Owl Post
One look at the pile of magazines and the conspicuously bright pink colour of Divination Foretold sticking out of that pile told her she'd gotten her arrogant neighbour's post again. Bar this one difference, they had similar subscriptions, but she still wanted her own stuff.
Bloody Owl Post was supposed to be reliable.
But no matter how many complaints she sent to the proper authorities, nothing seemed to be done about it.
Which meant she had to go without her copy of Arithmancy Monthly until the asshole seemed fit to bring it back. Last time she'd knocked on his door early in the morning, he'd simply ignored her. He was awake. She knew that much. Any idiot would've detected that Silencing Charm he'd cast as a reaction to her knocking.
It wouldn't be so annoying if he would keep his hands off her stuff, but she always got it back full of notations in the margins or strikethroughs in the text. Clearly, Tom Marvolo Riddle had zero respect for other people's property.
She dumped the magazines on her side table, glaring at the offending address label, when there was a knock on her door.
Someone apparently needed to read his horoscope rather badly.
Vengeance was hers.
With a flick of her wrist, Divination Foretold opened up and the pages flipped as she substituted the horoscopes' texts to match parts of the fairytales by the brothers Grimm. Only the cover remained the same.
Enjoy reading how in December one should be wary of spinning wheels, asshole.
Or perhaps he was a capricorn and could stand in front of a mirror, inquiring who the most beautiful was of the land. He had the giant ego to match.
She smiled sweetly as she opened the door. His tall, imposing figure held out her crumpled magazines with an overly charming smile that never reached his eyes. He'd clearly defiled them again with his obnoxious commentary.
"It seems our owls have been mixed up," Riddle said evenly.
"As usual," Hermione said, exchanging the magazines without a comment about their state. She closed the door in his face with a cheery "thanks."
