was holding her breath until it whooshed out of her with the contact of his skin on hers. y siy single dark fantasy she had ever had seemed to flow to her brain with the simple touch. Had she always wanted Draco? A thousand questions seemed to flow into one answer. Yes... maybe not always but lately, Draco Lucius Malfoy was the only thing she thought about when she was alone in her room. Was he coming closer, or was she moving forward?
\"What are you doing, Hermione?\" Draco whispered, nestling his hand in her soft hair.
\"I don\'t know.\" she whispered before closing the space between them, capturing his lips with her own. Nothing else mattered. He didn\'t know if it was day or night, if they were inside or outside. Heaven and hell could have collided at that moment and he wouldn\'t have noticed. The only thing that mattered was the woman he was holding in his arms.
The kiss was becoming more and more intense by the passing second. They were kissing like they were the other\'s source of oxygen, hands roaming freely where ever they wished. They were getting lost in each other, forgetting their earlier years together. They could feel the blood rushing to their ears, blocking out every noise other than the beating of the other\'s heart.
He nibbled on her lower lip as the kiss continued to deepen. She moaned against his lips, pressing her hips against his. She felt as one of his hands cupped her bottom, holding her against him, showing her just how badly he wanted her. His free hand went to her hair, gently pulling her face away from his. He looked at her for a long moment, his eyes trying to remember everything about her passion filled face. He gently pulled her head back, exposing her long neck to his gaze. His mouth worked a warpath on her neck, his tongue flicking her pulse points. As he worked his was back up her neck, he could hear her breath quicken, felt her hips push against his. He gently nibbled and sucked on her earlobe. \"Do you have any idea what you do to me?\" he asked her, his voice dripping with arousal. He pulled away slightly, just enough to look at her. He was just about to kiss her again when a shrill cry filled the air. Ginny Weasly dropped her bags and ran out of the room.
They pulled apart, the sound startling them. They looked at each other, their chests heaving, trying to catch their breath. \"Who was that?\" Draco asked, his mind scattered to the four winds.
\"Ginny. Oh God, she saw us, Draco! What are w going to do?\" Hermione cried, pulling herself out of his arms.
Draco\'s blood froze. How could he feel this way? His wife wasn\'t even cold in her grave and he was kissing another... and it was more than pretending. He had felt it down in his bones. He wanted to take her right there, and probably would have if the youngest Weasel hadn\'t come in. What was wrong with him? Didn\'t he love Blaise? Hermione asking her question again brought him out of his thoughts. \"We aren\'t going to do anything. Our wedding announcement is going to be in The Daily Prophet tomorrow. Front Page. She didn\'t see anything that she wouldn\'t have found out about tomorrow. I talked to Albus... we\'re getting married at the welcome feast. Oh, here..\" Draco threw a ring box at her. \"I bought this today. Put it on.. you\'re my fiancee now. Get dressed.\"
Hermione opened the box to see a beautiful saphire and diamond ring... it was perfect. She looked up to than him, but he had already left. Hermione was left with her thoughts.
