 Chapter Twenty-Nine

“To Be Wizards and Warriors”

“I don’t agree with this plan I also don’t agree with you risking yourself.”

“Considering that I’m an adult what you agree and disagree with means little.”

“You are my great grandson I will not allow you to rush off to your death!”

“I have no intention of dying and as far as I am concerned you can either come along and help or return to wherever you come from and leave me to do what has to be done.”

“And what of your children?”

“I made concessions for them, if this all goes pear shaped I left my last will and testament, which I want you to promise that if I don’t make it out I want you to continue to search for them and take them in as your own, to protect them and never let anyone from this side know where or who they are.”

“Harrison?”

“Promise it will be done!”

“On my honor as an elemental and leader of my people we will protect them.”

“Thank you, now are you going to help?”

“We both will but do not ask me to let you go to battle alone we will be there with you.”

“So much for an elementals nature.”

“Mother Nature is a fickle mistress and when anyone dares harm her children then as any other she will defend and fight as every mother is apt to do.”

“Sire?”

“We will do what we must, I will not lose Harry.”

“I was not going to dissent I wanted to know if I should call the others?”

“All help would be welcomed, but for now we must do what we can ourselves.”

“I have never had support like that I want to thank both of you, I mean you barely know me yet you are willing to come and fight by my side even though it is against your personal principles.”

“We are all family and I have lost too much over the years to not fight for what I have been granted, you Harrison are a true gift to me.”

“Harry I have never gone by Harrison it’s always been just Harry.”

“Maybe once this whole business is done you can close the book on Harry as you are closing the book on being a wizard as you said before.”

“I will think about it later but thank you for the suggestion and the help Rylan. There are a few people I must speak to before we leave if you will excuse me.”

“Sire we must call to the others.”

“You are in agreement with what I have chosen for our people for us?”

“Yes Sire.”

“Rylan you have been part of my family and part of our world all your life, my youngest advisor, my closest friend I can not order you to do this to go against your own feelings.”

“What was all that training for if not for a moment such as this? You have been a father, advisor and my closest friend even when I was a rude obnoxious adolescent; you never turned your back or refused me. I do not follow you now because you are the leader of our people and I must follow my leader I go because it is the right thing to do. These dark wizards must be dealt with before they come after our people, if not now then we will have our very own war to fight later on, we may have gone into peaceful isolation and left the wizarding world to themselves to protect what we have and keep ourselves safe but we are not sheep to go easily to the slaughter I am a child of mother nature and I can and will fight because it is what must be done.”

“Thank you my friend, now I must ask that you do something for me?”

“Yes, anything.”

“You will protect Harrison,  Harry. You will become his Celeres.”

“I can not do that you are my Ductor –Oris, the one I have sworn my loyalty, allegiance and life to.”

“I know this and when my grandson returns you will swear all that to him, I want you to be all that for him. My grandson has had little to no support from those who claimed to care for him those who have called themselves friends and family, only to turn and betray that trust at the very first chance. He needs support, unfailing trust and faith and you out of all the people, wizards and all creatures on our planet can give it to him this I believe this I know and that is why I know you will do as I will.”

“If it is your will it will be done Sire.”

“No Rylan I do not command this I ask it as a friend if you cannot do this I will understand.”

“I did not agree to my leader I agreed to the man that I have trusted all my life I will do as you ask.

“Thank you now there are preparations to make.”
