Walking through the thick woods, following the scent of Fenrir Greyback in his Animagus form of a small black wolf, Harry sneezed as the acrid scent of body odor reached his nose. Huffing, feeling annoyed that he seemed to always be a few steps behind Greyback, Harry increased his speed until he was silently running through the woods.Breaking through a clearing, Harry first caught sight of the remains of a burned house, followed by the sight of a large black werewolf with red eyes pinning Fenrir to the ground while a group of teens with glowing yellow eyes surrounded who Harry thought looked like Stiles, the teen he had met at the police station.
Slowing, Harry faltered and nearly fell as all the eyes turned and fell on him, the werewolf snarling, warning him back.
Feeling like he'd be safer in his human form, Harry changed back, pulling his wand from his pocket.
“Whoa awesome are you a werewolf too?” Stiles called from his spot in the middle of the group.
“No and I thought I warned you about approaching him?” Harry said motioning towards the still pinned Greyback with a frown.
Shrugging, Stiles answered with, “I have a problem listening to certain warnings.”
Rolling his eyes, Harry said, “I should have known. But that doesn't matter. What matters is I need to take Greyback into custody and bring him back home so would you kindly remove yourself from him?”
Growling, the red eyed werewolf stubbornly sat down on Greyback, refusing to move.
“Come on I don't care how you and the others have managed to change when it isn't the full moon or how they're even half changed, but Greyback must return with me to pay for all the deaths he and his pack caused.”
“I think what Derek is badly conveying is that he wants proof that you aren't a hunter just out to kill innocent werewolves before he sends him with you.” Stiles said, pushing his way through the huddled mass of growling teens.
Rubbing his eyes, Harry gave a sigh and said, “Fine, but I'd prefer if you'd change back to your human self so I can explain and I'd prefer to put Greyback in chains and sedate him so he doesn't escape again since it's taken me this long to catch up to him.”
As the black werewolf changed back, turning into a tall man with the long claws, fangs, and eerie glowing red eyes, he growled out at one of the teens, “All of you go inside and wait in the living room. You,” He said, looking towards Harry, “Come with me and we'll lock him in the basement in the chains we have.”
Standing up, the man yanked Greyback up and pushed him towards the doors leading into the basement.
Following after him, Harry pulled the vial of modified wolfsbane potion from his pocket. It was a new version that would weaken a werewolf and take away their strength, making them weak like a normal wizard or witch again. It was going to make Harry feel a little more secure in being able to handle Fenrir while bringing him back to the Ministry. Thankfully he had enough for three doses so he could use some while talking to the Alpha that was still eying him distrustfully.
