One Big Happy Family
EPILOGUE: One BIG Happy Family
“Where are my little angels?” Draco asked as he walked into the media room.
“Aurelia and Juliana are out back with your father and Severus.” Hermione said as she shifted baby Julius against her breast and rose from the sofa. “Welcome home Draco, where is August?” She asked after Draco’s girlfriend.
“Oh, she’s….I don’t know, you know we just agreed to get together so the ministry would back off, she’s probably in Crete playing with the pool boy.” Draco rolled his eyes as he followed Hermione outside and onto the terrace. He stopped suddenly and began laughing hysterically at his father and godfather, dressed as fairytale princes complete with buckles on their shoes and crowns atop their heads while his little sisters made them waltz across the backyard.
“Draco! Draco!” His little angels, with their blonde curls flying came running at him, climbing his legs until he pulled them both into his arms and gave each of them a loud smacking kiss.
“Hello my lovelies, did you miss me?” He asked.
“Yes! Did you bring a present?” Juliana asked as she looked around.
“Did you bring sweets?” Aurelia smiled, wrapping her chubby little arms about his neck.
“I brought both.” He said, carrying the girls down to the grass and digging through his pockets.
Lucius and Severus transfigured their clothing back to normal and breathed a sigh of relief at the reprieve from portraying royalty.
“He’s spoiling them.” Lucius said, watching Draco transform the dolls he brought his sisters into their normal size.
“Leave him alone.” Hermione said as she handed Julius off to Severus. He had become an expert at handling the children since the twins birth, but had developed a special closeness to little Julius.
Severus’s weekends were spent primarily playing with the kids during the days, but at night you could still find them dueling in the back yard, or playing Snitch n’Shoot, albeit a bit more quietly now that there were little ones in the house. So far the quill box remained hidden, thank goodness, and occasionally Lucius would slip off to London and bring home a Happy Meal just because.
“By the way Hermione, I’ve been undressing you with my eyes all day, time to see if I’m right.” Severus smiled, winking at her.
“You are a bad boy Severus, go to my room!” She laughed.
“Do you have a sunburn, or are you always this hot?”
“Remember my name, you’ll be screaming it later.”
“Do you two sit around and think up this stuff just to annoy me?” Lucius asked.
“Hey witch, I’m a wizard can I put my wand in your cauldron?”
“Wanna play house? I can be the door and you can slam me all night long.”
“I can’t believe I have to spend the rest of my life listening to you two.” Lucius smiled and sat back in his chair and waited. Eventually they would get to laughing so hard they wouldn’t be able to continue. It was an odd family he now had, but it was his. Purebloods, muggleborn and half-bloods too, just one big happy family.
***Hope you enjoyed Matched...I loved writing this, and wish more authors wrote about Lucius....he's a complex character that can be played with in so many different ways....think about it! Ill read it. :)
