“What did you just say?” Harry asked, startled.

“Your father and Sirius were in love,” Remus replied quietly.

“How come…why didn’t Sirius ever tell me?” Harry whispered.

“I imagine it was because he didn’t want to lose you, Harry.”

“What do you mean?”

Remus sighed. “He probably figured that you would not want to hear that your parents weren’t in love. My guess is he thought you would get mad at him, and he would lose you.”

“I need to choose Sirius and my father, don’t I?”

“It’s up to you, Harry.”

“I know, but I was already leaning that way. I think. I’m so confused.”

“I can understand that.”

“Remus, who would you choose?”

“It’s not my place to answer that, Harry. It’s your decision.”

Harry nodded his head. “How long were they together? I mean, when did they get together in the first place?”

Remus studied Harry for several seconds before he answered. “I don’t think I should be the one to tell you that.”

“All right.” Harry stood up and walked over toward the door. “Remus, thank you for helping me.”

“You’re welcome, Harry. Good luck with your decision.”

“Thank you.”

“You mean to tell me that your dad and Sirius were together?” Draco asked, in shock. “Gods, Harry, that is bloody amazing, isn’t it? It makes sense, though, don’t you think?”

“I don’t know what I think anymore,” Harry replied. “Wait a minute. What? How does it make sense?”

Draco sat down next to his lover. “Well, they were really close, weren’t they? You should look through your pictures again sometime. They look like they belong together.”

“Have you always thought that?”

Draco shook his head sheepishly. “To be honest, I looked at your pictures while you were gone getting helpful comments from people like Seamus.”

Harry snorted. “His reasoning sort of reminded me of you, Drac.”

“Nonsense. Anyway, look back at your pictures, Harry. When I looked earlier, I honestly thought they could have been in love. I figured I must have been imagining things at the time.”

“I think I am leaning towards my dad and Sirius,” Harry said quietly as he watched Draco get up and retrieve the photo albums.

“You really have been leaning that way all along, haven’t you?”

“I suppose so. How did you know that?”

“Because I know you,” Draco answered. “Here, look at that picture. See what I mean?”

Harry studied the picture in front of him. It was a picture of Sirius and James taken in their seventh year. They were standing next to a large snowman. However, neither one was looking at the camera—they were both looking at each other.

“Gods, Drac, you’re right! I never noticed that before, but they’re staring right at each other. They’re obviously in love!”

“Looks like it to me,” Draco replied.

Harry continued looking through the photo album while Draco silently watched. After a few minutes, Draco stood up and walked to the door.

“Where are you going?” Harry asked, worriedly.

Draco smiled, “Someone is knocking at the door.”

“I hadn’t even noticed,” Harry remarked, slightly amused.

“No kidding,” Draco said as he opened the door. “Dad? What are you doing here?”

“It’s wonderful to see you, too, Draco,” Lucius replied.

Draco rolled his eyes. “You know what I mean.”

“Of course. May I come in?”

“Of course,” Draco smirked. “So, seriously, why are you here? I mean, naturally, I am happy to see you. Now, what’s going on?”

Lucius and Harry both looked at each and grinned. They knew how positively nosy Draco could be sometimes.

Draco crossed his arms over his chest. “Are you two quite finished?”

Lucius sat down in a chair opposite Harry and Draco. “I actually came to talk with Harry.”

“Why?” Draco and Harry asked at the same time.

Lucius sighed. “Severus told me about the decision you have to make, Harry.”

“When are you and Severus finally going to admit that you love each other and shag?” Draco asked.

H sno snorted and looked back at Lucius. “Just ignore him.”

“I’ve had practice doing that,” Lucius replied.

Draco rolled his eyes upwards.

“So what did you want to tell me?” Harry asked.

“What do you know already?” Lucius questioned carefully.

“Remus just told me about my dad and Sirius if that’s what you mean.”

Lucius nodded. “Good. I was hoping you would already know about that. Did he tell you anything about your mother?”

Harry shook his head. “You know something, don’t you?”

Lucius placed his hands at the top of his snake cane and rested his chin on his hands. “I’m not sure I should tell you, Harry.”

“Merlin, dad, you have to tell him now!” Draco exclaimed.

Lucius glanced at Harry, and the Gryffindor nodded his head.

“Your mother and Remus were in love.”
