In the Library
***Wow, I can’t believe so many people have actually read this……..now review……REVIEW!***
“Darling, where’s my bag?” Draco asked sweetly putting an arm around Hermione, who instinctively cringed. Draco gave her a harder squeeze and brought his face close to hers.
“Now now darling, we mustn’t create a scene now shall we?” he asked coldly. Hermione shook her head mutely and looked up to where Harry and Ron where staring at her in disgust.
It had been a week since Draco had announced that he and Hermione were an ‘item’, and Harry and Ron hadn’t gotten over the shock of it yet. As for Snape that bumbling, stupid, betraying fool who had refused to come within a 10 km radius of her since they had been caught. Actually, Hermione reflected…it was her fault too. She had trusted that sneaky, b-
“Found it!” Draco’s voice shattered Hermione’s thoughts to a million pieces, and she gave him a weak smile.
“Let’s go then…..er…..hone-Draco.” Hermione said still smiling, but unable to make herself say the dreadful “h” word. Draco returned her smile.
“That’s the spirit doll. Now let’s go or we’ll be late for the game. Slytherin versus Ravenclaw.” Draco began to gently push Hermione in that direction but she resisted and turned towards him.
“I’ll meet you later Draco, I just have some…umm….work to finish up.” Hermione said her voice managing to stay firm. Draco gave her doubtful look but shrugged.
“Whatever, I’ll see you after the game.” And with this he left the library. He had no sooner closed the door behind him then Harry and Ron jumped out of their seats and bombarded Hermione with questions.
“What’s wrong with you?”
“Eww…..doesn’t he leave slime trails on you?”
“I can’t believe you’re doing this.”
“ENOUGH!” Hermione yelled, gaining silence from the two in front of her but a reprimand from the librarian.
“Let’s get out of here and I’ll tell you about it.” She shooed them out of the library and they went into the Gryffindor common room where she led them to an empty corner. She started to tell them what had happened, but hesitated. How could she tell on Severus? But, he had been a royal ass, so Hermione took a deep breath and told them the whole story, beginning form when she had fist begun to see Snape. She saw Ron open his mouth several times to speak- but he was hushed by Harry who listened attentively. Finally she finished, and looked from Harry to Ron waiting for their opinions.
“Well,” Ron said breaking the silence, “you sure do know how to pick your men.” Hermione stared at him and felt tears build up while Harry slapped Ron on the arm and gave him a disapproving look.
“Really Ron, sometimes you are so thick.” Harry muttered and gestured to Hermione who was beginning to cry. Ron sighed and began to pick at a spot on his robes.
“Sorry.” He said in a tone that sounded as if he were at wand point.
“That’s OK. But what should I do now?” Hermione sniffed. Harry sighed then looked at his watch.
“Right now I think you better go meet Draco…..you’re already half an hour late. He’s going to have a hissy fit.”
***Horrible ending….I’m sorry. I only just got a chance to write this chapter, and now I’m sick with the flu…..well……….I suppose the next one may be better.***
